A gem tucked back in the pines!Staying
A great bed and breakfast. Felt like I was way out in the country surrounded by beautiful pine trees. But the location was close to the Air Force Academy and Colorado Springs. Next door to Fox Run Regional Park with hiking trails and a large, wooded dog park if you bring your best friend with you. Only an hour to downtown Denver. A lot of privacy too, you basically had the lower half of the house to yourself. Can't say enough about Heidi's hospitality and gourmet breakfasts which were different each day and all delicious, a great way to start the day.
Thank you - so glad you enjoyed your stay and were comfortable at Fox Run B & B. It was great you could take advantage of the park and the dog park so close by! I know your dogs enjoyed it! It's great the location was convenient for your travels from Colo Spgs to Denver and in-between. Thank you for choosing Fox Run B & B! We loved having you!
Fantastic, cozy base to explore the entire area
I traveled with my mother, toddlers and sister and this was a perfect place to discover everything that the Colorado Springs area had to offer. The house had everything that we needed to feel comfy, relaxed and cozy. The perfect garden around the property had tons of space for the children and my sister's dog to romp in and we enjoyed roasting s'mores and drinking wine around the fire pit. The children loved the forest setting too. Our host, Heidi was so warm, accommodating and gracious and her breakfasts were over the top wonderful. What a perfectly relaxing vacation!
I'm so glad you had a fun and relaxing stay. It was nice you had a few days to explore different attractions, and great to see folks using the fire pit and having good old campfires! I so enjoyed your family - your kids are precious and everyone was so enjoyable to chat with over breakfast. Come back!
Rural Atmosphere So Close to the City
Very comfortable accommodations with delicious breakfasts and afternoon treats. Heidi is a delightful person to work with and talk to. Setting is a peaceful rural one that is hard to believe it is so close to COS.
I'm so glad you were comfortable here and enjoyed your stay. It was a pleasure to get to know all of you. I hope to be able to host you in the future!
Relaxing B&B that feels like your own home and yard!
We really enjoyed our stay and the breakfasts were very good. Nice property that was dog friendly. Owner went out of her way to make you feel at home. Beds were a little hard would have been our only negative comment but quickly adjusted to them and slept well. We stayed with three adults and three dogs for three nights and I could not be more pleased with the accommodations. Icing on the cake was the owner making you feel at home and the crepes were my favorite! We were welcomed the night we checked in and I enjoyed the fire that was made in preparation for us. It was relaxing sitting by it after a day of driving. It was very warm the next few days and we would sleep in a bit, walk the dogs around the property, eat a great breakfast then head out on an afternoon adventure. We would return in the evening to relax, watch a little TV or read, usually tired from the altitude change and go to bed. We would recommend this property to anyone, especially if you like to take your dogs with you!
Heidi and this property are the best! She is sweet and willing to make your trip the best it can be with her knowledge of the area and AMAZING breakfasts! I don't know who had more fun, us or our dogs.
This was the best decision!
Thanks so much for your kind words! I'm glad you and the dogs were comfortable during your stay. The great photos you took should be on Facebook soon! I enjoyed getting to know you all and hope to see you again!
Heidi was great and the stay was very nice.
Thank you, David. It was a pleasure getting to know your family and hosting you during your stay in the area. Best of luck to your son this year!
