This private home was built in the 80's with soaring 2-story ceilings in the living room, a formal dining room, a breakfast bar, two large bedrooms and an office with an additional day bed that pulls out and sleeps two. One bedroom has a California King, and the other a Queen. There are two full baths connected to each room with extra plush towels and linens. A private enclosed patio with a gas bbq and outdoor seating extends the living area both indoors and out for entertaining or fresh air. The spacious garage with included remotes control for the electric door features a large front loading washer and dryer to add convenience.

We live 10 minutes away, and make every attempt to meet all guests upon arrival. If we are unable to meet and greet you then there is an electronic coded entry so you can just let yourself in.

Silverlake is the heartbeat of Los Angeles. In the hills with lovely views, a beautiful recreation area surrounding the lake, and wonderful dining and clubs nearby, you might never leave the neighborhood. The are Saturday and Tuesday Farmer's Markets, another Friday market in nearby Echo Park, and a Sunday market in nearby Los Feliz. We are near public golf courses, Kiddie attractions like the Zoo, Pony Rides, Mini Train, and Travel Town. We are s short drive or bus ride to Downtown Los Angeles, or shopping and dining in nearby Glendale.

The 92 Metro Bus stop is a block away, and goes directly downtown Los Angeles via the Music Center, or directly to Glendale and Burbank. Of course you can transfer to other buses or trains for the Valleys, Beaches, or Museums

I am a retired real estate broker in the Silverlake district of Los Angeles. Along with my husband, Lee, we have raised our 3 children here, and they all went to local public schools and universities. I volunteer at the weekly book sale at the Edendale Library and volunteer an an Angelita del Pueblo, the non profit organization that gives free walking tours in the Historic District.

Silverlake registers the heartbeat of Los Angeles, with it's music and creative vibe, it's proximity tow downtown, Hollywood and the Valleys, and easy access to public transportation. If you are a long-term renter with young children you will be happy to know we are walking distance to Clifford Elementary School, a rare Blue-Ribbon School in Los Angeles. If you have multiple cars, there is no off-street parking issues. We have the largest 2-car garage I've ever seen in Los Angeles. And there is an incredible amount of storage space in the garage, basement, and attic.

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
