About Barb Askren

Barb Askren, Tami Blevins, Traci Bostion comprise Kingfish Properties LLC which owns this property. The original house was owned by our grandparents. The property was renovated back in the 1980s. Our parents used the house as a summer home. We became the owners in September 2011 and have been constantly trying to update the property. This year we tore down the barn, put in a big fire pit, added a second bathroom, washer/dryer, and all new queen beds. We have plans for other improvements. We hope you enjoy your stay and will come back again.

Why Barb Askren chose Lake Cumberland

We are less than 3 miles from Beavercreek Marina and 14 miles from Conley Bottom and 40 miles from Dale Hollow.

It's peaceful and quiet.

Great outdoor amenities

  • 4 of 5

If looking for budget friendly with all necessary amenities this home will work perfect for you. The outdoor amenities and price were the reasons we chose this cozy little country home. It is very nostalgic of the 60's/70's and will remind you of your grandparents' homes. Knowing this before you go will avoid any disappointment. We enjoyed this little place and it was perfect for our family to relax and unwind.

The property's location is great and priced well

  • 4 of 5

The property is definitely in need of some work with the electrical switchs and some softer spot in floor. But in all it was priced great and in a great location. I have no complaints, by that i mean i didnt expect a top notch place we just wanted something economic and that we could have a affordable vacation without breaking the bank. I would definitely use this place again. Thanks

The location of the house made the trip! But it really is in need of some work. The hall and back bedroom really need a new floor very slanted and soft spots. But mostly you need to invest in a new bed for that room!! I didn't mind cleaning before i left or bringing my own towels or sheets. But the bed needs replaced! It sucks when you wake up and your back is killing you. The outside was wonderful, driveway was a little tricky with a big truck and boat. Its best if you back in and go up the hill. I would stay here again like i said the location is everything and the price is right. But please get a new bed before next year when i plan my trip again! Thank you for letting us stay in your house.
