Classic Cabin with access to skiing, hiking, biking, lakes, fishing
About Colm Kennedy
The cabin has been in our family since the 1970's. We continue to update it with modern conveniences but always try to maintain its classic charm.
Colm Kennedy purchased this Cabin in 2005
Why Colm Kennedy chose Arnold
In the winter, there's skiing and sledding. In the summer, there's the river, hiking, and biking. There's always something to do in Arnold.
What makes this Cabin unique
The Kennedy Cabin was built in 1954 and represents a typical California cabin of that era -- from its original knotty pine walls, to its large wood-burning stove, to the giant pine trees towering overhead. With its cozy feel, hammock between the pines and collection of books, games and the DVDs, our hope is that you will be as relaxed and comfortable as we are when we're at the cabin.

This cabin is so cute and clean. Lots of games to play and books to read.
The cabin was clean, easy to get to. It was a quiet, beautiful area. The town of Arnold is cute but many places close semi-early. I’m disappointed we didn’t have time to go to Big Trees. We stayed there while Yosemite Valley so it was quite the drive. Overall, this cabin is definitely a woodland getaway.
Es una cabaña acogedora con buena ubicación, y con todo lo necesario para relajarse y pasar unas buenas vacaciones disfrutando de la hermosa naturaleza!!
Nice Cabin - good location.
Wonderful little cabin, great hosts!
We loved the cabin, loved the location, and the owners have been very helpful.
Wonderful family time
We were blessed with lovely snow and built a great sled run on the property which was hours of fun. The cabin was a cozy retreat.
Clean, cozy, very convenient location.
This is a modest place, but conveniently located close to Hwy 4 and a 2 minute walk from the grocery store and a few minutes more to a great outdoor shop (SNAC) with XC and downhill rentals. A short walk to the Arnold Rim Trail, 15 minutes to Big Trees and 30-45 minutes to Bear Valley XC and downhill. Good kitchen setup and equipment, great wood stove with lots of dry firewood, powerful furnace, comfortable beds. We were there in winter so didn’t hang out on the deck or yard, but it looked nice too. We’d stay there again, no question. Prompt refund on cleaning deposit and good communication from owner. Just don’t forget your bedding and towels.
