Leave your worries behind and soothe your mind, body, and soul. Let us make relaxation your priority. Nestled in a tranquil cove on the lakefront of the beautiful 900 acre Wood Creek Lake in London, Kentucky.
Wood Creek Lake is home of the Kentucky state record large mouth bass at 13 lbs, 10 oz. If fishing is your thing, then it doesn't get much better than this lake. There are two main forks, Wood Creek & Gillis Branch; however, the lake is too narrow for some water activities as it is a 'no-wake' lake (in other words, no high speed watercraft including wave runners/jet-skis. Water skiing is prohibited.
Swimming is not encouraged, but it is allowed around cabin docks. All children under 18 should wear life jackets while in the water. The water is very deep on this end of the lake with potential hazards due to falling trees, etc.
While our guest, you may want to take in some sights such as Cumberland Falls National Park, Historic Berea, Kentucky, and Camp Wildcat Civil War Battlefield.
Cabin features 3 bedrooms(All Queen), 2 on first floor with full bathroom, 1 on second floor with full bathroom, remote controlled electric fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, gas grill, fire-pit, hot tub for 5, and private dock.
We have lived in London all of our lives. We are both retired after years of teaching and telephone work.
James and Sarah Johnson purchased this cabin in 2014
We fell in love with our own cabin on this lake, and we decided to build this rental to allow others to enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of Wood Creek Lake.
It is a quiet, peaceful lake. Very little traffic and lots of privacy.
We traveled from Minnesota with one of our daughters and her boyfriend to meet our daughter, son-in-law and 2 yr old granddaughter from South Carolina for Thanksgiving. The cabin was a perfect meeting place for us. From the cleanliness, to the supply of towels, kitchen amenities etc. we had everything we needed. The views, hot tub and large deck were perfect for everyone to spread out and relax. Pictures can't do it justice. Thank you too for responding so quickly when we had questions or needed assistance. We are definitely going to recommend the cabin to a friend who is looking for a place to meet his family. Thank you again for an amazing time!
Beautiful house with a beautiful view! Our family loved being away from the all the noise for a few days. Definitely recommend staying here!!!
Pros: Gorgeous porch, stunning view, comfortable beds, inside seems brand new, hot hot showers, very clean, awesome outdoor grill, plenty of plates, utensils, etc, quiet and peaceful, town is 15-20 minutes away
Cons: No dishwasher or disposal, had to re-set circuit breaker 4 times, no satellite/cable
Stayed here 2 nights for girls getaway weekend. The cabin is very clean and well appointed with a beautiful view of the lake, nice porch, fire pit, and hot tub! What more could you want? We also enjoyed fishing and kayaking. Would love to return; owners were very helpful with any questions we had.
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It is as beautiful as the pictures show. So peaceful and quiet we couldn't have asked for anything more. Firewood ready for the fire pit, all the furniture on the porch and fire pit you could need. There were 8 of us and had perfect amount of room. The beds were comfortable. We loved the view outside. I would use this cabin again anytime.
With beautiful scenery and a great location being minutes away from Cumberland Falls State Park. Every morning cup of coffee on the veranda overlooking the lake, afternoons with wine overlooking the lake and evenings with friends overlooking the lake. Perfect weekend for five close friends - Evenings of sitting by the camp fire (kindling, newspaper and logs provided) - hot tub perfect for morning wake up - gas grill with all cooking utensils. One clear night we witness a shooting star and discussed the constellations. Beds, blankets and pillows were comfortable and with a mix of mountain air. PERFECT.
We had a lovely stay! The pictures represented the home well. There was plenty of space for our group of 8 (4 adults, 4 children), with the addition of an inflatable bed, provided by the owners. The lake is very beautiful! We brought our own kayaks and launched in front of the home. Getting the kayaks down to the water initially was a bit rough, but the views all around the lake made it well worth the effort. The set of stairs to get to the water may be a bit too strenuous for older or out-of-shape guests. The deck is a great place to drink coffee and enjoy the view. The kitchen was well stocked. Overall we had a great time.

The cabin has 3 queen beds. For more than 6, I can provide two twins, or one queen air at a fee: twins, $25.00 each, or queen $50.00. I must know exactly how many people will be there and your choice of air mattresses. Maximum occupancy is 8. For 8 people, I need to know exactly which air mattress/mattresses you will need.
