The home is located less than 900 ft from the beach with deeded access.

Less than 5 minute WALK to the beach. Spacious (over 1800 SQ/FT), fully furnished 3 bedroom 3 bath half duplex on a quiet street. Property has deeded beach access and is convenient to restaurants, grocery stores, marinas and all beach activities. The local Trolley passes by often.

Sleeps up to 8: 1 king, 1 queen, 2 full. All bedrooms and living room have flat screen TV's and Blu-ray players. FREE cable and WiFi included. All linens, bathroom towels, and kitchenware provided. Full kitchen. Washer & Dryer in unit.

There are many extras provided, including Weber grill, 4 adult and 2 children's bicycles, 1 adult tricycle, 6 beach towels, 4 beach chairs, and a beach wagon with cooler.

Unit has one carport space plus ample driveway parking for four more cars.

There is a community pool with water slides less than a mile away.

Please note: This rental is for Families only. NO college partying students. We have a 30 year old min age requirement for the booking person who also must be present at check in and during the entire stay. If we find that you arranged the rental under false pretenses, you will not be allowed to check in.

We had a wonderful vacation here. Loved Anchorage Palms and the neighborhood. The owners and property manager were also great and very accommodating. The beach was very close and loved having the bikes available for transportation. We would definitely love to come back again. Thank you!

A Great Stay

We stayed for a week and very much enjoyed the home. It is very spacious and well taken care of. We had two teenagers and two younger children with us and the house was perfect.

Each bedroom has its own full bathroom which is great and there is also a TV in each bedroom. The master is upstairs away from the kids.

The walk to the beach is short and easy and it is not crowded like it is near the pier.

We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fun beach stay.

Nice, clean and close to the beach.

The pictures on here really don't do this place justice. It looks even nicer in person. We had a 21 hour drive and arrived late and had no issues with check in. Called ahead and spoke with the proproty manager and he gave us the access and then later on I got a message from the owners making sure we had no issues with getting the access code and check in. The only reason I am not giving 5 star is I wish we had a little more information about the AC prior to arriving. When booking it says the AC is for you to regulate but when you arrive you have to keep it above 73. Which is probably fine for most and if we had known this it would of been better. The room my husband and I had was upstairs and we were pretty hot all week up there. So if that's going to be an issue for you like it was us keep that in mind when booking. We made do with getting some extra fans, just wish we had known upfront. It's very close to the beach, not a hard walk at all. Our 2 year old managed it just fine as did I being 8 months pregnant. We loved the bikes, it kept the kids and men entertained. We did most of our cooking outside on the grill and the covered porch area got just enough of a cool breeze we ate out there most evenings, it was honestly cooler out there than inside most evenings but there was also nightly showers that helped with cooling everything down. Overall it was a great experience, the property manager and owners were both wonderful to deal with and I would for sure stay here again if we was to come back to Fort Myers area.

Owner's Response: When a central air conditioning unit runs, warm air from the house is blown across the cold surface of the evaporator coil, cooling that air. During this process, ice slowly builds up on the evaporator coil. This ice build-up is not a problem when the thermostat is set to a reasonable temperature, because the unit cycles off each time the room air temperature reaches the temperature that the thermostat is set to, and remains off until the temperature rises above that set point. The accumulated ice has time to melt during these off cycles. It does, however, become a problem when the thermostat is set to a temperature so low that it cannot be reached. In that case the unit runs continuously, with no off cycles allowing the ice to melt, so the ice continues to build-up until it starts to impede the flow of air through the coil. From that point on, the situation deteriorates more quickly; the build-up of ice accelerates as less and less warm air gets blown across the coil, until the airflow becomes completely obstructed and the unit ceases cooling. Then, the unit has to be shut down for several hours to allow the massive accumulation of ice to melt before it can cool again. When you arrived on Saturday night, someone in your group set the thermostat to 62°. By mid-afternoon on Sunday the thermostat was still set at 62°, but the air temperature in the house, which had fallen to 67° around mid-morning, had risen to 68°. At that point we knew that it would be better to send our property manager to ask you to turn up the thermostat, rather than wait for you to call saying that you had no A/C after the unit had iced-up entirely. LIKE THE HOUSE, HORRIBLE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT AND OWNER COMMUNICATION

