Our family has lived in this area for many years. We realized how beautiful the Arcadia Valley and surrounding areas are. We wanted a place for others to come and enjoy this beauty. This property offers seclusion with opportunities to kick back and relax.
There are two cabins on this property. This property is secluded, yet close to town and many state parks. The views are amazing from the front porch no matter what season you might stay. This would be the perfect place for you to kick back and get some much needed relaxation!
The cabin was roomy and comfortable and the setting was peaceful and fairly secluded with plenty of outdoor space to entertain the inquisitive kids. The fire pit was great for an evening of smores and flaming marshmallows while the creek and pond offered soothing sounds of moving water to help relax. The location is wonderful as it is near so many beautiful parks and yet, still close to town where you have access to all of your needs.
We had four kids between 8 and 15 and they all had a great time at this cozy cabin. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
My husband and I took our 3 college age kids with us. The area has great places to hike. We loved Mina Sauk falls, Elephant Rock State Park and Johnson's Shut-Ins. The cabin was a great place for a family getaway. We enjoyed playing cards, watching movies and camp fire in the evening. The satellite TV service was out for 2 days due to storms, but the owners did their best to restore service. This was a minor inconvenience because we were hoping to minimize our TV viewing that week anyway. All of us loved the cabin and would highly recommend to family and friends. My kids called the area a diamond in the rough!
The cabin is very clean. It has wonderful little design touches that make the cabin feel very special. The directions were a little complicated, but a call to the owner cleared it right up. Would love to stay again!!
I stayed at this cabin with my family and overall we enjoyed the visit. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of towels to go around. We found the kitchen adequate and contrary to other reviewers they do have salt and pepper, but not where you would normally look. The kitchen is light on gear but is fine for basic cooking. My advice however, is this may not be the best place to stay in very cold weather. We had trouble getting the cabin warm enough, but then again the temperature was below 20F. There is NOT Wifi so it we had to head to the McDonald's to get signal to use our phone based GPS so take note. Beds and furniture are comfortable and good quality. Note to the owner: The dish drain is moldy so please consider replacing with a metal one.
We spent thanksgiving week at the cabin with our close friends. It was a perfect little get away. The cabin was well equipped with all the utensils we needed to cook our thanksgiving meal. We enjoyed fires in the outdoor fire pit and had a great time enjoying the quiet and nature. We took day trips to elephant rocks, St. Louis, Taum Sauk mountain, wineries near St. Genieve and to Illinois. The bedrooms were large and comfy. The cabin is very charming. Overall it was a great trip!
Very nice cabin amongst the woods. We enjoyed our stay very much. We'll be renting again for sure. Thank you!
