This spacious Home Is A Place For Peace, Rest, And Good Memories.

The Sherwin condo description: ***We ask all of our guests to please respect our home the same way you would want others to respect your own home*** Our condominium has a MINIMUM 14 DAY LEASE REQUIREMENT. Guests may share a two week lease with other guests while maintaining individual responsibilities. Guests can find someone to share the two week period on their own or we can help facilitate this process ensuring that each guest enjoys his/her own personal and private vacation. Please keep in mind that there is only one lease for the two week period. This meets the requirements of our condominium association by-laws which ONLY state that a lease not be less than two weeks. If we choose to help two families connect together in order to share a lease we let our guests know who they are sharing their lease with and help coordinate the two week lease as well as any other vacation needs we can help them with. All our guests MUST agree to this two week lease period.

The Sherwin is a beautiful, securely monitored 19 story beach side building with an indoor climate controlled grand atrium with lighted fountains, onsite management, heated pool with deck, chairs and tables that have optional shade umbrellas, lounge recliner chairs, poolside sunroom with eating area, refrigerator/ice maker and honor library, gas grill and charcoal grill area with table next to the indoor spa, spa/sauna with TV, fitness center with TV, billiard room with TV, plenty of parking for tenants and guests directly in front of building on the upper deck, and 4 high speed elevators.

The Apartment itself is an upscale 3000+ sq./ft. completely tiled unit. Additionally, it has 1500 sq./ft. of private tiled balconies and a wrap around tiled balcony furnished with tables and chairs which provide a panoramic view of the ocean, city and intracoastal waterway(Halifax River).

ALL 4 bedrooms include: adjacent baths. The living room/den has astounding views which are complimented by a mirrored wall, two plush queen sleeper sofas, one love seat sofa, accompanied by two matching sofa chairs with ottomans, three side tables, two coffee tables, a ceiling fan, a 65' HDTV, DVR, DVD, a four place card table, a ten place dining table lighted by a large authentic ship's wheel chandelier, and a large bar with four bar stools and kitchenette. The entire apartment furnishings are new in 2014. All the furniture counter top surfaces have been covered with 1/4 inch glass.

Each bedroom has a view of either the ocean, Halifax River or both.

The master bedroom or Bdr1 includes a king size bed, two end tables with lamps, a dresser with mirror, a chest of drawers, two comfortable sitting chairs with reading table, two wood chairs, a 55' HDTV, a walk-in closet with two additional reading chairs and tables, a sweater chest and additional night stand, a separate vanity/sink area, and private bathroom with a roman tub,sink, and toilet. There are two balconies, one facing the ocean and one facing the river.

The second bedroom or Bdr2 has two single beds, a bedside table/lamp, a dresser/mirror, a large walk-in closet with room enough for a double air mattress that our children when they were young loved sleeping in, a private balcony, and a sensational view of the Halifax river, north and south Daytona city.

The other master bedroom or Bdr3 has a queen size bed and a single bed with trundle, a dresser with mirror, one bedside table with lamp, two chairs, a 55' HDTV, a large walk-in closet with chest of drawers, and a standard closet. This room has a whole wall of floor to ceiling glass facing the ocean with a sliding glass door in the middle that opens up to a large balcony. Wow!!! what a view.

The fourth bedroom or Bdr4 has two single beds, a bedside table with lamp, an occasional table with lamp, and a large mirrored double door closet. This room has a large window with a view of the Halifax river and atrium.

The separate laundry room doubles as a fifth bedroom or Bdr5 and has a single bed with trundle, a bedside table with lamp and beautiful beach/surf pictures. This room is ideal for kids or overflow guests. Has full size W/D.

The kitchen bar with two bar stools connects to the well appointed kitchen that has: a table with four chairs, an induction glass cooktop/convection range, convection microwave, refrigerator with ice maker/dispenser, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster oven, mixer, blender, plenty of cabinets, and all necessary dishes, utensils and cookware!

Daytona events include the Daytona 500 NASCAR race in February, Coke Zero 400 auto race in July, Bike week in March, Biketoberfest in October, and spring/summer college breaks.

IF you desire to visit Orlando, it's about a 45 minute drive away where Florida's theme parks are which include: Disney's Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach water parks; Universal's Studios and Islands of Adventure; Sea World and its water park Aquatica; Holy Land Experience, Gatorland, and nearby Legoland!!

Even closer is a zoo and zip lining in Sanford, manatee viewing in Blue Springs, and many, many professional golf courses. Ponce Inlet and light house are about 6 miles away. There are many boating, fishing, para-sailing and dining experiences to enjoy. Farther South is the Kennedy Space Center and North is historic St. Augustine (a truly beautiful old European style town). Air Boating (you will likely see alligators doing this) is available in the Orlando area as is hot air ballooning, theater, museums, concerts and many outlet and upscale malls! Don't forget the Tiffany glass museum and shopping/dining on Park Avenue in Winter Park near Orlando also!

