Description

Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday home in Mystic - Lovely Mystic Retreat

Comfortable, newer 3 bed/2 bath, steps from river and village, yet peaceful

This is a newer home built with a style that fits perfectly in its historic district neighborhood. Comfortable, yet not stuffy, it is very easy to kick back and relax here. You'll love the open front porch for catching sea breezes and relaxing in the afternoon and evening, and the screened rear porch makes a cozy, inviting spot for morning coffee and other meals. The home affords decent privacy on a quiet and beautiful residential street - and in an amazing location - that is, if you like pleasant waterfront walks to and from an active and charming New England maritime village!

Downstairs has an open plan featuring the granite/stainless kitchen, breakfast bar, dining and living areas. On the first floor there is also a full bath and a queen bedroom (rear house entrance only requires three steps from grade to first floor). Upstairs are another queen bedroom, a bedroom with two twin beds and another full bathroom with laundry area.

This home is great for boaters who want to do a little land-lubbing; people with luck good enough for the area's big casinos; families enjoying the local museums, aquarium, etc.; couples, friends and others traveling from the nearby cities of Boston, New York and beyond to savor the local charm; and for couples and families in Mystic for a wedding in the area's beautiful setting. We are open to academic rentals, as well, and will give a lower monthly rate for the longer term.

Stay with us and find your own reasons to love the home, the village of Mystic and all of Southeast Connecticut.

We look forward to hosting your stay!

About John Brice

This is our summer home and we are opening it up to rental Guests for the first time in fall 2014. We love it, so if you are not staying there, we will be!

Why John Brice chose Connecticut Shore

We chose this property because of all the cultural and recreational amenities of southeast Connecticut, and Mystic in particular, as well as the broader region. We also do some boating in Mystic each summer.

What makes this house unique

Location, location, location! Quiet and peaceful, yet with an easy, beautiful walk to the heart of the village of Mystic.

Very cute little house near Mystic

  • 4 of 5

We were there for a wedding and so didn't get to spend as much time as we would have liked around the house. Loved having coffee on the porch.

This home is located in a great location.

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay and recommend this property to anyone interested in visiting the Mystic area. It was nice to be able to walk to shopping and restaurants. It was a short walk to the river where we could see Mystic Seaport and on the way we especially liked seeing many historic homes. The house itself had everything we needed to make our girl's weekend a wonderful experience.

Lovely home! Fantastic Location!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this home for a four days with our son, daughter-in-law and their child. The layout of the house is wonderful! The kitchen is very well equipped, the furniture is comfortable, and everything was clean and well maintained. Nice art work and house decor adds to the charm! The front and back porch provided lovely extra places to relax and visit. The location is ideal as it is a short walk to water views and into town, and a short drive to many attractions. We had some hot and humid days, and the central air was welcome! The owners provided a handbook with recommendations of places to eat and things to do...and they communicated promptly. Sometimes you get what you pay for, and in this case, it was worth it. We will definitely consider a return visit!

Owner's Response: We are glad your trip and stay lived up to expectations! We rent owner-operated properties ourselves when traveling, whenever possible. We agree that the value is there when you consider the extra space, amenities and solitude you just don't find at hotels. Thank you and do come back!

Great stay in Mystic Property 590866

  • 5 of 5

This house worked very well for our party (4 adults, 2 young children). It was very clean and had all the necessities including some interesting toys and books for the kids. Excellent location which was an easy walk to "town." The aquarium was a highlight for adults and kids.

It was easy to communicate with the owner who was responsive to email questions.

We would recommend this our friends and relatives.
