As part of our 50th anniversary celebration we wanted a week away at a lake cottage since this is what we did when our children were growing up. Muskie lake and this fine summer home fit our needs perfectly. The best room by far was the screened in porch overlooking the lake. Great view, steady breeze, plenty of seating and a good place to relax, visit, or read. The large kitchen and screened in grill room made preparing meals easy and a good spot to socialize while doing so. Large dining room made for nice family dinners. The lake is good size with two islands and was fun to explore. We used one small fishing boat, two canoes, and 4 kayaks. The living room had very comfortable seating and a nice size coffee table which was a perfect place to work on a large puzzle. While television was available in a separate den we elected not to use it and instead enjoyed the music system which was piped into the different rooms throughout the home. We ended many of the days with a camp fire. Our host Frank was a very friendly man and a pleasure to do business with.
Our family rented this fabulous home on the lake to celebrate my parents 50 years of marriage. It was extremely comfortable. The layout is wonderful and open and the kitchen is fully stocked. We enjoyed many evenings on the screened in porch with a fantastic view of the lake. It was wonderful to sit down together as a family at the large dining table. We fished, kayaked, canoed and enjoyed late nights around the campfire. The grill is also fantastic. We have many more family memories and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Clean, comfortable, private with amazing scenery.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lovely home and view were a great asset to the celebration. We had family come from TN, CO, and NY. There was plenty of room and lots of opportunities for memories to be made. The amenities were many and a welcome gift. The fishing and boating were enjoyed by all. Frank was very easy to work with and made our planning and eventual trip a huge success. We loved every minute. Thank you for making my mom's birthday event such a wonderful experience with lasting memories.
We celebrated my grandma's 88th brithday here and had a wonderful time. Had family in from CO, TX, VA, MD and NY. The house is beautiful and well equipped with everything we needed for our large group. The owner Frank was awesome and super accomodating while we were there. He rented us his boat for the week and lent us the use of a Kayak for use on the lake. The lake is beautiful and we spent every day boating, swimming and just taking it all in. It was nice to be "disconnected" from the world there.....no wifi and cell service was a hit or miss. The kids were amazed they could survive without social media for a week :). The drive to Alexandria Bay/1000 Islands was only 20 minutes which is a great place to visit (2 nation boat tour, castle tour, pirate days, shopping, etc). The Venditti winery was awesome as well and is right down the road from the house. In the evenings the firepit was a great hit with the family. We had a wonderful week making memories here.
Beautiful house that is very roomy, well furnished and decorated. Excellent view of the lake. Nice space outside for kids to run around or have a bonfire. Lake is very calm, quiet and peacefull. Location is close to the winery which was fun to visit as well as other nice towns near the 1000 Islands. They owner was very accomodating and helpful.
