Self-catering rental, will sleep 5, with sunny patio and solarium with barbecue

Semi-detached bungalow has fully-equipped kitchen/living room which opens on to large patio. Further large fridge-freezer available in cellar. Air conditioning. TV with access to Freesat channels and Spanish Freeview TV, DVD and WiFi. One double bedroom, second bedroom has triple bunk beds - one top bunk and double bed below. Separate laundry area with washing machine. Spiral staircase leads up to spacious roof terrace. Storage area on roof houses sunbeds, barbecue etc.

The attractive urbanisation has white houses set in green lawns. NO SWIMMING POOL open at present, but it's less than 10 minutes walk to the fine sandy beach and village with shops, bars and restaurants. Ideal area for children. The village has been a favourite with Spanish families for many years and is very busy in summer. The village has featured in 'A Place in the Sun'.

Airports - Almeria or Murcia. New motorway (extension of AP7) is now open- quicker access to Murcia - should be less than an hour.

Golf: A new 18 hole (par 70) is now open Agilon Golf (1.5Kms away ) There are several established courses within 25 miles - including Desert Springs, Valle del Este, Marina Golf,

Relaxing stay in comfortable bungalow

We chose Ken's bungalow as we prefer to holiday in smaller less touristy areas and as a place to wind down prior to my semi-retirement. Ken's directions and the video making the urbanisation easy to find. Paul and Tineka are only a few doors away and were there to greet us on arrival.

The bungalow itself had everything we needed and more. The only negatives were no pool and although the town isn't far away we couldn't walk as my wife's knee operation hadn't gone well, obviously not Ken's fault! (These the only reasons we gave it 4 stars and not 5.)

The gardens in the urbanisation are well tended with a small team looking after them, seemingly non-stop.

We loved the area and the drive along the coast road outside of the towns and villages was a delight. Almost every other turn in the road revealing a cove with a beach or lovely view. If you like the beach you'll love these.

The town itself has a variety of bars and restaurants and Restaurant Pepa served up superb fillet steaks.

The town was fairly quiet until the first weekend in July and I'm guessing the Spanish season was just about to kick in as we noticed a lot more people and children around the weekend early week before we left. A small fair had been established during our stay and looked as though it may possibly be there for the summer.

We loved our holiday here and found it so relaxing there were a couple of days we didn't go anywhere, preferring to relax up on the solarium or quite often on the small patio in the shade.

Little White House St Juan

We had a wonderfully relaxing week in this lovely house, everything you needed, was supplied and it was very clean and comfortable.

The directions we received from Ken were very good, we didn't get lost once. We were met by Ava, who let us into the property and gave us some useful tips.

We would certainly recommend this property to our family and friends,though it was very quiet when we were there in January there were restuarants and bars open and plenty of places to visit.

Un séjour formidable

Nous avons été pour une semaine à San Juan, un séjour vraiment sympa, la maison est très agréable, avec tout ce qu'il faut à l'intérieur, un endroit très calme et propre. Et prendre ses repas sur les terrasses quel bonheur ! La plage n'est pas très loin à pied, c'est l'idéal, le petit supermarché n'est pas cher du tout contrairement à ce qu'on aurait pu croire. Je conseille cet endroit pour découvrir l'Andalousie.

Quiet village with fine sandy beaches, in the eastern most part of Andalucia, an area which is not yet over-developed. Three golf courses are being built nearby, Nearest town is Aguilas, about ten minutes away by car. Aguilas (in Murcia province) has wide range of shops, a castle and an excellent sandy beach. In the other direction is Vera beach less than 30kms away along scenic coast road, and Garrucha with its harbour, still a working fishing village. The province of Almeria is noted for its desert areas, which have often been used as film sets.
