We really enjoyed our stay and the breakfasts were very good. Nice property that was dog friendly. Owner went out of her way to make you feel at home. Beds were a little hard would have been our only negative comment but quickly adjusted to them and slept well. We stayed with three adults and three dogs for three nights and I could not be more pleased with the accommodations. Icing on the cake was the owner making you feel at home and the crepes were my favorite! We were welcomed the night we checked in and I enjoyed the fire that was made in preparation for us. It was relaxing sitting by it after a day of driving. It was very warm the next few days and we would sleep in a bit, walk the dogs around the property, eat a great breakfast then head out on an afternoon adventure. We would return in the evening to relax, watch a little TV or read, usually tired from the altitude change and go to bed. We would recommend this property to anyone, especially if you like to take your dogs with you!
Heidi and this property are the best! She is sweet and willing to make your trip the best it can be with her knowledge of the area and AMAZING breakfasts! I don't know who had more fun, us or our dogs.
This was the best decision!
Heidi was great and the stay was very nice.
There were three of us wrapping up nearly a two week long vacation in CO. This B&B was our next to last night before heading back to Ohio. We arrived late in the evening after a full day and were met in front of the house by the owner and one of her wonderful dogs. A nice greeting you will never get at a hotel. After a tour of the property we were given a great restaurant recommendation nearby which we thoroughly enjoyed. We returned as it was getting dark and on the tail end of a thunderstorm which, unfortunately, kept us from enjoying the grounds of the property. We settled in to the comfortable surroundings and had the best night's sleep of our trip. The next morning we had an incredible breakfast and great conversation with the owner before leaving to start our day.
I have stayed at B&Bs and have not particularly enjoyed them. As a frequent business traveler, they really aren't my thing. Although I was vacationing on this trip, the atmosphere was not the same as we weren't renting just a room, we had the whole lower level of the house with our own private entrance. It seemed like home away from home.
I very much enjoyed our brief stay and would definitely stay again for business or personal travel. I highly recommend adding this lodging stop to anyone's journey. You won't be disappointed!
Heidi's home is very comfortable and the neighborhood lovely. Her hospitality, though, is what makes the experience so lovely. Heidi is a wonderful, kind hostess. Her breakfast and snacks are delicious and she is so kind. The home was also clean and had all the extra amenities. I definitely enjoyed my stay!
We feel so fortunate to have found this location! The BnB is set on multiple acres with lush, soft green grass surrounding the home. We enjoyed tossing the frisbee outdoors and ran barefoot on the grass. Ms. Heidi had some lawn games for us to choose from as well. There is also a firepit outside, that we enjoyed roasting marshmallows one evening. For the younger kids, there's a swing set and slide too. My 11 year old son was almost too big for the swing set, but he did enjoy practicing chin ups on the overhead bar each evening. Inside the BnB, multiple board games were provided, and my kids enjoyed a nightly game of Twister. As the description says, Ms. Heidi lives upstairs and you are getting the entire downstairs area to yourself: Living room w big TV, kitchen table and area with a microwave and small fridge, 2 bedrooms (we rented both rooms for our family of 4), and 1 bathroom. The King size bed was a bit firm (we both prefer soft beds), but we were still able to get a comfortable, good night's sleep each night. Both kids loved the twin bed arrangement and said they were cozy in their room, just immediately down the hall. Ms. Heidi's breakfasts in the mornings were simply amazing and delicious. She can cook better than me!! She had coffee/tea set up at the top of the stairs each morning at 6:30, in case we wanted coffee or tea, prior to our pre arranged breakfast time-which she left completely up to us to decide the time each morning. Ms. Heidi is a kind, caring person who was also quite helpful with recommendations for local attractions and events to see/do in the area. Both of my kids thouroughly enjoyed playing with Ms. Heidi's dogs. At my kids insistence, I texted Heidi on our second night, asking if the dogs could come out and play with my kids-which she did allow. My entire family is still talking of how nice and kind Ms. Heidi was, how scrumptious all her food was (she even left us evening snacks), and we feel like we made a genuine friend as well as had a safe, comfortable spacious place to stay. I can't imagine anyone being unhappy staing at the Fox Run BnB!
