In the galley kitchen, right off of the living room, you'll have all the necessities needed to cook up a big breakfast of steak and eggs or a simple lunch with homemade soup and salad. If you you decide to enjoy the warm summer nights outside on the patio, use the charcoal grill for a meal of burgers and hot dogs.

At night, take advantage of one of the two comfortable bedrooms, one with a king-sided bed and the other with a queen. This house also has one full bathroom with a stand-up shower as well as a half-bath. And for keeping everyone clean and dry, there's even a washer and dryer.

About Vacasa, CA - Northern California Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental managementthings like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

amazing getaway

  • 5 of 5

I took my husband to this quaint little cabin in the woods for a 4 day retreat away from all the hustle and bustle. what a perfect spot to get away. the views are amazing. it wasn't Whale season but we saw a whale in the distance. I could only imagine watching during season. We fully enjoyed the property. never turned on the TV's, relaxed in the hot tub, BBQ'd some nights, warmed up by the wood burning stove and had the most fabulous 4 days. There is so much to do if you are looking for adventure... Elk has a cute Market and quaint pub. Fort Bragg and Mendocino are so close and fun to visit. the beach down below was beautiful and nice to explore. If you just want some R&R this is the place. I hope to come back sometime in the near future.

Rustic, Secluded Cabin with Modern Amenities - Perfect Romantic Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Safe at Anchor was our temporary home for 4 nights during our honeymoon. Having never experienced the West Coast, it was the perfect environment to enjoy nature and the views. The view of the ocean through the bay window was phenomenal, and we couldn't have imagined a better location for our honeymoon. It was wonderful to go "off the grid," and we didn't mind the lack of cell phone service. The internet worked flawlessly, so we were still able to communicate when needed. If you are looking for a quiet, cozy, romantic getaway, this is the spot!

Secluded gem

  • 5 of 5

Wow! What a great find. This cabin is secluded and has an awesome view of the ocean which is about a quarter mile in the distance. There are a few other houses nearby, but unless you're outside on the driveway, you'd never know it. When you're in the cabin or out on the deck or in the hot tub, it is just you, the trees and the ocean. Nearby Albion and Elk are quaint little towns with a few shops and restaurants. Awesome and relaxing retreat.

Simple yet relaxing

  • 4 of 5

The house is set in the most tranquil setting amongst the forest with a lovely water view. The house is simple and for the most part, comfortable. Don't expect any frills here, but in that way, it is easy and low-maintenance. The hot tub is a plus and is perfect for chilly fall evenings. If sleeping in the lower bedroom, definitely use the space heater because it can get very cold in there. All in all a pleasant stay in a gorgeous area of Northern California

A peaceful place surrounded by trees and nature.

  • 4 of 5

Safe at Anchor is a lovely, rustic little house where you can come to meditate, write a book or just unwind. It is somewhat secluded though there are a few houses nearby...you just don't see them or hear noise from them.

The hot tub has a lovely water view which you can enjoy morning, noon or at night. It is a special place to go by yourself or with a special person.
