About the property

Newer Home, 2 BR, 2 Bath + Sleeping Loft, 1/4 Mile to Beech Mountain Ski Resort

This recently built cabin is great for a weekend with friends or a nice long family getaway. When you enter the cabin and approach the kitchen, you will find granite counter tops, tongue-in-groove wood walls and A-frame ceilings, hardwood floors, all appliances including a washer and dryer and a sleeping loft with queen bed that overlooks the living area. You will notice a stone fireplace with gas logs, large flat screen TV, and stereo, Wi-Fi, a comfortable couch, two armchairs and nice leather stools in the living area. The couch pulls out into a single sleeper sofa. Natural light permeates the cabin through massive windows hung in the top front of the A-frame.

The bedrooms are both equipped with queen beds and broad windows to watch nature or enjoy the cool breeze. The Master Bedroom is like a cabin within a cabin. The ceiling is tongue-in-groove wood and A-framed. The Master Bedroom has its own private bathroom and a flat screen TV with DVD player. Both bathrooms are comprised of a shower, bathtub and sink below overhead lights. The cabin is equipped with a tankless water heater so take a nice long shower with no fear of running out of hot water. The home also offers a spacious sleeping loft with queen bed. This loft is accessible by a sturdy set of metal pull down stairs and is also equipped with TV and DVD player.

A beautifully built A-frame roof, with tongue-in-groove wood, shelters the front deck with log style chairs. The large private back deck looks out over a natural area and offers views of the ski slopes and surrounding area. A wrought iron patio dining set provides the perfect spot to enjoy a home cooked meal or each morning's cup of coffee. The back yard has a fire pit for those evening gatherings toasting marshmallows or making s ‘mores. Deer stroll through the yard daily with little fear of guests.

When staying in the mountains you should stay in a Log Cabin. Nothing feels more natural! This recently built cabin offers all the modern conveniences with an upscale feel. There is something very special about being surrounded by the natural wood interior and log exterior. Leave the drywall at home and come enjoy our picturesque log cabin! When you envision staying at a cabin in the mountains, you are thinking of this cabin. Our cabin is meticulously maintained and in excellent condition! We pride ourselves on providing guests a clean, comfortable and affordable place to stay! Beech Mountain is one of the most beautiful locations in the North Carolina Mountains and our cabin is one of the newer homes available to you.

There are several restaurants, bars, stores and markets within walking distance. Fred's General Mercantile is approximately .5 miles away. A true Slice of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

The comfort of and peacefulness of a Slice of Heaven was exactly what my family and I needed to escape reality. This year my father and Uncle became angels in Heaven so the name for this cabin was just perfect for the purpose of the trip. We had a great time creating cherished memories with more family. Great location and the owners were wonderful to work with. Would definitely stay again!

Owner's Response: Jacqueline, We were so glad to hear that you had an enjoyable visit to Beech Mountain and a comfortable stay in our home. We are sorry to hear of your lost loved ones and are honored to be part of the lasting memories made during your family getaway. The peacefulness of the NC Mountains, and Beech Mountain specifically, is the main reason we own our home. We long for it when we aren't there, relish it while there and miss it as soon as we leave. We look forward to having you back and hope the fond memories of your Father and Uncle provide needed comfort during this time. Our Sincere Best, Matthew and Brooke Morris

Very nice stay

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful house that is well-kept and has very nice amenities. The bedrooms are well sized. But, I didn't realize that the living room was smallish or that the two tables inside seat only two apiece. But that didn't matter because we were able to eat outside at a table for four (our number) in the wonderful mountain air with a view of the trees, mountains, and deer. And at night, rather than watch tv (or our phones!), we built a fire in the fire pit and roasted marshmellows. My husband and I also enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the stars after the kids went to bed. The ladder to the loft is a little precarious at first, but works well. Our kids enjoyed going up and down constantly! Love the openness of the inside with large windows looking out. This is a nice space to enjoy a vacation at Beech Mtn!
