Loved it

  • 4 of 5

The cottage was clean and perfectly located in a quiet area. The air conditioning kept us cool in the July heat and it was so nice to walk just a few minutes to have private access to Siesta Key Beach. We arrived on a Sunday prior to the 4th of July so we were glad to run into someone who could give us the code for the gate. I think this is the best way to vacation - to have a kitchen and living room to relax as well as be close enough to downtown to grab some dinner if we wanted to eat out. I would highly recommend this place to others but kind of want to keep it to myself so it's available when we come back!

Super Stay in Siesta Key

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I just returned from a wonderful 8-day stay at the Pin Oaks cottage. It was everything we expected and more. The description of the property was perfect. The location is ideal. A very short walk to the pool and inter-coastal, which is a great place to have a cup of coffee and watch the sun rise. It is a 5-minute walk to the beach, which has to be one of the most beautiful in the country. The cottage is very clean and perfect for a couple. once at the cottage you really do not need a car if your plans are to stay on Siesta Key. The free "tip only" shuttles make getting around very easy. It is a short walk (about 1.5 miles into town). There was nothing better than a walk into town along the beach during sun set. There are great restaurants in town and everything you need is a short walk away. Working with Ellen and Rae was very easy. I would highly recommend this property. If we are lucky enough we will try to get back there next year.

Great cottage at a great price!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here for a 9 day beach getaway . We really enjoyed our stay at Pin Oaks. The Cottage was clean and tidy and had everything we needed to relax and unwind. The private beach access was nice and the pool was fantastic! There's only two things i would change and that is the bed was very firm- it was difficult to get a good nights rest ,and maybe add more curtains in the dining room/kitchen area for more privacy. Ellen was great to work with too.Overall we had a great experience and hope to be back again in the future.

Cozy cottage

  • 5 of 5

My sister and I spent a most relaxing week in this cottage in Siesta Key and loved it! Pin Oak certainly proves that 'less is more'! Everything we needed could be found in this cute cottage and we thought the site set on the bay was unique to Siesta Key-the location was quite convenient to the public beach, too! Thank you Ellen for providing the wonderful beach chairs-we used them everyday! We shall return (soon I hope!)

Owner's Response: So glad you enjoyed the chairs and can't wait to have you back. Can't believe how 'Old Florida living' is becoming scarce.

Great cottage, great location, great price!

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I stayed at Pin Oaks Cottage for five days while visiting Sarasota for his mother's 90th birthday. The cottage is very clean, tastefully decorated, and well equipped. The pictures on VRBO are accurate. The cottage is small, but cute and has everything you need for vacation. The bed is quite firm but became more comfortable as we became accustomed to it. Siesta Key Beach is only a short walk across the street through the right of way and accessed by a gated key fob. The pool on the property was heated and very clean. The next time we visit, we will take advantage of the free shuttles on the key instead of driving. There are many good restaurants and activities in the area. We spent time on the beach, went on a sunset cruise with Siesta Key Watersports, swam in the pool, watched sunrise on the dock, ate great food, drank rum slush at the Siesta Key Beach pavilion from a pail, listened to the drum circle and witnessed the Blood Moon eclipse in addition to celebrating a birthday!! We will definitely stay here again and look forward to our next visit!
