This is not your average cabin rental! Formerly a small cabin, this home has gained a beautiful addition and is completely remodeled. Relax in a 1,600 sf home that sits on 175+ private acres with a pond, trails and a kids tree house. The home has a master bedroom with a queen bed, a kids bunk room that sleeps 4, a loft with a double bed and a full bath upstairs.
Downstairs has a large family room with a vaulted ceiling, a beautiful sun room, and a full bath with a view to die for. There is a large kitchen that is very well appointed.
This home is not located in a cabin rental area, but at the end of a private road. We have only recently decided to rent the property and it has been outfitted for our family not as a rental-very comfy beds and linens, a kitchen with all the amenities of home and a full size washer/dryer. This retreat in the woods easily sleeps 8-10 people: 2 in master bedroom, 4 in bunk room, 2 in loft, and 2 in sun room. The front porch has rocking chairs and glider, and the side patio has a picnic table and a BBQ pit. Additionally, there is a fire pit for roasting hotdogs or marshmallows in the evening with the kiddos.
Most trails and climbing areas are less than 20 minutes away.

It's beautiful, secluded and close to some of the best climbing in the world.
The cabin was very nice to stay in. Very close to the natural bridge hiking area.
The cabin is located in a secluded and peaceful setting.
Highly recommend it.
Great big yard and a fire pit for evening fires was lovely. Lots of privacy and space to hang out in hammocks. Well set up kitchen and comfortable beds. Near great hiking in the red river gorge. Enjoyed the local farmers market. We had a perfect stay! Thank you!
The home was fully equipped with everything you could need for a lovely vacation. The hiking books were invaluable. A few more restaurants in the area would have been nice but that is not the fault of the owners. The little precious kitty kat Echo was such a pleasure. She was one of the highlights of the trip. Wanted to take her home.
A great cabin in the woods!!. So secluded yet close to the trails. I highly recommend it to anyone coming to visit the gorge!
We stayed for a week while visiting the Red River Gorge. This is a beautiful home and setting. We loved the quiet and serenity, and the cabin was well-equipped, especially the kitchen! It was also a great location – a ten-minute drive to the trails, but a nice secluded place to come back to after a long day of hiking. The owner provided suggestions for restaurants and stores, which were very helpful as we were unfamiliar with the area. When we were not at the Gorge hiking, we enjoyed relaxing at the house. Coffee on the front porch in the morning while the sun was coming up was absolutely heavenly. At night, we turned off all the lights in the house, and went outside with our wineglasses to enjoy the starry night (we don't see much of that in the city!) Hope to return again next summer!
Have you ever wanted to have a second home to retreat to? This would be my dream second home - big enough to have a second family come to stay, at the end of a road surrounded by the woods, everything that you need to keep a family fed and entertained.
We stayed here with our two teenage kids, my brother in law & family & mother in law. Everyone fit fine, we used it as a base to explore Natural Bridge, Red River Gorge, and just hung out on the big porch one rainy day.
And... that soaking tub with a sunset view, we will be back!
