This apartment in Club Sierra was featured in the Sunday Times for its good value in such a 'hot' location. Club Sierra is a very discreet community built in the Andalusian style, located on Marbella's Golden Mile with a large pool and terrace that captures the sun all-day long. Being slightly elevated the pool has views down to the sea and catches the refreshing breeze. It makes the ideal destination to relax or spend quality time with the your family. Everyone who comes to Club Sierra falls in love with it. Streams, ponds and waterfalls with their fish, terrapins and frogs are a distinctive feature. We have our own 'underwater' bar that serves breakfast, lunch and drinks throughout the day where you can sit in the shade and watch the swimmers. Ours is a cool, spacious ground level apartment with marble floors throughout in the local style, it has a west-facing sun-terrace and small garden, ideal for a barbecue or alfresco dining.

Our family has grown up here and we have had more happy times than we can remember. Every year we introduce something new. This is the first ripe lemon from our new tree in the garden.

Why Leigh Stops chose West Costa del Sol

We bought this apartment because we wanted a large pool and to be within walking distance of tennis and golf. This was the only one on the whole coast we saw that fitted the bill. What we weren't expecting was the friendliness of the people who live here, the convenience of having our own bar/ restaurant and the magic and the sheer joy of the gardens.

We also wanted to be in Marbella, not Mijas Costa, not Calahonda, and not Estapona.

What makes this apartment unique

This is old Marbella at an affordable price. There is nowhere on the coast as lovely as Club Sierra for less than twice the price. It's spacious, stylish and discrete, but close to all the action. It feels very private and luxurious, yet you can walk to play tennis or golf. Yet if you don't want to budge, and a lot of people don't, everything you need is at hand. Manola Santana's exclusive raquets club is across the road (temporary membership is available for your stay). There is a large supermarket a short walk away. And the Club Sierra Social Club is open most days for breakfast, lunch, occasionally dinner and drinks and ice-cream throughout the day. Perfect.

  • On holiday a bathroom for each bedroom is a real luxury - don't accept anything else. Each bathroom is almost identical. They are large. They each have twin basins set into marble surrounds, wall length mirrors, a toilet, a bidet and a bath with a powerful shower and unlimited hot water. Bath towels are provided. We do ask that you bring your own towels for the pool or the beach.

  • There are two bedrooms, a large double with a bathroom en-suite, and a twin bedded room with its own separate bathroom. Each bedroom has extensive fitted wardrobes and is simply furnished. The double bedroom opens onto the terrace. The twin bedded room has full-length windows that open onto the tropical grounds. A cot and a high chair can be provided for a small additional charge. Both bedrooms have hot/cold air conditioning. You will find ample power points and a hair-dryer is provided. You should also find an adaptor plug in the apartment if you decide to take your own. Linen is provided.

The apartment is our second home, so you will find most of the things you would expect to find in your own. The living area has just been completely re-modelled and we have just added air-conditioning. There are always books, CDs & DVDs, playing cards and a selection of games for if your conversation dries up. We run an honesty system. You should find tea and coffee, olive oil and water when you arrive. Help yourself to any of the food or drink that you find. We only ask that you replace in kind what you consume. June who lives in Club Sierra is English and is able to help you settle in and solve any problems that might arise. There are sunbeds and umbrellas around the pool and and you will find an umbrella and bats and balls for the beach in the apartment. There is a lifeguard on duty by our pool in the Summer. The bar serves breakfast, lunch and drinks and the tennis club across the road also has its own bar and restaurant that serves tapas during the day.

Home from home but with sunshine and relaxation and beautiful surroundings!

