Located across the XV century palace named “Pilate´s House” (you can enjoy the view of its beautiful gardens with authentic Roman sculptures and antiques from your own rooftop terrace with the illuminated Giralda Tower and many other Church steeples as a backdrop) and next to the Casa Imperial (a XVI century palace) you cannot beat this location if you want to be in the center of Seville’s historic district. This area of the old quarter is made up of a maze of old narrow cobble-stoned streets, each one leading to a new gem: restaurants, bars, and fabulous antique palaces, some which have been recently restored make up the atmosphere of what many consider to be the nicest area of the historical center of Seville, and also near neighborhood markets if you want to immerse yourself in the “real” Seville.

The apartment is located on a very quiet street in one of the most typical quarters, with a mix of stately, historic houses, plazas and churches. This part of the city provides a perfect insight of everyday life in Seville, offering a more authentic experience without sacrificing proximity to the major monuments and cultural sights. As for gastronomy, every bar and restaurant in the neighborhood offers a wealth of history for viewing while one enjoys tasting traditional Spanish cuisine.

There is a harmonious blend of Gothic-Mudejar, Renaissance and Romantic architecture right outside your door. It is close to the bus lines and main entrances of the city center, although there is enough within walking distance to keep you busy for days (the Alcazar, the Cathedral, the archeological city remains at the Metropol-Parasol or “Seta”, the old Jewish Quarter, the Santa Cruz pedestrian center, the Riverwalk, the Torre del Oro…). The oldest plaza in the city, the Salvador, is a few minutes from your location – the Roman Agora was located here and you can find the original columns as you walk through the pedestrian streets.

The penthouse has a maximum capacity for four people: one bedroom with a double bed 1.95x1.40 meters and a comfortable double sofa bed (1.80x1.40 meters) in the living room, with lots of natural light through the unobstructed windows in every room and a wonderful terrace. There is an open kitchen fully equipped with stove top, microwave, refrigerator, freezer and clothes washing machine; an upgraded bathroom with a shower, central air conditioning and WIFI.

There is a public car park at Calle Catalina 2, at 500 meters (.25 miles – walking distance), closest shops and grocery at 10 m, restaurants at 20 m, bus stops at 50 m, railway station at 2 km (1.2 miles).

About Inma & Esther

I grew up in Seville, and I know the city like the back of my hand. Although I moved to the United States, my husband, two children and I still visit a couple of times every year because my entire family of 10 brothers and sisters are all there! I decided to buy my own place rather than staying at my parents, and found this little jewel :) I searched high and low, with location and quiet foremost in my mind. Now my friends want to come with us so I bought another apartment around the corner - so I can host up to 8 people!

Why Inma & Esther chose Santa Cruz

Location, location, location! Although it is in the very center of the old city, which tends to be very dark because of the narrow streets, the fact that this is the only attic on the top floor provides as much light as if I was in a chalet at the top of a hill - but instead of a forest of trees, I am surrounded by church steeples and palace gardens! I went to school nearby and used to walk by the Pila del Pato and the narrow Callejon to walk to my aunts, and it felt like I was going back in time! Since then I have always dreamed of living there.

What makes this apartment unique

You can't beat the view! Sitting in the terrace and listening to the doves cooing in the magnolia trees from the neighboring Casa de Pilatos Palace, the church bells calling time, and the sun shinning among the rooftops, with the Giralda presiding, as you sip a glass of wine... there is nothing better in the world, in my opinion! The fact that you can be anywhere on foot in just a few minutes (the Cathedral, the Alcazar, the Antiquarium, the Fresh Market or any of the magnificent local restaurants) is also a unique benefit of the location.

We had an amazing time in Sevilla, the apartment was perfect for our stay! It´s central, small but enough space for two people and good equipped. The terrace is a big advantage! The view is wonderful and we sat there every morning having breakfast. We totally recommend this apartment and would love to stay there some time again. Thanks Inma!

Perfect location to enjoy the city on foot.

This property is exactly as discribed - it has wonderful views from the roof terrace which we enjoyed every day and only saw a neighbour once (who hung out some washing and left) so it feels private even if it isn't officially! Yes, there are a lot of stairs to climb to reach the apartment but the view is worth the effort and they are totally manageable! The location is perfect if you want to explore Seville - we walked everywhere with ease and found many different routes back to the apartment. The apartment is tiny, but would fit 4 if needed (it would be a tight fit!) - we are a family of 3 (mum, dad & 16yr old ) and it worked fine for us.

We took up the offer of collection from the airport by the lovely Ester, who was fantastic and on the end of the phone when we needed her (the electrics went out) the problem was fixed immediately and didn't interrupt our day at all - she also pointed us in the right direction to get to a bar / restaurant / supermarket on our first evening - highly recommend her service!

If what you are looking for is a base from which to explore - this is perfect.

We plan to go back - hopefully quite soon!

Life in old Seville . Perfect location. Its an Atico not a penthouse.

One of you neighbors are the Dukes of Medinaceli. Its possible to see the Giralda and part of the garden of the Casa de Pilatos from the rooftop just out side . The stairs served as a Stairmaster like workout to toughen us up for all of the walking we did around town. Plenty of shops , bars ,eating places and a supermarket nearby. We were there for a month and it served as a base for trips around town and Andalucia. Its small and basic but we knew that and it was fine for the two of us.

Magical rooftop views

Beautiful, magical location high up in the rooftops of Seville. The sun rises through the window on one side of the flat and sets in the other. You can spend hours just watching people in the street or on other rooftops. The flat is small and simple, but this doesn't matter - the views and position make it sublime. Highly recommended. We will be back soon!
