Get a sense of “Old Hawaii” in this charming 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom beachfront home. Spend your days watching the waves or magnificent sunset from the beautifully manicured lawn. Enjoy meals, cocktails, and conversations in the spacious living/dining area with the ocean in the background. Three Palms is equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, everything you need to prepare home cooked meals. Open the sliding doors to let in the natural sea breeze. Don’t be surprised if you see a turtle or two sunbathing right on the beach. Although you can snorkel at the beach outside, it is not recommended you do so in the winter months. Reviewer Comments:

You can't beat this location, even in the winter it was a beautiful spot and water was still very enjoyable (you just couldn't go out very far). The house though as described is ageing and there were a few appliance that didn't work upon arrival . However someone was sent out and most things were resolved (However they never did get the A/C working properly in one room). Plus there was issues with roaches in the Jack/Jill bathroom which really bothered some of the people staying. Overall was good value for money given the location and that we could have all the family stay together.

Reviewer Comments:

Loved our stay at Three Palms. This house was perfect for us. It is a older home that has been very well maintained. The location is perfect. Right between Foodland and Historic Haleiwa. We sat outside mostly, watched the guys surf, watched the turtles come up, and even saw some whales jumping in the distance. I would rent this house again. Right on the beach, you just can't beat that. We did not want to leave.

Reviewer Comments:

I am not one to hyper focus on challenges during vacation - particularly while in Hawaii. I don't tend to write poor reviews either. But I would want others to be careful of choosing this house when planning for what is typical a very special (and quite expensive) get away. The house is cute, great location and the beds were fairly comfortable. However, the house is quite run down. It is definitely due for some investment but you get the feeling the owner is buying time until they decide what to do with it next. The bathrooms are probably the most challenging - they need updating. The furniture is very dank and musty and was problematic for my husband who has allergies. The dryer was rigged up with a broom taped to the wall. The faucets were old and didn't move properly. the windows fall of the tracks and don't slide and the screen door fell off the tracks the first time we used it. Small things but they add up when you want to simply relax. We were also greeted with a load of laundry in the wash and a massive load of towels in the dryer that needed to be folded. As well, didn't have a toaster or paper towel. Again, odd and inconvenient. When we called in it took a bit to connect with the property managers but were told they would hop to it and fix/replace the items we raised. Lots of "so sorry, we will get right on it" but not one thing was done our entire visit. Last minute we were told to buy the items our self and we would be reimbursed with receipts. Like I want to go toaster shopping on my 4 day vacation on the North Shore? And regardless that was the afternoon before we left. I have stayed in Hawaii many times, for what you get here and how much you pay - this house and the property managers do not offer much value. As a result of the way things unfolded we were offered a small discount but honestly I would have preferred a little less hassle to a small amount of money back. There are lots of other options in the area - maybe keep looking.

Reviewer Comments:

We enjoyed our stay at Three Palms with a stunning view and location that is hard to beat. It has a charming "old cottage" feel with a spacious living area in a quiet location. Despite having neighbors' homes closeby, we rarely saw or heard anyone during our entire stay. The property description was accurate and the home was clean upon our arrival.

The house was on the beach and had a great view. The house was rundown and very in need of repair from the doors and windows to the dishwasher. We would not stay there again.

Reviewer Comments:

My wife and I and three adults rolled and stayed at this location. While the house is in a great location especially if you want to be away from the crowds in Waikiki and Honolulu, I must say the house could use a little TLC. And really nothing major is needed, but it could use the sliding door fixed as there is no lock for it, The medicine cabinet in the master bathroom needs to be fixed, as the door is about to fall off, but the one larger issue is the screens on the windows are in really bad shape. It is recommended to keep doors closed to keep geckos and bugs out but you can’t open the windows to let air in without letting these outdoor critters in. And it wouldn’t hurt to put a coat of paint on the place. Other than that, for the money the house is worth it.
