About Vacasa, CA - Northern California Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental managementthings like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a websitecould be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Toxic cleaning supplies used

 • 1 of 5

We have been VACASA customers for years now and visited The Beach House 5 or 6 Times. It has always been excellent until this last time. The air was filled with air freshener and cleaning supplies smell. When we could not air it out after half an hour we called VACASA telling them we could not stay here. The head of house cleaning arrived and she agreed. We went home and after two days were called and told it was aired out enough we could come back. We received NO money back and though we were scheduled to stay for four nights they would NOT even split the difference.

Loved the light and bright upstairs area with ocean view

 • 4 of 5

Home is well suited for one or two couples. Owners have created a very homey feel to the place. Verizon cell service was only 1x so we really appreciated internet and also the landline. Very convenient to both Mendocino and Fort Bragg. Easy walk from the home to the Cabrillo Lighthouse off of Vega St. which is off of So Caspar. I think the gas stove probably heats the home sufficiently in moderate weather, but not so good in the chillier temperatures. Takes forever to get the home warm if your gone all day and keep gas stove off until you get home. Would also be a good idea if the housekeeping paid a little more attention to more deep cleaning, tile floors, rugs, carpet and furniture were pretty dirty.

February Memories

 • 5 of 5

My husband, another couple, and I were pleased to be staying in your cozy coastal home! We enjoyed walking, dining out, cooking and seeing the sights...I wish it were able to accommodate my family...We opted not to bring our lil dog... he was happy to stay with the neighbors at home.

We will come back soon I hope and definitely recommend your Vacasa to our friends.

Great, comfortable location for both Mendocino and Fort Bragg

 • 4 of 5

I am always happy to find a well-kept pleasant home that allows pets. We were two couples and one small dog. The house was in a nice location in an area with good separation between houses that I had never seen despite many trips to the Fort Bragg area. There were two deer in the yard when we arrived and they returned each evening. There was a small herd of 7 deer that passed by as well. And a flock of huge turkeys! You can see the ocean and hear the breaking waves and barking sea lions from the house. It was just a short walk to the headlands and a magnificent ocean view. In the other direction you find Casper State Beach with surfers and waders enjoying the sandy beach. The house has two living areas with a bed, bath, and sitting room upstairs and down...good for sharing. The upstairs living room was bright and sunny with a nice view. The kitchen was well equipped and would be good for a longer stay. The most difficult thing was finding the house. The street numbers are difficult to see (and we arrived in the daylight). The blue door in the picture faces away from the street so does not help. The front of the house looks more like a wall of glass when you drive by. Some renters are not picking up after their pets, or maybe there are coyotes passing by. In any case, the situation should be corrected. Overall, very enjoyable and I appreciated being able to stay here. Thanks to the owners.
