Perfect Dream Cottage!

  • 5 of 5

From start to finish, this is the place to rent in Port Angeles! My husband and I came for our Valentines Day weekend and Susan did an amazing job in communicating with us before hand. The cottage is absolutely adorable and nicely laid out. We arrived to a sweet welcome note and yummy shortbread. She thought of everything to providing us with a fully stocked kitchen, and bathroom. You can tell she put her heart into this rental. We had a wonderful time hiking the Dungeness Spit and dining at the Kokopelli Grill. The fireplace kept us warm and cozy back at the cottage! We can't wait to come back this summer to hike Hurricane Ridge and use her patio that overlooks her beautiful and creative garden!

Cozy Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Everything you need can be found in this home away from home. The site is quiet and comfortable and Susan is a wonderful hostess. We will be back to stay in the cottage again.

Best equipped home imaginable

  • 4 of 5

The cottage is exactly as described. Very cute, nicely located, quiet street. But we were amazed at how much effort they had gone to to make sure that everything you could think of was available. Many condiments, spices, laundry detergent, paper towels, cleaning supplies, first aid kit. I could go on. The TV is newer and has DISH which I found easy to use. The fireplace makes it very cozy as we stayed in the winter. Susan was very accommodating and went out of her way to buy me a spice that was not there, which was above and beyond in my opinion. Also, I found Port Angeles to be very friendly and also accommodating to what ever you may need.

Best Cortage Ever

  • 5 of 5

If there was a way to rate ten stars- we would. Everything from the booking process and verification of reservations to check out was easy, smooth, and full of hospitality. The cottage itself is adorable- perfect location for the town of Port Angeles and perfect spot for anyone wanting to explore the coast or other Peninsula towns. The cottage was very well equipped- I believe Susan has this kitchen stocked with more baggies, seasonings, and supplies than ours is at home. We arrived to a note congratulating us on our honeymoon and an amazing shortbread. We did not want to leave. I would recommend this adorable and charming cottage to anyone. It is the perfect escape to the Pacific NW and the hospitality is amazing. We cannot thank Susan enough for this experience and will be back.

The Dragonfly Cottage is absolutely wonderful!!

  • 5 of 5

I am so happy we decided to rent this cottage after reading all the other excellent reviews! My fiancée and I went to P. Angeles to celebrate my 54th Birthday. The cottage was clean, cozy, beautifully decorated, and totally stocked up with everything that you may need, from cooking a fancy meal to a simple sandwich. Susan, the owner, provides you with all sorts of spices, condiments, coffee, teas, sugar, popcorn, hot chocolate, and more, all included in the price. The bathroom is fully stocked up as well, with razors, emergency kits, and several personal items that you may forget to bring! Susan has thought of every possible single detail you may think of, or need. I am not kidding. You have to see it to believe it! Susan kindly called us on our first day, and told us we were welcome to check in earlier if we wanted to. When we arrived at the cottage, we had a wonderful surprise...a delicious shortbread cookie, a bottle of wine, and fresh pears waiting for us at the kitchen with a welcome note from her. During our whole stay, and we stayed there for a week (!) Susan was extremely helpful by suggesting places for us to visit, and restaurants for us to try. The cottage is carefully and beautifully arranged with details that made a difference on our experience on this trip. My fiancée and I would have never had the memories we have today if we had stayed at a hotel. We felt more like family guests, and it was hard to say goodbye. But please rest assured that you will be able to have total privacy. Before I forget, you may also ask Susan for a grill if you want one. She will get it ready for you in the back yard. We did. It was a nice new grill. We grilled 3 times, and were able to enjoy the backyard garden and the comfortable lounge chairs...fire pit...etc! You will not regret staying at this cottage!! Even though we live far, in Illinois, we plan to come back next year ...hopefully to go to the places we couldn't make this time. Do I have to say how beautiful the Pacific Northwest is? Oh my!! Thank you so much Susan for the most wonderful time, and for your dedication and care to the Dragonfly Cottage! We will see you next year!! And if you are still reading my review, I truly hope you won't think twice about renting this cottage! You will love it as much as we did!!

Lovely cottage and grounds

  • 5 of 5

Susan's charming cottage was a great place to stay near Olympic National Park. The location was perfect for visiting the northern portions of the park including Hurricane Ridge, Crescent Lake and the Sol Duc area. The cottage itself is very nice with its own outside area. The gardens are very pretty. Susan provides every amenity necessary for a great visit. We didn't cook but the full kitchen has everything one would need. There is even a washer and dryer. Susan provided restaurant help and even coupons! The check in/check out was very easy and our deposit refunded right away. I highly recommend this property.
