Casa Sonrisa is a Smiley house. We also have another house on Brewery Gulch next to the City Park 2 bedroom 1 and half bath for rent if this is booked. 10 minute walk to town. It was built in 1916 and just remodeled from the ground up 05/2014. it is a 2 bedroom 1 bath. The living area is open up into the kitchen. The bedrooms are on other side of house with bath in between them. The bath is with a clawfoot tub shower combo. Tin ceiling and large picture window to see all the birds and beauty of the Bisbee region. There is a garage for guest and plenty parking which is very hard to find in Bisbee. There is a walk up a hill to the house of about 100 feet. The house sits on 3/4 of an acre. Walk out the french doors of the living room and enjoy more views and cool mornings and evenings. There is a gas fireplace in the living room but also has a new heating and ac unit. We have the kitchen stocked with plenty plates, silverware, condiments. Has a dishwasher and garbage disposal. There is a 42 inch LCD TV with Dish network with over 250 channels. Wireless with chromecast for Netflix. NO dogs allowed
I purchased this property to get out of Tucson in the summers for some cool mornings and nights. Also, the restaurants and galleries are some of the best I have eaten at in all of Arizona.
Large Deck and mature vegetation to enjoy while sipping your cocktail. Wireless and chromecast with strong signals
We spent a very enjoyable time here. The house is well-equipped and easy to use, the deck is fabulous, and the place has many fascinating and quirky art/craft touches. It is very quiet at night. Kristi, the owner, was great to work with, and provided us some extra information re making our time in Bisbee special. We hiked one day in Chiracahua National Monument, and spent a day window shopping and hanging out in the street cafes of Bisbee. An excellent chile relleno can be found at Neariah's, about 2 miles out of Lowell on the highway. The town is similar in character to Winthrop WA, but with a southwest setting. We plan to return and bring our friends next year.
We spent the weekend and loved it. Easy access off the freeway and easy to find. Perfect Bisbee weather allowed us to enjoy time on the patio and the spectacular views. The kitchen was nicely stocked so, on the nights we didn't enjoy the local fare, we cooked a delicious meal. I look forward to staying here again and highly recommend it.
Warm and inviting retreat with an awesome patio and views. Relaxing environment perfect for a quick getaway or long stay.
Another wonderful weekend in Bisbee! This is a perfect place to be near all the fun and yet away from it all! With beautiful views and a peaceful front porch you will be hard pressed to want to wander into town. Once in town you won't want to leave. Sunday afternoon at the Stock Exchange is a great way to spend time sipping a local brew while listening to local jazz then wander to Roka for a sip at the bar and a few small bites. Pick up some local wine at Flying Leap and then grab the rest of what you need at the market for a great meal at the home front and watch the sunset for the perfect weekend get away!
We’ve rented many properties in Bisbee. None have been this crudely finished. I assumed “just remodeled from the ground up” meant we were going to find it completely renovated. But by simply painting over the badly lacerated hundred-year-old floor boards, not repairing badly damaged doors, and with poor fit and finish everywhere, it is substandard for a Bisbee rental. It is cutely decorated with many nice features, which made living conditions tolerable. There are a few other inaccuracies in the description, and not being forthright in describing “the walk up to the house” could have bad consequences. The walkway steps with varying rises (not to code) are dangerous, especially when descending and carrying a heavy item with both hands. Those physically limited should be aware the front doorsill has an elevation of 25’ above the parking area. 25’ is equivalent to climbing 3 stories of steps in a house with 8 foot ceilings. The climb is over a distance of 100’. The first half is up a narrow moderately sloping graveled path. The remaining distance is up a sloping surfaced walkway with exactly 20 steps to the doorsill, some very steep with the incline. Also be aware there are no above-counter cabinets in the kitchen. You have to kneel to reach dishes and glassware stored near floor level in an under-counter cabinet. And, there is no separate shower as can be interpreted. There is only a curtained clawfoot tub with a shower head and no handholds. Inadequate storage space was a big problem. It was very inconvenient living out of cardboard boxes and suitcases on the floor for a month. The only reachable cabinetry not being used by the owner were a small chest of drawers in the master BR and a few nightstands. This property best suits physically fit short-term renters who don’t mind roughing it a little.
This vacation rental was nicely furnished and very comfortable & clean ! ....The owner Kristi is very nice and accommodating ! ....We loved the historical mining town of Bisbee and would recommend others to visit ! ...The only negative issue of the rental is the steep climb and steps leading to the cabin and might be an issue for those aged 65 plus , especially folks with any health issues !
