We built Camp Eagleview for family getaways. It is a mix of wonderfully peaceful yet offers endless activites. Our house has three floors with all windows facing the lake. The top floor has the master with king bed and ensuite the 2nd bedroom upstairs has a queen bed and ensuite. There is a shuffle board on the landing on the top floor. Then the middle floor is kitchen, dining, living, a half bath, a large screened in porch with dining table and covered verandah running along the length of the house, facing the lake. The lower floor has two more bedrooms, one with a queen and one with two singles and one full bathroom to share. There is a TV room and a laundry on the lower level as well. Outside we have flat lawn area which is great of lawn games, an outdoor fire pit for outdoor breakfasts or smores at night! The boathouse has a dock attached. Spend the days lying on the dock or sit and watch the incredible night sky including plenty of shooting stars! We also have a floating dock about 50' offshore.
We built our Adirondack home in 2002 and love using it at all times of the year but especially in summer. We kick off our shoes and breath in the fresh clean air and feel wonderfully relaxed. Many mornings start with a wakeup kayak, then possibly a hike on one of many local mountains or a game of golf. We love the sunsets and for some reason, even if the day is cloudy, the sun will appear just before it sets. We have had many wonderful days at our camp and hope you do too.
My husband had spent time in the Adirondacks in his 20's and after we married, we decided to rent a house to see how we both liked it. We loved it so much we started our search for a piece of land on which to build our dream home. We finally found it on Upper Saranac Lake!
Things that make our home special include:
Sitting on the verandah reading a book.
Listening to the Loons call across the lake at night.
Watch the stars from the dock at night.
Go for a swim right off the dock at any time of the day or night.
Throw a line off the dock.
Open the windows at night and feel the cool and incredibly fresh breeze.
Visit one of the many great restaurants in Lake Placid.
Visit the Museum of Natural History in Tupper Lake.
Hike and play golf.
The setting of our home allows you to sit back and relax and/or to hike, fish, bike or play golf on one of many nearby courses. SO many options are presented for adults and children.
