Main feature is large deck overlooking quiet inlet.

  • 4 of 5

Location is private enough and still close to Wickford for a Nantucket feel and nice restaurants. Also short ride to Newport for the busier tourist things. We took a nice evening sail at reasonable cost. The cottage is small but adequate. Only a curtain separates the second bedroom from the living/dining area. We brought our own wine glasses because we have that evening ritual and most cottages may fear they break easily. I was able to launch my canoe from the property. We had perfect August weather.

Comfortable with a great open floor plan and a great water view and water access

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable cottage. It had all the furnishings and fixings needed to make our stay comfortable. The back deck was perfect for our morning cup of coffee and family gathering time. The water view was awesome and the private beach was an added bonus! The location is ideal for all the great attractions R.I. has to offer. We will definitely rent this cottage again.

Loved our cozy cottage stay

  • 5 of 5

My family and I took our first trip to Rhode Island and we loved it! The beach cottage was a great spot for us- nice accommodations, great location, and beautiful views. Having never been to RI we explored around the entire state. The location of the beach house allowed us to be within about 20 minutes of everything. One of our favorite spots was actually just 5 minutes down the street- Wickford Village. Very quaint, quiet, and friendly neighborhood with delicious restaurants right on the harbor. The views off the balcony of the harbor were simply amazing. It was so nice to wake up every morning and see the bay nook, birds, and tide coming in and out. We also brought our 2 small dogs with us and enjoyed walking them around the quiet neighborhood everyday; the neighbors were all so friendly and welcoming as well. We all greatly appreciated the kindness and promptness of the owners messages and ease of booking. We will be back!

Relaxing, great view!

  • 4 of 5

The best part about the property is its location. The view from the deck was fabulous! It was very relaxing to sit outside, sipping a cold beverage, watching the birds or the other neighbors enjoying the water. The house is small and rustic but we knew that going in. Meal prep was challenging due to lack of counter space and could have used a couple of frying pans. The bathroom was mostly renovated and everything was in working order. Bed and pillows were comfortable. We love that our dog could come with us. We would definitely return.

Owner's Response: We are so glad you enjoyed our cottage! Yes, we love the view off the back deck, and that is where we spend most of our time. Sorry that you found meal prep challenging. We usually use the dining table for some food prep (peeling and cutting vegetables etc.), to alleviate the crowding in the kitchen. There was an electric fry pan, and a couple of stove top fry pans the last time we did inventory. We will get those replaced immediately, if they are missing, and not just in the back of the deep cabinets! We would be glad to have you back again! Gil and Sandie

Cottage by the Bay

  • 5 of 5

The cottage fit our needs nicely. Two separate sleeping areas can accommodate two adults and two kids. We're not "high" kind of renters, so the basic conditions of the place worked for us. The cottage was centrally located for us - 20 minutes to Narragansett, 5 minutes to Wickford, groceries and sundry needs close.

The back deck rocks for grilling and eating, with nice view of a quiet, salt water cove. The private beach worked for a short dip and major beaches were easy to get to.
