Highly recommend this "retreat".
The property and cabin are beautiful. Very spacious and comfortable. Everything is well kept and modern. Conveniently located by Mormon lake lodge and just 19 miles from Flagstaff. The property owner is easily available by phone if you have any questions regarding the property or surrounding area. We would highly recommend this property for your next vacation getaway.
We had a wonderful time and especially enjoyed the air conditioning with the temp in the 90's
Good experience. Access a little bumpy and house in good shape. Owner very helpful and our group of 7 very comfortable.
Although Mormon Lake is quite tiny at the moment, this was a scenic and peaceful place to enjoy some family time with our preschool and elementary-aged children. Bob was very responsive and helpful. The neighborhood has rock and dirt streets, and the street signs are rather occasional, so the place is a bit hard to find initially (my advice is, confirm the numeric address, and look very carefully at those outdoor pictures). The outside of the house has a little yard with a homemade see-saw and place for throwing a ball around, and we loved the wraparound porch with seating and a picnic table for playing, relaxing, and cooking out. The inside was adequately clean, and we particularly appreciated the bathroom and the doors for the bedrooms upstairs to help with that very early morning sunshine and household noise. We were there during a heat wave, so the fact that the cabin had air conditioning to make early evenings bearable was much appreciated. There were some very fun games in the cabin as well. The only critical comment I would make is that the kitchen pots, pans, and utensils are a bit sparse- for example, I used the only bowl to hold fruit, meaning there was not another available for mixing up the pancakes in the morning. The younger children enjoyed the 'petting zoo' (which I would actually call a farm animal exhibit, consisting of two black rabbits, bison, donkeys, goats, horses, and an enormous boar who would certainly not appreciate being petted!) and the little park within walking distance of the cabin (look at an overview map to find the dirt streets leading there), and the fishing at nearby Ashurst Lake (~15 minutes' drive) was fantastic. Thanks for a great stay :)
