Excellent stay; well located in Sonoma county

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed at the Wellington house along with two other couples and were very pleased. The house is in the middle of a vineyard so it's quiet and peaceful. The view from the kitchen and living room is right across the vineyard to the mountains in the background. We enjoyed waking up in the fog and slowly watching the fog burn off to reveal the mountains.

The layout of the house including the bedrooms and bathrooms worked well for our group. We enjoyed the open kitchen and how it connected to the living room and that's where we spent most of our time. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies both for preparing food and spices/condiments. We utilized the Weber gas grill outside for two out of our three nights and plan to use that same method again.

The house is well located right outside Glen Ellen which put us in relatively close proximity both to Napa and Sonoma wineries. We didn't need to go into the town of Glen Ellen for anything since we stocked up at a grocery store on the way, but we would be intrigued to try the Glen Ellen Village Market the next time around.

Overall, we had a great stay and look forward to staying there again in the future.

Peaceful Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My group of 6 people arrived and were immediately impressed by the serenity and beautiful surroundings of Wellington. The bedrooms are well appointed, private, and comfortable. We loved the large, open, living areas where we could all hang out and enjoy each other’s company . Access to the central courtyard from the home was excellent. All fixtures and accommodations exceeded our expectations. We were able to cook large meals with all the wonderful kitchen amenities. The hot tub was wonderful. Even though the pool is unheated in the winter, some of our more adventurous guests dove in with immediate retreat to the hot tub! Erika is an excellent host and really went above and beyond during the entire booking process and stay. We look forward to staying in this wonderful home again in the future. :)

Perfect Respite for a Weary Family!!

  • 5 of 5

Erika's Wellington Vineyard Estate was the perfect place for some fire-weary victims to rest, be with family and laugh again. Our gratitude to Erika is boundless and we will be back! We gathered here for an early Christmas celebration with our Santa Rosa and Napa sons and their families, after losing four homes in the recent Sonoma County fires. Our family loved the serenity that this home and its surrounds provides and they thoroughly enjoyed the homemade meals cooked in the very well-appointed kitchen, including a full-size refrigerator/freezer, a Keurig coffee maker, a regular coffee maker, Jena-Air range, lovely china, flatware and glassware and all the pots and pans you need. The children delighted in the many things they could do and immediately dove into the games, the pool table, the ping-pong table and even rode bikes. Everyone loved having their own cozy beds, televisions, individual bathrooms and above all, we appreciated all the little touches that makes this house a home. We opened gifts in front of the fire, laughing and recalling memories of the past. For our family, absent the homes we lost, this experience took all of us away to a happy place with lasting wonderful memories. The morning sunrise over the autumn vineyard, roosters crowing, persimmons on the tree and a bit of chill in the air made us breathe and remember all the good things that remain. We wished we had more time to enjoy all this home has to offer, including its pool, spa, outdoor fire pit and lovely porch with rocking chairs. This home has it all - no detail has been forgotten. If you are looking for a true respite from the storm, don't hesitate ... this is your place!

Great Family holiday location

  • 5 of 5

We had our entire family stay here over Thanksgiving. Everyone loved the house and location. The house has a secluded feel and the views of the vineyard are beautiful. Getting to Glen Ellen is just a few minutes away. We loved the big room where Kitchen, Dining, and family room / pool table all flowed very nicely. The beds were so comfortable and it was nice that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The kitchen was outfitted with everything you need. We didn't have any issues at all but Erika was very responsive to all our inquiries and questions. It was a nice touch to have a bottle of wine for us from the local vineyard plus some wine tastings as well. Lots of games for the children to play. There is lots of outdoor space for relaxing around outdoor deck, fire pit, playing ping pong, and hot tub.

Everyone had a great time. Highly recommended place to stay in Sonoma area.

Great Home in Beautiful Sonoma Valley

  • 5 of 5

I planned a small family reunion at the Wellington Estate house for the first week of November. As it turned out, this happened to be VERY soon after the horrific fires in Sonoma and Napa Valleys. Although fire struck nearby, this beautiful home and vineyards were unscathed. We enjoyed wine tasting during the days while enjoying the home in the evenings. I rent very often on VRBO and have never experienced a home as well stocked with food preparation / cooking ware. Every utensil and glassware imaginable. The home is set up nicely for activities (pool table, ping pong, bikes, etc) and views of mountains so beautiful. Erika was a gracious and pleasant hostess. A nit-noid issue was connectivity; it was a challenge for those of us with AT&T (Verizon was fine). We plan to return to this home.

The most amazing 50th Birthday Celebration

  • 5 of 5

This is the most amazing place to stay. It is literally heaven on earth. Not only is the house immaculate in every way but the view is out of this world. From every side of the house, it has a gorgeous view. The beds and linens are also amazing and waking up to coffee on the porch overlooking the vineyards couldn't have been better. I have to mention how amazing the kitchen is too. It has absolutely everything you would ever need to cook. Although we didn't cook much, we all kinda wished we had. Erika is an incredibly responsive host. There was honestly not much we needed while we were there because everything was so perfect but when we did have a question, she was quick to respond. She also recommended a driver by the name of Ryan that was absolutely amazing. Not only is he polite and professional but he knows the area so well and recommended a vineyard called Patland that was unbelievable! The other big perk is having Wellington Tasting Room right out your back door. This was really amazing wine and with the nicest people you will ever meet. They are also associated with VBJ that was in the town of Kenwood (right up the road) which had equally good wine and amazing food! You have to try it if you go! This couldn't have been a better place for me and my girlfriends to spend our 50th. We are looking forward to returning sometime soon with our husbands as there is PLENTY of room for all of us!
