This bright, cheery cottage, built in 1940, has been well cared for through the years and it shows! It has all the original Art Deco hardware and great hardwood floors. The interior has been recently updated with new paint throughout and carpet in the basement. We recently opened up the kitchen to the dining room and added bar seating as well as new counter tops, back splash and lighting. Walk in the front door of this cozy cottage and you are in the living room with the dining and kitchen off to the left. Through a small hallway you will find the three bedrooms and a centrally located full bathroom. The living room has a seating area with new furniture and a 40” flat screen TV with 240 channels of cable as well as Netflix Instant Service. As for the bedrooms, the first bedroom has a queen bed with a new foam mattress. The second bedroom has a queen bed (brand new mattress) and also a crib in case you are traveling with children. We also provide a Pack N Play so a child could sleep in a different room if necessary. The third bedroom has a set of twin bunk beds. Downstairs you will find a spacious laundry room and a family room with a 40” flat screen TV (same cable and Netflix) as well and a pull-out (queen) sofa bed. This room has a small 3/4 bathroom attached to it as well. We have cabinets full of toys for the kids, books and DVDs for kids of all ages. We provide a high chair, kids' table, kids' utensils/cups and even a circus tent! The house has central air conditioning - no swamp cooler! Walk out back into the fully landscaped and very shady, private and fully fenced back yard. Grill out back with your group on our gas grill and enjoy a fire in the fire pit. If you'd like to walk to dinner or out for a drink it takes about 15 minutes (11 blocks) to be at 5th and Main. If you are in town for an event at CMU or Stocker Stadium, leave the car behind! You can walk eight blocks north and be on campus or a walk of three blocks will take you to Lincoln Park which has a great playground and outdoor public pool/slide (and golf course!). Whether you are in town to recreate, visit family or tour the local wineries, this cute little cottage in a central location will not disappoint.

Steve and I have lived in downtown Grand Junction for the last eight years. I have a degree in interior design but have stepped back from my professional career to raise our four kids. Setting up vacation rentals provides me with a creative outlet for all my design energy! Steve is handy and enjoys doing house projects on his weekends so together we make a great team. We got into the vacation rental business last year and have had so much fun managing our other property (#489211) that we decided to do another one. We love all that downtown has to offer and the energy of being in the middle of Grand Junction. We are both natives of Western Colorado and enjoy being able to share our knowledge of the area with our guests. Because we have small children we know the frustrations of traveling with kids and babies. We hope to provide you with a home away from home with all the comforts your kids want and need in order to make it a trip they will never forget!
Amy Lentz purchased this cottage in 2014
We loved this home from the moment we walked in. It is well built, has a great floor plan and is so close to Lincoln Park. With a very private shady backyard, fire pit and loads of character - we could not pass it up!
Our home is completely outfitted with everything you will need whether you are a family with small children, a group of mountain bikers or wine country tourists - or anything in between! We have worked hard to think of everything you will need for your vacation. We love to travel ourselves and pay attention to the details that make each trip enjoyable. We know you will love this little house as much as we do!
The owner has decorated the house so nicely! There was even a Christmas tree to greet us on arrival. It is a perfect rental for families. There is a great toy and game selection and besides 3 bedrooms, the couch downstairs opens up for more sleeping room. This was our second visit and we plan to rent this home again if we need accomodations in Grand Junction.
We had an incredible experience. Everything from booking, arrival, the stay, and departure was easy and straightforward. The home is beautiful and cozy. We had plenty of room and it is very kiddo friendly. Thank you Amy!
Fun,relaxing and cheerful decor. Has everything we need! Many thanks!
This was our second visit to this house with a group of 8 women for a weekend away. We love the location and everything in the home is clean and comfortable. The firepit in the backyard was a highlight, as the weather was unseasonably warm and the moon full. Another weekend to remember ... thanks, Amy.
You have made your little place feel like a home instead of a rental. Besides the obvious decorating talent, you have thought of everything. The beds were comfortable, plenty of towels, and a kitchen stocked with an array of dishes, glasses, pots, pans, baking dishes, and utensils that one doesn't have to worry if they will be able to make a meal for more than one person. And while Grand Junction isn't big and doesn't take long to get from one end to the other, the place is centrally located and we easily navigated to all of our destinations. This is an annual event for my sisters, nieces and I and hope your place will be available again next year when we come back.
We were in town for a family gathering with local family. The kitchen was well supplied, with just a few groceries we were ready to feed a crowd. The beds were comfortable and the set up for children was ideal. We had babies, toddler & elementary kids. We were out and about most of the time and it was quick to get around. The place was much cleaner than many hotel rooms I've stayed in.
Our property is eight blocks from the Colorado Mesa University campus and three block south of Lincoln Park. We are also just minutes from the Colorado National Monument and popular mountain biking trails such as Tabeguache Trail (Lunch Loop). Palisade Wine Country is 20 minutes away and Powderhorn Mountain Resort is a 45 minute drive up the Grand Mesa.
