Exceptional two double bedroom ground floor apartment, ideally located in the privately owned Old Village resort. The apartment has been recently re-furbished to a very high standard with coordinating soft furnishings and has a private south facing sun terrace with garden furniture for al fresco dining.

The Old Village is uniquely designed, based on 18th Century Portuguese architecture - a mix of rustic and traditional styles with pastel coloured buildings and cobbled walkways. These exclusive apartments are all privately owned and surrounded by landscaped gardens that burst with bright flowers and palms. The Old Village is free from traffic and surrounded by the exclusive fairways of the Pinhal golf course.

There are three swimming pools on site - two of which are child friendly. The quieter "adult" pool is a mere 29 steps from the apartment! There are two pool bars, a coffee/breakfast shop, two licensed bars, licensed supermarket with fresh bread delivered daily, children’s playground, two cafes and several restaurants including French and Portuguese.

The apartment has cable TV with a wide range of channels including BBC, ITV, Sky Sports, BT Sport, etc.

Free wifi is available across The Old Village (code supplied on booking).

A car is not necessary to enjoy a holiday in Vilamoura being only 20 minutes taxi drive from the Airport (approximately £20).

There are two beaches within a 10 minute walk. Marina Beach offers the popular Buzio's beach restaurant, and Felisha beach has a wide range of facilities including a childrens playground, showers, sunbeds and shops and snack-bars.

We have just returned from 2 weeks, we had a truly lovely holiday, the apartment is the perfect size ( only downfall no air con) . The complex is immaculate and a shop, bar and restaurants so close by. The pool area is great to, you do have to pay for sunbeds during the day which was about 3 euros per bed...It was about a 20 minute walk to the Marina with an amazing choose of restaurants

I would highly recommend this complex and Vilamoura .Princess gardens restaurant we loved which is about 15 steps away from the apartment door , the cocktails were amazing and superb service. Happy Hour in Bar O caf? to , lovely wine for 1 euro ..Free wifi in a lot of the cafes too...Atlantic bar in the Marina was our regular haunt, live music and fab sangria..All in All a great holiday, complex and apartment..

Fantastic Apartment, Perfect Location

We stayed in this beautiful two bedroom apartment during the last week of June 2013. It exceeded all our expectations and is located in a perfect spot within the Old Village complex, adjacent to the Princess Garden restaurant and pool. The apartment has been tastefully decorated throughout and has been equipped with everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday. The south facing garden terrace benefits from all day sunshine. The apartment and indeed the whole village are absolutely spotless and maintained to an exceptionally high standard. We would recommend this property to anyone and are already eagerly planning our return visit.

Great apartment, great location

The apartment is very clean, tastefully decorated and well equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable, relaxing self catering holiday. We were looking for a holiday apartment that was suitable for a small child and this one was perfect as the terrace is fully enclosed by a hedge and is accessed from the living room. The apartment is right beside the Princess Gardens restaurant and swimming pool though we mostly used the main pool as it was more fun - the one beside the apartment seemed to attract the more serious sun bathers. It is only two minutes walk from the on site supermarket (fresh bread every morning) and Bar O Café which was our favourite bar/restaurant in the Old Village - good food, friendly staff and very decent wine for only 1 euro a glass during happy hour (3pm - 7pm daily)! The Old Village is a great location, well designed and maintained and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. We had a great time staying in the Old Village and I can definitely see us returning again for future holidays.

Vilamoura is a resort of the highest standard, with a wide choice of restaurants, a marina, two golden beaches, cinema, casino, tennis courts, mini golf and shops – all are excellent plus it is surrounded by five golf courses.

The two award winning golden beaches (which are 10 min away) are the perfect place to relax with your family, occasionally venturing to visiting the beach bars/bistro for a cool drink or ice-cream. For those more energetic, enjoy the water sports including wind-surfing, jet-skiing, scuba-diving, boat trips, paragliding and snorkelling.

The sophisticated marina, packed with luxury yachts, creates a cosmopolitan ambiance and is lined with excellent restaurants, many at reasonable prices and catering for all tastes including traditional Portuguese fare and locally caught fish.

There is a super water park nearby - or enjoy a fun packed day at "Zoo Marine" where you can see dolphins and seals, take a trip on the water-log ride - or just sunbathe near the children's pools.
