This Craftsman home is perfect for any family or couple looking to experience the best of Santa Monica. We are a short drive or bike ride to the beach and the Santa Monica Pier. You can walk north to Montana Avenue’s upscale restaurants and shops or south to the restaurants and nightlife that Wilshire Blvd. has to offer. Enjoy Douglas park - only a half block walk away with a Starbucks nearby. Douglas park has a lawn bowling green, 3 reflecting pools with ducks, children’s playground, tennis courts, and picnic tables and benches. Quick drive to the 3rd Street Promenade, Main Street shops, restaurants and bars, to Venice, Marina Del Rey, Malibu, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Westwood and more. Farmer’s Markets are held at 3rd Street Promenade on Wednesday and Saturday mornings to afternoons.
The home consists of 3 bedrooms (one king, one double, one single), one bathroom, large living room, kitchen, and dining area with seating for six. Home is comfortably appointed with Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn furnishings.
The home has two HDTV’s, one in the living room and one in the master bedroom. Both televisions have Direct TV with hundreds of channels including HBO, Cinemax, Showtime and all the premium channels Direct TV has to offer. The house is tech-equipped with DVD, DVR, high speed cable internet and wifi throughout.
The weather in Santa Monica is mild throughout most of the year and usually no need for heat or A/C. However the home has central heat for the cooler months of the year. For warm weather there are two window air conditioning units that are located in the master bedroom and living room. We get wonderful cross ventilation as well as we have screen doors on both front and back doors.
The kitchen has all you could need for meals and cooking, equipped with a stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher, along with plenty of pots and pans, dishes, tupperware, cutting boards, silverware, and cooking utensils. There is a coffee pot and hot water kettle for tea and coffee and a Brita water dispenser for drinking water. Sugar, honey, olive oil, cooking spray, salt, pepper and many other spices are stocked in kitchen for your convenience for cooking a meal at home.
We provide shampoo, conditioner and soap as well as towels and extra linens for beds. Beds have down alternative filled comforters with duvet covers. The home also has a washer and dryer with detergent provided.
We have a beautiful backyard visited by birds of all sorts and outdoor furniture so you can enjoy the beautiful Santa Monica air as you lounge in your own peaceful slice of paradise. There is also a covered patio for shade.
*NO smoking in or around the property. If smoke is detected in the home a $500 cleaning fee will be charged.
*NO parties or loud music allowed as it's a family friendly building.
Pets are considered on a case by case basis and for an additional fee.
We will provide you with a parking permit for parking in front of the home.
This is a quiet residential street. We don’t allow parties, loud music, or behavior which would disturb neighbors.

I needed a place for my family to stay (4 adults total) when I travelled to California for brain surgery. We chose this beautiful bungalow, and the three bedrooms suited our needs wonderfully. Everything was clean, comfortable, and welcoming! We enjoyed cooking meals in the cozy kitchen and eating at the dining room table. The bedrooms were nice and beds comfortable. The living room was spacious and great for relaxing. Our favorite part was the private backyard and patio with seating, where we could enjoy the sunshine and flowers and birds singing! Amanda was wonderful to work with when we had any questions or concerns. The property is nestled on a quiet street, about two miles from the beautiful beach- a great distance for a walk or run. We felt safe in the neighborhood. Very convenient location- close to shops and restaurants, and not too far of a drive from downtown L.A. Very close to the airport. Also, great hiking places and beautiful other beaches nearby (Santa Monica Mountains, Malibu, etc.) We could not have picked a more wonderful place to stay for our two weeks. It was peaceful, clean, and relaxing. I owe much of my recovery to this lovely home. We recommend this home to anyone and everyone!
My family of five stayed at this home for a week. It fit us perfectly! Amanda was very welcoming even from afar. It was stocked well with all the necessities and even some extras. We felt at home here and would definitely stay here again!
I had a wonderful experience. For me it was a great place to rest. The house it peaceful, on a quiet street with a great backyard. And the owners were attentive to help with whatever was needed during my stay.
We stayed here for 5 nights and really enjoyed out stay. Amanda was wonderful and accommodating. The house was nice and felt like home. My two year old daughter loved the quaint back yard.... and we loved the privacy. friendly neighbors. nice neighborhood. Delicious, local restaurants just down the street. great shopping within a mile or so. The Pier and Venice Beach are both close. I would definitely stay here again.
We LOVED our stay here. We are a family with a 11-month old baby and couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the week. The neighborhood is excellent, quiet but close to everything in Santa Monica and the west side of LA. There is a fantastic park 1/2 a block away that is great for kids or just for strolling or picnicking. Very easy access to the 405 and 10 freeways. There is a Whole Foods just a few blocks away and other grocery stores nearby, as well as plenty of restaurants for dine-in, take-out, or delivery.
The house is just as the pictures show. It has everything you need and is beautifully decorated. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is well-stocked with dishes, cooking equipment, spices, etc., the washer and dryer are new and fantastic, the bathroom is large, the dining room is fantastic, the living room sofa is very comfortable, the TVs are large and good quality, I could go on. The back yard is SO great - a wonderful patio with great furniture to lounge on, lots of grass, and totally fenced. The front yard is also large and very well kept.
The owners made sure we had everything we needed for our stay, including parking passes, a key for each of us, plenty of towels, sheets, cleaning supplies, etc. They even had a pack 'n play for our baby which was wonderful to not have to bring ours from home, as well as a high chair.
The only complaint is that, being an older house, and our stay having been in August, it got pretty warm in the house by late afternoon and there is no a/c (but they did supply us with plenty of fans). We opened the front and back doors which created a nice cross breeze and cooled it off quite a bit.
We would definitely stay here again! It beats a hotel hands-down, especially for families!
We stayed here for two weeks. It is in a lovely neighborhood, walkable and bike-able to many things… parks, ocean, excellent restaurants, fun shopping, etc. The house was clean and the owners gracious and very accommodating. We would stay here again.
