Why Brian Ament chose Pennsylvania

I chose to purchase this property because of the location, then I created a masterpiece of a home, that fits into the surroundings.

What makes this cottage unique

The property intreged me and let my imagination run wild. With its surreal surroundings, the sounds of water in the background all while being secluded in a woodland environment. This property is an extremely rare find!

Very cozy cottage

  • 5 of 5

This is a very cozy place. All the conveniences you would hope for, and so close to dozens of great hiking trails. The beautiful shores of the Susguehanna River are about an hours hike away, depending on your hiking skill. It is quite scenic. The fire pit was put to use every night. The fish pond was very relaxing. The hammock out back difficult to resist. I would recommend this cottage to anyone longing to see the beauties of Lancaster County.

A Most Relaxing Vacation!! July 2017

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a 5 day stay at Brian's cottage and were sad to leave this private, peaceful retreat! The cottage itself is wonderful and cozy. It's well-designed with an open floor-plan and high ceilings, making the interior appear much larger the stated 900 sq. ft. We we especially pleased with the open floor design. My husband is a recent leg-amputee; we were so happy to be able to enjoy this vacation with him--he had no problems navigating inside and outside. Our family of 3 had more than enough room; I imagine 6 could be easily accommodated. We made breakfast and lunch in the well-equipped kitchen. Our 5 year old was beyond excited to play the Wii.

The outdoor living area is spacious and just beautifully landscaped. My husband enjoyed grilling (nice gas grill). We spent a lot of time outdoors, just relaxing while our son explored. Each night we built a campfire and roasted marshmallows. Great memories we will cherish.

As for the surrounding areas, my son and I hiked both blue trails at Tucquan Glen--literally a 2 minute walk from the house. Also visited the Pinnacle Overlook. There are many more parks and trails to visit.

We live outside of Philadelphia and have already visited the traditional tourist sites, such as Dutch Wonderland and Hershey Park. For us, this was a perfect get-away from our hectic medical practice. A gem we are happy to have stumbled upon. We looking forward to returning!!

Many Blessings,

April, Blaine, & Silas

Everything about this place is perfect!

  • 5 of 5

I met a doe and a fawn in the short driveway on my last morning. They were making their way to the nearby creek. A few minutes later I was driving into town and passed an Amish girl in a one-person buggy pulled by a shaggy pony. This is a beautiful and quiet spot. I also appreciated how clean and well-appointed the cottage is. Amidst the natural beauty it takes a minute to notice how appealing the cottage is all by it self. If you moved it anywhere else it would still be a fun property to be in.
