About Polly Brazelton
This is my son out on the harbor with our dog. Loving life! I grew up in Cambridge MA but Barnstable has always been home. My great grandfather bought this property at the turn of the century. It was a milking farm for years. My family's mission is to keep it looking like it did 100 years ago.
Polly Brazelton purchased this House in 1965
Why Polly Brazelton chose Barnstable Village
We bought this house as a much smaller cottage from people named the Allens. My family upgraded and quadrupled the size of the house within the last 20 years.
What makes this House unique
The views and the wildlife are wonderful. The water is close by. The house is spacious and yet cozy. Located in the historic district north of 6A. It's beautiful.

Perfect holiday gathering place!
This home is both beautiful and supremely comfortable with top quality furnishings and linens that are made for relaxed family fun. Peaceful views, great library, convenient location and the loveliest of hostesses!
Located in a very serene setting, free of immediate neighbors, w/great views of Barnstable seaside
The house/property is loaded with character. Hardwood floors throughout with plenty of comfortable seating and sleeping. Kitchen area is large with two bonuses..a high end gas stove and SubZero wine/beverage fridge. Bookcases are full of hints of the home’s history. Plus it’s pet friendly.
Private beach was about a third of a mile and Barnstable Harbor (whale watch and couple restaurants) maybe 0.5 mile walk. Barnstable village is an easy scenic mile walk and provides several restaurants, ice cream shop, coffee/bakery and market. If you choose you can park your car and never have too drive until you leave.
Owner Polly B was very accomodating and thorough. Daughter, Addie, and some relatives were also very friendly on the private beach, often stopping and asking if we needed anything. One gentleman even gave us a wonderful history of the family and surrounding properties.
We are already thinking about our next vacation at this house.

Summer Family Vacation in Barnstable
Our family had a wonderful and relaxing week on the Cape. The home we rented in Barnstable was the center of our vacation and it was perfect. The house we rented sit on a hill and is very private. It has an open and airy floor plan and the owner made us feel very welcomed. The center of the home is the kitchen-family room and was a where we gathered. The kitchen is well equipped, and the family room is very comfortable. The bedrooms are large and comfortable. The back deck is a great place to watch the sun set. Our days were highlighted with daily walks on the beach and to the village. Barnstable is a small village but has a couple of good restaurants and the local market met many of our needs. Larger grocery stores are close by as is the mall if one needs to shop. Everything was close by.
Spacious house is located on private conservation land. Plenty of wildlife. Behind house is large marsh with swans. Front of house is large tract of fields with Barnstable harbor in the view.
Arrival Sat after 3:30 pm, departure Sat before 10 am.
