It's located near the beach. Five minutes walking to a nice white sand beach and ten drive to a nearest grocery store. Has access to the lake thru the backyard but the water is really shallow because there is work being repaired to the dam. The house configure is strange. It's like two separate houses and a studio; they're not connected - you have to walk out side to go to the other part of the house. It's an old house and not well maintained. Also the carpet is dirty and dust is everywhere. Large size backyard with a fire pit to sit around at night time.
Space was great. Lots of room and with 3 different units, people could also have privacy. Extremely large back yard with a great fire pit. Very short, easy walk to beach. Each of the 3 units were clean and well stocked with linens, toiletries, dishes, etc. Furniture was comfortable. Biggest disappointment was that there was no water in the lake.
-This poor rating is for the vacasa staff, as well as the home, which needs so many updates. The incredible lack of communication led to a ton of headaches checking in. Not only were our reservations cancel without our knowledge, no attempt was made to contact us and solve the problem. We received our confirmation and check in info, and arrived at the house to find in already occupied.
-We were only given one lockbox code and there were actually two boxes, with two different codes and had to wait over an hour for someone to come let us in.
-This property no longer has lake access. The lake has receded, making the boats are useless unless your able to haul them down the street.
-The family sized table is upstairs, with a non-functional kitchen. To access the main kitchen you have to go outside and downstairs. The main kitchen only has a table for 4.
-Three bathrooms. Not a single shower mat.
-One shower shoots water at the ceiling and will not drain unless you hold the lever up, the other sits on a non level floor, making it very slippery. The third shower is nice, but is missing half of the caulking at the floor.
-The floors of the entire house are uneven. Walking down the hall you walk down, up, down, then back up again. Sitting on the toilet you sit at an angle.
-One exterior wall is completely covered in water staining.
-Someone used a roller to repaint the purple room, but didn't take the time to paint up to the white trim. The previous color shows all around the ceiling and floor trim.
-There are missing light ceiling fixtures as well as a broken lamp, with the broken pieces still laying on the dresser.
-Missing door knob in one bathroom.
-One kitchen cabinet door will not stay closed.
-Tiles on the kitchen counter are uneven and lifting.
-Portable dishwasher does not get dishes clean. We ended up hand washing everything.
-This house could be a nice vacation home, but in my opinion is not in good enough condition to be considered a vacation rental property.
-The beach at the end of the road is beautiful, but we will not be renting this home or any other vacasa home in the future.
I traveled with my family of four from Nevada and invited friends and family to the coast to help me celebrate. The Vacasa staff were professional during phone conversations and did all they could to answer my questions, clear up any confusion on my part and were courteous at all times.
The property was beautiful, great views and location. Could have been slightly cleaner but this didn't interfere with our stay.
We had 7 adults and 6 kids for a weekend at the beach and found the house to be a bit confusing in layout, but also able to accommodate everyone fairly well for a reasonable price. The house was in a great location, and while we were not quite brave enough to try out the canoe and boats (especially with little kids), we did enjoy the outdoors and the large "caribou" room. There were a few issues with the house that could easily be improved for future guests comfort, but overall, it worked for our group.