I have never written a bad review and have used this app to stay in several properties without issues! We loved the home, it was perfect location and was spacious for my group! I had originally worked out details for our stay with a previous house manager, we had a few people over max but it was approved by the homeowners (I was told). Day 1 of the stay we had 3 bike chains break when the kids took the bikes to get ice, I messaged Dennis and he said it would be fixed. The next day while we were at the beach he came to the house, no adults were home but my 12 year old son and his cousin were there. My son answered and said parents weren’t home and Dennis began asking questions to him about our group instead of waiting for adults to talk to him. When we returned i immediately started getting accused by him of being dishonest about our party number, said the owners have tried to contact me for days which was a lie, and he spoke to me so rudely until a MAN came and stood by me and his tone changed. He said “a party this big is how the gets damaged”, and I knew we were going to have issues after that. When we got home I asked when we would receive our deposit back, I got a return message from the owners saying that we had MULTIPLE damages in the house including 2 urine stain mattresses (which were already stained before the adults slept on them), bike repairs for riding on the beach (which we hadn’t but there is sand everywhere on the island because of construction), a broken shower head (which a child did break and I told them we would pay for that repair), and excessive cleaning from sand (which we had swept before we left and hoses off before we ever went in the home. It’s been 3 weeks and we the owners have stopped communicating and have not told Me the amount and extent of the “damages” that Dennis states we have caused. So we haven’t receiced any of the Large deposit we had to put down. I have never been treated this way, we all knew after our encounter with Dennis that there would be issues and we were right! I wish the owners would have communicated afterward better so I didn’t have to leave a negative review, we treated this home like our own and only were in there to shower and to sleep, we were at the beach and uptown all day. I would NEVER recommend this property to anyone!

Owner's Response: Before giving too much credence to Mandy G’s review, please read the rest of our reviews for comparison. Mandy’s review is the product of a renter disgruntled because we had to take part of her deposit to cover the cost of damages that her group caused while staying in our house. It contains so many falsehoods and distortions that there is only room here to address a few of the most galling ones. Our rules allow a maximum of eight guests per unit. Before booking two of our units (this one plus Anchorage Palms I, VRBO# 511246) for the week of March 24 to 31, Mandy asked to be allowed to bring one additional child per unit. After hearing what a nice group of folks they are, and her promise to take good care of our house, we agreed to write both of her rental agreements for nine guests per unit (a total of 18 guests). We called Mandy five times on March 19th and 20th, leaving two voicemail messages in response to her request for an early check in; she never picked up or returned any of our calls. After check in on March 24th, Mandy texted Dennis that their kids had thrown the chains off of several of our bicycles. When Dennis arrived the next day to take care of the bikes, he found that Mandy, in reality, had 22 people staying in our house. When he tried to talk to her about this, she informed him that it was none of his business, and that it’s “actually only 21” people. When Dennis and the cleaning crew got into the house immediately after Mandy’s group checked out on Saturday, March 31st, they found that two of our beds now had large urine stains. Each of these beds had a roughly circular yellow stain close to 2 feet across on the fitted sheet that went down through the mattress pad into the mattress. Mandy’s assertion that those stains were there when she checked in is outrageous. Dennis is an outstanding property manager, who we have never had a complaint about until now. The aspersions that she casts on him are nothing but an attempt to change the subject. In over four years of renting on VRBO, this is just the second time that we have taken any part of a renter’s damage deposit. We take pride in our house and work hard to make sure that our renters find it clean and inviting when they arrive, and have a great stay while they are there. Property was beautiful, fit our needs perfectly, and priced very reasonably for the value and quality! Dennis, the caretaker, was great and there if we needed anything! Would recommend to anyone wishing a comfortable, homey place to stay!
