Book for Summer/Fall 2016 This cabin getaway is located only about 10 miles from Interstate 75.
Leave your worries behind and soothe your mind, body, and soul. Let us make relaxation your priority. Nestled in a tranquil cove on the lakefront of the beautiful 900 acre Wood Creek Lake in London, Kentucky.
Wood Creek Lake is home of the Kentucky state record large mouth bass at 13 lbs, 10 oz. If fishing is your thing, then it doesn't get much better than this lake. There are two main forks, Wood Creek & Gillis Branch; however, the lake is too narrow for some water activities as it is a 'no-wake' lake (in other words, no high speed watercraft including wave runners/jet-skis. Water skiing is prohibited.
Swimming is not encouraged, but it is allowed around cabin docks. All children under 18 should wear life jackets while in the water. The water is very deep on this end of the lake with potential hazards due to falling trees, etc.
While our guest, you may want to take in some sights such as Cumberland Falls National Park, Historic Berea, Kentucky, and Camp Wildcat Civil War Battlefield.
Cabin features 3 bedrooms(All Queen), 2 on first floor with full bathroom, 1 on second floor with full bathroom, remote controlled electric fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, gas grill, fire-pit, hot tub for 5, and private dock.
We have lived in London all of our lives. We are both retired after years of teaching and telephone work.
James and Sarah Johnson purchased this cabin in 2014
We fell in love with our own cabin on this lake, and we decided to build this rental to allow others to enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of Wood Creek Lake.
It is a quiet, peaceful lake. Very little traffic and lots of privacy.
We loved our stay at the cabin. It was clean and kid friendly. We have a 17 month old and he was able to run around and play without too much worry. We stayed for a week and our only complaint were the beds; they were quite hard and uncomfortable. However, the cabin, the lake, and the view made up for it.
Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful cabin.
The property is in very good condition, very well equipped. Beautiful view of the lake. Would definitely return. Quiet and private area. Boat dock with night time lighting. Large front porch a plus.
My family and I (wife, 2 kids <2 years, parents 65+ years) rented this cabin as a last-minute getaway from some recent life stressors. We saw the ad on VRBO and chose this rental from a couple we were considering, and I'm very glad that we did! Everything was absolutely perfect, from the initial communication with the owners to the completion of the checkout process. The owners really went out of their way to be welcoming and create a very inviting atmosphere and make sure that we had everything we needed. We couldn't be happier! The cabin itself is in immaculate shape, and has everything you would need for a quiet getaway. We've never been to a lake so peaceful and quiet, and truly felt relaxed and apart from the world. From waking up to the mist rising off of the water's glassy surface, to seeing the sunset over the trees across the water while the stars come out, it was exactly what we needed. Not only where the accomodations great, but we were also able to experience some of the great nearby hiking and adventure at attractions such as Cumberland Falls and Camp Wildcat historical Civil War battlefield, both of which provided fun and entertainment for our entire family while still being doable with young kids. Again, we couldn't be happier with this rental and would highly recommend it to anybody looking for a great place to get away!
This place is great!!! Very Clean & just prefect for my girls weekend - we barely left the deck overlooking the lake as the view was gorgeous! The bedrooms and bath are very nice and kitchen was well stocked with the essentials to cook a few meals. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing getaway! My group picks a new place to meet every year; however we may make an exception to come back to this place
What an amazing time the family had. Quite setting on a perfect lake. Could not ask for better time. The Whaleys
We took a friends trip to Cabin Fever for a few days. The cabin was as advertised. It was clean, well maintained, and had most of the necessities we would need for our stay. The beds were comfy, plenty of deck furniture, the grill and hot tub worked perfectly, and towels were provided. The neighbors we spoke to were friendly as we're their dogs, Wendy and Charlie. We were able to relax and float in the lake and the stairs made getting to and from the lake very easy.
My admittedly minor complaints were the breaker box kept blowing when trying to use more than two burners on the stove, there weren't enough trash bags or toilet paper, nor were there any measuring cups. Those items were easy to supply ourselves and we left the measuring cups for the next guest.
Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The cabin has 3 queen beds. For more than 6, I can provide two twins, or one queen air at a fee: twins, $25.00 each, or queen $50.00. I must know exactly how many people will be there and your choice of air mattresses. Maximum occupancy is 8. For 8 people, I need to know exactly which air mattress/mattresses you will need. If there are more more than the number your give me, money will be deduced from your damage deposit.
