Great little family house

  • 5 of 5

The house was very cute and clean! It was perfect for our weekend getaway and just enough room for 2 couples and 2 kids. The house is in a great location, close to downtown Northport which seems to be growing every year. Would recommend to anyone with a small family coming to visit.

Expected better for $300 plus per night

  • 3 of 5

When entering for the first time and a couple times during the stay the unit had a musty aroma like a damp basement. Curtains at one window were unattached and draped over the curtain rod so I strung and hung them properly. The hot water in the kitchen would not turn off. Fruit flies and smaller flies (midges?) were constantly around the kitchen sink from check in for two days. Both bedrooms need some chest of drawers for clothing. We lived out of our suitcases on the floor (5 day & 4 night stay). My brother and sister-in-law used the other bedroom. Their concerns were the same as ours in this review. One chair in each bedroom was not enough. Most closet hangers were flimsy from dry cleaners and could not support a jacket (id tags on some). The toilet was so low and small making it tough for us with knee problems. We moved the couch closer to the TV and found stuff under the couch (we swept some of it up). Handle on refrigerator was dirty and needed cleaning (I tried to clean). For $300 plus a night plus a $125 fee (cleaning fee) for maintenance I expected more attention to the details when prepping for the next tenant. Otherwise it is home that looks good inside. Kitchen cabinets are of quality with great looking serving plates and utensils. Beds were comfortable. The shower/bathtub was great with plenty of flowing hot water.

Cute cottage, great location

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is clean, cute, and well appointed. The location is outstanding, as it is only a short walk to the marina, a park, several swimming areas, and the shops and restaurants in town. We will definitely stay here again!

Replace in the location or beautiful. At first little concerned of the neighborhood but end up being an excellent street and location to the water in town. Will definitely go again

Loved our stay here!!!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this house we stayed at in Northport!! We loved that it was so close to downtown (about a one to two block walk). It was very clean and had everything you could need. Lots of towels, toilet paper, pots and pans etc. We packed lots of things this house had that we didn't expect it would. We loved that! Our only slight downside is that there is no central air or air conditioning window unit. It's not bad during the day but one night the house was 80 degrees. They provide fans (which is so appreciated!) but they don't do much when a house gets that hot. My husband and I love to sleep in a cool house, but maybe to some it's not a big deal. We really did love our stay there and that's why we still rate 5 stars!!! We highly recommend!!! We hope to be able to go back someday! Also, Mary the owner of the house is super helpful and always willing to answer any questions. You can't go wrong staying at this house!

Nice home and close to everything.

  • 5 of 5

Very nice home and close to everything in Northport. Our only suggestion would be to add a bigger coffee pot.
