Beautifully furnished home just 3 miles from the center of Indianapolis. Close to all the action that downtown has to offer. Don't forget to book ahead for all the race events at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The city has become a very large convention center as well. This home is so reasonably priced, you can afford to stay downtown!
There is a grocery store within walking distance that has a great butcher! The home has a wrap around deck with plenty of seating, sun or shade. Gorgeous dining room available to invite friends for dinner. A Bosch washer and dryer are at your disposal. There are two HD TV's in the house. There is also a separate, private internet connection with added Wi-Fi. A large walk-in closet available. There is parking for 3 vehicles. There is also free long distance in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
This home is located very close to not only downtown but also Hwy. 465 (known as the "circle". You can get anywhere, quickly with access to this road.
I needed a place to stay quickly while assisting my sick mother. My mother lives in an older neighborhood downtown where hotels are very expensive and most are not pet friendly. This reservation was made quickly and efficiently. The little cottage is located in an older neighborhood but I felt safe and the street was very quiet. The cottage was very clean and very comfortable. My small dog had a nice yard to play in. We would gladly stay here again.
This was a perfect little home for my daughter and me! It was spotlessly clean, and amenities were clearly assessable. The furniture and bed were comfy! Lynn was wonderful to work with! Although we didn't meet face to face, she was immediately responsive and so very helpful with recommendations to our questions about Indianapolis. We hope my daughter gets called to work in Indianapolis again. We loved the city, especially the canal area! We will most certainly return to this rental! Thanks for everything, Lynn.
I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful little home or it's owner. We walked in and immediately felt welcome and comfortable. It is extremely charming and we were very happy here. We just adopted a newborn baby boy and were not allowed to leave the state to take him home for a bit, so we enjoyed our first few days with our little Kai in this little gem of a house. The owner, Lynne, was extremely accommodating and kind, definitely the hostess with the mostest!! She even held some extra dates for us in case we needed to stay longer. I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone. You won't want to leave. We didn't!
I really enjoyed staying here. The owner has adapted the household fairly well to accommodate dogs. She's done this by making plenty of blankets available for the dogs to use, having a fully enclosed fenced in backyard and having installed only hardwood or tile floors. The house was very modern and updated; to include a great bed and very nice furniture.
The reason I didn't give all 5 stars was likely a communication issue. The owner was upset with me about dog hair being in the house and requested more money to hire a cleaning company for the dog hair. I have two dogs with very short hair and hardly shed at all (relative to most breeds). The house was vacuumed and the kitchen was cleaned, to include the dishes done and counters wiped down, etc.
However, I admit the house did still require to be cleaned on some level. In keeping with the general expectations of this business, though, it's always been implied that the residence is thoroughly cleaned after the last visiting tenet using the money charged from the rent (especially after allowing animals due to the general increase in price).
I've stayed at many AirBnbs or VRBOs over the years and haven't had a complaint until now. If I would have known upfront what was expected I would have hired a cleaning company on my departure or just stayed somewhere else.
That all said, the owner was very a friendly and helpful person. The owner decided to not charge me the last week I stayed there when I had to change my plans, which was extremely nice. It's apparent that a lot of effort goes into the residence so to make the experience as comfortable as possible.
I do highly recommend staying at this property for anyone with animals. The owner is a sweet woman who goes out of her way to ensure her guests' needs are met.
Just make sure that you have a solid understanding of the cleaning expectations before you jump in.
Very easy to get to off I465 and I74.
Stores plentiful. Neighborhood quiet although a bit older.
This beautiful and charming "Cottage" was the perfect place to use as our home away from home so our 2 small dogs and I could travel with my husband to a trade show he attended for work. Since I work remotely, I made the dining room my virtual office during the day while he was at the trade show and it worked out perfectly. We LOVED, LOVED, LOVED having a fenced in area so we could let the dogs out right away in the morning no harnesses required. I was able to find an anytime fitness in the neighborhood so I could get in a little work out since it rained nearly every day we were there. Otherwise walking in the neighborhood would have been fine as well, even though there are no sidewalks it is a quiet enough area that I would have felt safe from heavy traffic. J Lynne (the owner) was delightful and attentive in every way and seems to have thought of everything a perfect hostess would, right down to fresh flowers on the living room table and the whole place smelling wonderful and fresh upon our arrival. The minute we walked in we were stuck by how charming the entire place was and J Lynne's attention to every detail. Thanks J. Lynne for sharing your beautiful home with us and being such a superb hostess- if the opportunity presents itself we'll definitely be back. I'd love for it to be a different season so we could make use of the deck and adorable "sunroom".
Indianapolis does have UBER for all your transportation needs. It costs $9 to go the 3 miles to the center of the city.
I also offer childcare, pet care (walking, feeding & bathing) and for guests staying any length of time, additional housekeeping. All are offered at a nominal fee.
