About this property

WOODED HILLSIDE LAKE HOUSE

A three bedroom cabin with vaulted ceiling in den and large covered porch with stunning tree top views of the lake. Separate wooden deck with table and furniture for grilling and enjoying lake views over the steep, wooded terrain.

Well equipped kitchen, fireplace, Wi-Fi, cable television, and many extras.

Covered dock with boat lift is ideal for fishing, swimming, water skiing or watching a sunset. Over 50 yards of new private sea wall on this secluded wooded hill.

Pets welcome with deposit. No smoking allowed.

Cabin is not suited for toddlers as steep hill and stairs. Two boat trailers is max - deadend turn around difficult for more. Camp is on a hill (which provides a great view) so numerous steps to lake and dock.

Minutes from Pendleton Bridge, grocery store, fishing tackle supplies, boat launches, restaurants, Cypress Bend State Park (golfing, hiking, beaches).

Very Relaxing stay!
Great stay with the family and VERY happy to bring our four legged family members with us as well! House was very clean and we had no problems with anything while we were there. The view over the lake is absolutely beautiful!! The guys also loved being able to clean their fish out on the dock. Removing the carpet in the upstairs bedroom would help for people with allergies, but the new wood laminate floor on the main level was very nice!!

Could be an awesome place. The place was in need of pressure washing badly.
Not a place to bring your wife. Pretty dirty outside. Decks full of debris and spider webs. Inside ok but still dishes dirty and bug tape hanging not a good look. Trash compactor not working bulbs missing from light fixtures. Smoke detector in need of batteries. Just really did not feel clean. Amenities great and basically a fish camp for a large men group. Not a family place.

Beautiful Locations
Very nice older camp / house. The location was awesome. The property needs a little TLC, but overall it did everything we needed it to do. Be careful on Toledo bend, not for the faint of heart.

Awesome Home, Sensational Lake, Not Much to the town.....
The Lake is Sensational!! Local folks are very nice, but not much to offer in the way of attractions, or restaurants; so, "bring friends, & family with you".... :) We drove to Natchitoches on Saturday, which was a nice college town about 45 minutes away.... Enjoy.... Very quiet area...... good for true relaxation.... :)

My family loved the cabin on the lake but my two children have moved to other areas and we no longer use it often. So put Better Knott on rental market so others could have a great family experience at the Lake. I live in Shreveport on a lake with boating so don't get down there often. But love the secluded nature and steep hills on the lake. It is hard to believe this is Louisiana!

Why they chose this property

My son is an avid fisherman who now fishes on the FLW trail. We bought our cabin because of the outstanding fishing on Toledo and the midlake location where he could fish many tournaments. Also where much of the lake is not good for skiing or swimming because of the stumps, Lanan Bay (where Better Knott is located) always has deep water for both. But also very large bay with very limited boat traffic. An ideal spot. Numerous steps lead down to dock from cabin.

What makes this property unique

Sitting in one of the rockers or the recliners with coffee or a sunset cocktail is a peaceful and relaxing experience. A great place for family memories.