To get to Daytona Beach Shores, Daytona International Airport is just a few miles away and Orlando International is an hour and a half drive. There is Amtrak train service within an hour or so of Daytona. Having a car is all you'll need to truly experience all that is available in the Daytona area.

We are The McAuley family. My name is Mike and my wife Lea and I live in Crawfordville, Florida. We have 4 children and enjoy being together whenever we can. We also enjoy our friends and meeting new ones all the time. Life is rich when you are surrounded by friends and loved ones no matter where you happen to be. Daily we thank the Lord for all our many blessings. Imagine driving to a destination and then looking in your rear view mirror only to see a sign saying welcome to the destination you were supposed to be driving to. In short, you missed your destination. Many people go through life and miss their destination by not humbling themselves before the Lord and receiving his blessings.

Why Mike McAuley chose Daytona Beach Shores

Our Apartment is one of only a few 4 bedroom condo's in the area plus we added a trundle bed in the large laundry room for overflow guests. Gathering together in one place able to accommodate a large family or multiple families is nice and unique. Our condo has spectacular views and 1500 sq/ft of balconies. The apartment also has 2 separate central ht./air conditioning units. The Sherwin condominium is special because it is extremely well maintained with a on-site manager and maintenance personnel. Few condo's on the strip have 4 high speed elevators like the Sherwin does and this matters when you don't like waiting. The types of people that own and rent the apartments at the Sherwin are diverse in many ways but have consistently been very friendly and very interesting to meet. You can not help but feel safe when you are in the building as the security cameras are everywhere and the keyed doors stay locked at all times. The amenities in the building are numerous. There is ample parking for renters, friends and guests on the outside upper front deck. There is a very large custom concrete swimming pool overlooking the ocean and beach. Walking on the white sand beach just makes your feet feel good. My family and I enjoy many of the events that are scheduled every week all year long. There is always something to see and something to do for every age. My wife and I have been coming to Daytona Beach since we were kids and have a lifetime of good memories in there. Our children, now adults, are carrying on the legacy of good times in Daytona Beach. Daytona represents to me an ongoing, never ending place to take enjoyable and relaxing vacations.

What makes this condo unique

Vacations are always therapeutic. Just rest & relax. Oh the beach !!! Try the message salon across the street next to the ace hardware store . it's incredible.

Great views!

I can not express how beautiful the property is. The magnificent windows views through the living room/dining room floor to ceiling windows. Mike is great to work with. If I did another family vacation again I would definitely contact Mike!

Amazing View & Outstanding Ower

First of all, the view from this condo is amazing!

The owner, Mike, made himself readily available to answer questions & deal with any unforeseen issues with the condo. He was more than accommodating.

This condo provides easy access to the beach & pool.

I like that there is a lifeguard post right outside the condo. It made me feel more comfortable with when the kids were playing in the ocean.

The condo has a great pool - which never seemed to be crowded. We visited the pool nearly every day during our 2 week stay & never had a problem getting lounge chairs. Most of the time, we were the only people using the pool.

There was also plenty of parking (we've stayed in other condos near Daytona where parking was hard to find).

I have no complaints about our stay - everything was great.

If possible, I'd give more than 5 stars!

I will definitely be renting from Mike again in the future!

The property is beautiful and was great for our family. We loved that the condo is on a quiet part of the beach. We had an issue when we checked in and Mike was very responsive. We got everything resolved quickly. It was a wonderful vacation!

Minimum two week lease. However, two guests can be on one lease with a cleaning period of 6 hours in the middle of the lease. Due to the owners medical conditions, absolutely no pets including medical animals shall be allowed. Also, no smoking is permitted in the apartment or the building. Owner requires proof of Ins. for damage protection up to $3,000. which can be obtained for appox. $79. through CSA Travel Protection at (877) 880-0975. The initial $1,500.00 covers the $250. initial damage fee which is conditionally refundable. Tenants are expected to leave the apartment clean which includes washing all dirty dishes and putting them up, sweeping floors, vacuuming, or mopping up personal mess. Our housekeeping is for basic cleaning, wiping, washing sheets and towels, and remaking the beds. There will be additional charges for cleaning extreme mess and food debris left behind. Cleaning fees are doubled if additional cleaning is required. THIS HOME IS NOT A MOTEL ROOM. If the condition of the apartment is deemed to have been damaged or causes a cancellation for the next guest due to the inability of cleaning or repairing damages in time to rent the apartment then the tenant shall be held responsible for all damages as well as the loss of rent. As of Aug., 2014 we have not had any serious problems with our guests. Owner reserves the right to cancel any reservation if deemed necessary due to extreme circumstances.
