About Cynthia Frye

My husband and I are from southern CA and are planning on retiring in WA. Our Anacortes house has the most amazing view. I had so much fun with decorating our 'Bistro' home that we want to share it with others. We have even had Chef Mido Benjdia at our home to cook for our group. He had plenty of room to work and we had plenty of room to eat and have fun.

Cynthia Frye purchased this villa in 2013

Why Cynthia Frye chose Fidalgo Island

I have always wanted to be in WA. When we decided to purchase we wanted close to Seattle. Our real estate agent wanted to take a look at Rosaria Rd, having extra time and going by we agreed. When we walked through the front door that was it. We made an offer, it was accepted, and we went home to wait out the escrow. We got home, my husband and I looked at each other and both asked if the house had bathrooms, the view is that breathtaking. We could not remember if we looked at anything else, honestly I am sure I did not even check out the bathrooms.

What makes this villa unique

Seclusion with an awesome view and comfort. Watch the Eagle flying around from the back deck as you sip a glass of wine. The sunsets are amazing but don't forget the sunrises. Watch as the sun comes up and notice the changes in the scene with every passing minute. Remember to try and guess the secret of the wine bottles.

One of a kind beauty

  • 5 of 5

This is one of the most spectacular places we have stayed. The view is almost overwhelming it is so amazing. The house is a flawless vintage style and has every comfort needed. Comfortable beds, plenty of sleeping, large rec room that separates from the main living area. Huge deck with even more amazing views. Quiet neighbors. No need to look any further in this area for the rental you want. This is it!. The owner is extremely easy to work with and very attentive to your needs during your stay. Our damage deposit was returned in less than a week. We will consider this our rental home away from home from this point on. Just a few minutes into Anacortes for great dining or a quick trip to the grocery store. Deception Pass State park is about 5 minutes away. Plenty of hiking, fishing, tidepooling, boating are within easy reach. We have family that live in the area and are used to its beauty. But when they entered the house they were quite amazed by the location, the home and the panoramic views. Thanks to the owner for a perfect stay!

Amazing view; beautiful property; luxury house that was clean and comfortable with plenty of room

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time to the Pacific Northwest. Wow! Anacortes was amazing. I am so glad that we stayed at this house. It is secluded, yet minutes from downtown Anacortes. Moreover, I can't imagine that there are many other properties with a better view. We could see the San Juan Islands, Rosario Strait, the Olympic Peninsula, and the Strait of Jaun de Fuca.

Beautiful View, Clean & Comfortable House, Keep an eye out for your deposit

  • 3 of 5

We stayed here for a "ladies retreat" at the beginning of August and absolutely loved the convenience of the location. The house is around 15 minutes from Anacortes, the ferry (we did a day trip to San Juan Island- so easy and fun!), Deception State Pass, and Mt. Erie (HIGHLY recommend making the short drive on a clear day for amazing views). The house itself has a beautiful view, with a huge deck for relaxing on.

The kitchen is well stocked, the whole house was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. AC was appreciated, as well as the added touch of a complimentary bottle of wine. There are games in the back bedroom and a nice TV with DVD player. Everything you could possibly need for a comfortable, relaxing, and fun stay!

Unfortunately, there is one major negative which makes me think I will not rent this property again (which is a shame, we enjoyed it so much we were talking about making it an annual ladies retreat!). It has been over a month since our stay and I have not received my deposit back ($500). We followed the check out instructions and did not create any unusual mess. I tried emailing the property manager a couple of times with no response. It completely is understandable if there was some damage I am unaware of or cleaning, but I haven't even received an explanation. Disappointing!

Breathtaking view!

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful property near Rosario Beach and Bowman Bay State Parks sits on a hillside overlooking the Puget Sound. The view is breathtaking. You can sit on the spacious deck and watch ships go by in the morning or watch the stars overhead at night. The three bedroom, 2 bath house has 3 queen beds and 1 king size bed and was perfect for 4 adults and two grandsons. The king bedroom has large windows that overlook the water. Two of the queen beds were in a large room that was perfect for our two grandsons. They could spread out their toys and not be underfoot with the adults who were watching TV in the living room. The kitchen is large and well stocked with dishes and appliances. The dining room table pulls out to seat 10 but we also sat outside on the deck for some of our meals. There are two bathrooms, one near the two bedrooms and the other near the kitchen and the third bedroom. It was so beautiful to sit and have a cup of coffee on the deck and look out over the water. The final morning the fog rolled in but even that was interesting and burned off mid-morning. The house also has air-conditioning which we found very helpful and refreshing on the hot summer days in July when we were there. The wine themed décor included many empty wine bottles and wine art tastefully decorating the house. We also received a complimentary bottle of wine which we enjoyed for happy hour. Thank you so much, Cynthia, for creating a wonderful retreat for us to enjoy on our vacation. We will definitely be back again next year.

Rosario retreat was lovely, nice, clean and a .perfect place for relaxing between activities

  • 5 of 5

My family from Norway was very satisfied with their stay. When we needed help with a couple of smaller issues Cynthia was easily reached on the phone. We had nine people stay there comfortably, and when one was sick it was a nice ,safe place to leave her behind. Thanks for making the stay in Anacortes so good for the visitors.. Ida ford.