We stayed at this apartment in August 2017 (family of 2 adults and 2 teens). Instructions of how to get to apartment were great and we arrived without any hassle. The apartment was wonderful - roomy, bright and a home from home. Everything was lovely and clean so we could just unpack and settle in. The resort of Club Sierra is beautifully landscaped and there were a mixture of holiday makers and owners living there. The pool was never crowded and we only had one occasion when we couldn't get a sun bed. The pool was clean and so warm. Don't be put off by the "rules" stating no ball games or inflatables - as you were able to have lots of fun with these anyway with no problems. There is a bar that serves food which we only used a couple of times (wee bit pricey in my opinion for the BBQ but you live and learn). Walking distance is a fab supermarket (Mercadona) which we used a lot ! We also went to the Sisters Tapas Bar next to the supermarket one evening which was lovely and also the Small World Cafe which although appeared to have mixed reviews was really good (you could walk to this one too but no pavements put us off a bit as the Spanish are mad drivers)!!!.

We had some great day trips - Ronda in the mountains is beautiful and you could spend all day there as so much to see. Marbella old town is wonderful - loads of bars, restaurants, little shops but generally just a great place to mooch around. We ate at the Plaza de Naranjos a couple of times and didn't find it too expensive and the food was brilliant. Do take a map of the old town with you as we did get a bit lost in the maze of small lanes trying to find where we'd parked the car! Puerto Banus is OK - gets very busy. Visit the artisan market (north of Puerto Banus but walking distance from the marina) on Saturday as that was good to look around too. We also went to Aqualand at Torrelominus - word of advice - try and book your tickets online before you go as will be a bit cheaper and also if you want any chance of going on the slides etc go for fast pass. We didn't and had not such a great time as all there were so many fast pass people the 'regular' ticket holders had no chance at getting along in the queue - there is another water park at Mijas (which we didn't try) which may be a better one to go to. Also Marbella Buggys was amazing - we did the two hour session and had great fun and was easy to book via email.

We will definitely come again - loved it so much x

Absolutely amazing summer!

We stayed here for 5 weeks, as the owners were kind enough to allow us to rent that long, and just returned already miss the apartment. The apartment is beautiful, bright and open and the outside terrace is lovely and peaceful of a night to relax on. Stunning views from the apartment and all around the complex, including the pool. Would definitely like to return and would recommend it to anyone.

Exceeded our expectations.

Lovely, quiet apartment; no traffic noise or loud neighbours.

Beautiful, small and friendly site; good security and the comfort of a lifeguard at the pool.

Easy to find from Malaga airport.

Extremely helpful manager (June Ali - thanks for all your help!).

Kids are desperate to go back next year.

Club Sierra is about 45km from Malaga airport and very easy to find off the N340 just before you arrive at Puerto Banus. It sits on Marbella's Golden Mile, in the foothills of the La Concha mountain, 2 km from the beach on the road to Istan. People are believed to live longer in Istan than anywhere else in Spain because they drink the spring water that runs through the village. Manolo Santana's exclusive tennis club is across the road. And you can walk to the Marbella Golf School. The centre of Marbella town is a ten minute drive and Oliver Valere's Night Club is a ten minute walk. Everything for a perfect holiday is at hand. You will only be disturbed by the eagles drifting down the valley on the thermals. There is plenty to see and do. The gorge at Ronda is a short drive, Gibralter is within easy reach and the Alhambra at Granada shouldn't be missed.

Other Activities: Relaxing, retail therapy, people watching, nightlife

Golf: Club Sierra sits at the entrance to Golf Valley. You can walk from the apartment to the Marbella Golf School (driving range) or you can tee off at a different course everyday. Alpha is just up the hill and Los Naranjos is down the other side, La Quinta is a bit further on and if you keep going you will come to Valderama. If your handicap is low enough you might even bump into Jimenez or Garcia. However, the courses can get busy and in the height of Summer it is advisable to avoid the hottest part of the day. We advise booking in advance. You can do this on the internet where a number of packages are available or when you arrive.

Ski: It tends to be rather hot in Marbella for most of the year although in winter the snow covered mountains are sometimes visible. The nearest skiing is a 4 hour drive up into the mountains in the winter only.

Should any failure occur guests should inform June Ali our agent, who will make every endeavour to replace or repair the item as quickly as possible.
