About the property

This beautiful setting in the pines is located at the entrance to the lovely village of Corea, just a short walk to the Harbor. What started out to be a rustic bunkhouse for the grandchildren grew into this beautiful two bedroom, one bath vacation cottage. It includes kitchen / living room, laundry, two decks, Direct TV, DVD, WiFi and phone. It has all new floors and knotty pine walls and ceilings. In fact, the only thing that is not new is the 1930s log facade on the front. The fully equipped kitchen is loaded with everything you will need for an enjoyable vacation on the coast. The large front deck has a grill, lobster cooker and deck furniture. The rear deck provides a more secluded setting. Both decks can be gated for a secure play area for your little ones. The master bedroom has a queen size bed. The 2nd bedroom has a bunk bed with twin on top and full on bottom. The laundry room has a washer and dryer. Books, puzzles, games and a DVD library are also included. A Pack&Play crib with bedding and a portable high chair are also available.

Cozy cabin

  • 5 of 5

It was the perfect location. The small village of Corea is quaint and quiet. We were able to walk to the harbor to view low/high tides and eat delicious ice cream at the restaurant on the wharf. We also visited both locations of Acadia National Park. The cabin was pretty; nicely decorated and stocked with every possible item you might need. Jim and Barb thought of everything! For example, there were buckets for collecting shells and rocks, coffee, shampoo, soap and bug spray. The kitchen was also fully stocked. We sat on the back deck and did some bird watching thanks to the strategically placed bird feeders. It was clean and cozy and provided enough room for a family of four. We were able to cook meals and eat them out on the deck! We had a lovely vacation!

Ideal Retreat

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking to be away from the hustle and bustle of Mt Desert, this cabin is an excellent choice. The cabin is very private and peaceful. It is well equipped, clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed eating our meals out on the deck and walking into nearby Corea. The washer/dryer and WiFi are a plus. Acadia's Schoodic peninsula is nearby. Jim and Barbara are close by and very helpful with suggestions. We hope to return next summer.

Exactly as it's described - little cabin in the woods.

  • 5 of 5

The little cabin was in a nice quiet area overlooking the woods. It had a back porch where we enjoyed our morning coffee and watched the birds coming to the feeders and the chipmunks on the ground. What a wonderful greeting having fresh flowers and a present in the refrigerator. The binder of things to do was greatly appreciated as we found the hidden gems of Corea and had fun exploring the town. Unfortunately, it was foggy and rainy for the majority of our time but we ventured to neighboring towns and to Bar Harbor area, ate at some great restaurants, and bought a few gifts. Our hosts left DVDs for us to watch and books to read. This area's scenery is spectacular. We came away with some wonderful memories of our time in Maine. Thanks for allowing us to visit your cabin!

Wonderful cabin in a lovely Maine seacoast village

  • 5 of 5

The vacation was relaxing and enjoyable due to the cabin's serene location and the cabin's extensive amenities. The cabin was extremely clean and comfortable. There was essentially nothing that my wife and I needed in addition to what the owners supplied. We rode bikes around the area and kayaked in nearby Jones Pond although sea kayaking is close by. Fresh lobsters are easily purchased at the Lobster Co-Op or at the nearby restaurant. Both are within walking distance. We definitely plan to return.

Cute cabin with relaxing location!

  • 5 of 5

This was such a great little cabin. Perfect size for myself and my husband; there was another bedroom with bunk beds that we didn't use so I could see how this would be nice for a small family as well. Loved the location--very quiet and within walking distance to the harbor and some hidden beaches. It's about an hour away from Bar Harbor so if you're looking for a lot of entertainment and shopping, keep that in mind, but we loved that it was so isolated and quiet!

The cabin has all been updated and we loved the style and layout. It was great to have a washer and dryer as well. We didn't use the kitchen much but it would definitely work for cooking some meals if you don't feel like going out to eat.

This place is a hidden gem! We already want to go back.
