Great home base for all the burroughs!

The apartment is exactly as described, and Elito is an amazing host. He's on top of check-in/out and any needs you have during your stay. It's a very comfortable place to have a few friends/family over for take-out (or cook yourself) during your stay.

The apartment is spacious, very clean with lots of storage space. It's also very bright with wonderful dimmers on virtually all the lights. While it is a "garden apartment" meaning it's at street level, it's only 3 steps below sidewalk level so full-sized windows are looking out to a complete street view. The neighborhood is quiet with the usual city sounds.

This is a residential block so you have to walk one or two blocks to a bodega, etc. It's easy to get to Manhattan taking the G (a 3 block walk) to the A (which is a simply transition because you only have to walk 5 steps across the platform for the other train - no up & down stairs or running through tunnels).

We were able to use the backyard & its b-ball hoop but not the grills because there was no gas or charcoal. Also there are no ice cube trays. I'm sure if we'd mentioned it to Elito, he would have had trays the next day he's that great of a landlord! There are 3 closet and the bedroom closet has great hangers. There is not much horizontal space in the bathroom or bedroom so allow for this when packing. The apartment was just a $6.50 per person Uber from JFK.
