Great Summer Getaway

My family stayed at Helen's wonderful house. It was a nice and private residence that is still close to shops and attractions. We were able to easily get to Universal studios and Beverly Hills for our tourist activities. Other times we enjoyed the comfort of the house. The backyard was our favorite. I spent most mornings just relaxing in the garden with bees , hummingbirds and squirrels. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking up a storm when we didn't feel like eating out. Not to forget Helen stocked it with basic necessities before our arrival. We had such a great time staying in her lovely home and Helen was such a gracious and fantastic host. We would definitely return for our next family vacation!

Fantastic location for a vacation

I planned a trip to surprise my mom by taking her along with my two girls to visit her siblings. It was a great trip but the best part of it was Helen's house. This beautiful house is located right in the middle of downtown Woodland Hills but in a private side street. There are many restaurants and coffee shops in 5 minutes walk and the highway, is only 2 minutes drive. I'm a runner and I loved my 5 miles run every morning in the beautiful safe side streets. The garden is out of this world. I loved to sit outside with the candles reading my book or on my laptop. Helen is a lovely lady and made our stay perfect. She had milk, eggs and water ready in the fridge so there was no need to run to a supermarket on the first day. The house is sparkling clean and delightful. Highly recommended and we now have a place in LA for our next visit.

Lovely Cottage in a big City

We spent 5 wonderful weeks in this adorable cottage in Woodland Hills. It is within walking distance of some great restaurant's and is very close to the 101 entrance but still very quiet and secluded. Ideal for a retired couple or a young couple with 2 small children. Very private with Lemon and Grapefruit trees in the back yard. The backyard is ideal for entertaining or just laying back with a good read and glass of white wine. Grocery shopping very convenient as well. We would certainly rent this place again.

Perfect

For a week before Christmas last year and again this year my wife, daughters and I rented Helen's home. The home is completely and well equipped for easy comfortable living as a small home away from home, and Helen's personal notes regarding use impart hospitality. The home is immaculately kept but not ostentatious. The location is a fine starting point for vehicle travel throughout congested LA and is convenient to several mega-shopping malls for our shopping needs. The large back yard with fruit trees and surrounded by a high fence has provided a welcome sun-filled place for exercise and relaxation, even in "coolish" December. Closing the electric front gate provides privacy and secure parking, a significant plus. We have rented several different homes in the greater LA area, and Helen's is the best, which is why we will certainly return again!

Amazing Home Away from Home

Helen and her home are truly amazing. Me and my family couldn't ask for anything better. Me my husband and our two girls stayed at the House for 3 weeks. the location is outstanding, Its right next to Ventura Boulevard. Shops and restaurants are in walking distance. also the 101 and 405 are 2 minutes drive. The back yard in the house is truly Awesome my two little girls enjoyed it very much and so are we. We had everything we needed in the house. Helen helped above and beyond with everything we needed. We will surely suggest with to friends and family. Thank you so Much Helen for the fantastic stay. Truly Appreciated.

A Home Away From Home

Helen and her Woodland Hills Cottage are 5 star! I hate to give away my secret home away from home ... but that is exactly what it is! I stayed alone to do some work I had that was in Santa Monica and also Granada Hills. The Cottage is the perfect middle point as sometimes I was in both places in one day. I so enjoyed the quiet .. and would often sit outside and listen to the foutain and birds bathing in the mornings with my tea. The back yard (garden to the English) is lovely and gave me fresh grapefruit and lemons and limes! The kitchen is my favorite spot. Helen has impeccable taste and her cookware and dishes are all top notch! I even had a few friends over for a meal because I was just itching to cook! The master bedroom is so comfortable and peaceful. Bed is very comfy. I loved having a bath tub to collapse into at the end of the day. Second bedroom is equally as nice with a big writing desk. There is plenty of closet space and easy access to washer and dryer. I will be back as soon as possible. Thank you Helen for a incredible stay!! Also - you are with in walking distance to a Starbucks and Juicy Ladies ( a fantastic juice, smoothie bar and restaruant for wonderful organic and healthy food!

There are quiet, safe neighborhood streets for jogging and walking too.

There are 2 large shopping malls with 2 miles on Topanga Canyon and an outlet center 10 miles to the N. on the 101 Fwy.

Topanga beach is within 20-30 minutes drive depending on traffic and to the N of that, the 27 miles of glorious Malibu and the pier. Quiet, more remote,wild beaches can be reached in 45 minutes. Universal Studios is the closest Theme Park at 30 minutes away.

The Santa Monica Mountain range is minutes from the house with endless hiking trails. Horse riding can be arranged at various facilities.
