Clean and easy to access. Place was nice and very open, but was basic in what it provided. Would be great if the owners would put in a fireplace.
Great place to stay in Ridgway Colorado. Close to Telluride and everything the area has to offer. Great location
Thank you for being dog friendly! Very clean studio, lots of windows, light and open, really comfortable chairs to watch TV (you cannot view the TV from the beds, and there are only two chairs, even though it sleeps four). A DVD player would have been a great addition. A nice collection of area information on the table. Within walking distance to pretty much anything - all the good restaurants and walking trails. Beds are comfy, have high thread count sheets, great pillows, and down comforters....but my bed had no nightstand OR lamp, so if you like to read in bed, you are out of luck. There was plenty of room for a tall lamp to have been placed there, so maybe one will be added. Although you might consider RIdgway a sleepy, low-key town, there is actually a lot of road noise, since the studio is directly on the main road (this road is the only way to get to Telluride from anywhere between Ridgway and Denver). It was nearly constant, included motorcycles and construction trucks, and also started very early on Saturday morning. By turning the fan on the air conditioning unit and having it run constantly through the night, you are able to muffle the road noise quite a bit. Other than road noise, it is a very quiet building. What could be improved? We were a bit mystified at the lack of a place to hang clothes (no closet!), and there were also no luggage racks provided to put suitcases on. Frankly, I have no idea what four people would do - I used one of the kitchen table chairs for my suitcase. There are dressers...but what about rain jackets, coats, leashes, hats, purses, etc? There is a huge empty wall when you walk in that is the perfect place for a long rack with hooks. It would have been really helpful to have had that, so stuff wasn't thrown everywhere. We also realized we were provided one roll of toilet paper, no kleenex at all, and one half of a roll of paper towels (and one half of a roll under the sink). We had to go to the grocery store to get kleenex. We travel a lot and a box of kleenex is pretty standard, so I think housekeeping needs a bit of work on stocking enough of the essentials. Overall this is the perfect place for two...I think four would really struggle due to lack of seating, and lack of a closet or hooks for hanging stuff.
Nice spacious condo in the heart of Ridgway. Beds were very comfortable, the condo was large and clean and the location was great. Only a few drawbacks- very low pressure in the shower and missing little things like shampoo + conditioner and coffee for extra days. We stayed 4 nights and there was only coffee for one - never refilled. Also, the owner/mgr got the dates wrong and almost didn't have a room for us. He told me I was lucky he had an empty room he could put us in. I don't think I would have worded it that way seeing as how he was the one wrong about the dates but in the end we had a place to stay and it was pretty nice.
Great place to stay. Everything provided in kitchen area. Has an elevator or stair to the lofts. Wonderful owner.....
while staying at Ridgeway Lofts we ate at Kate's Place, Taco Del Gnar and Colorado Boy Pub and Brewery. For fun we visited Dennis Weaver Memorial Park (gentle hikes), Ouray for retail therapy and brew pub, and spent the day at Orvis Hot Springs. Serious fun for our anniversary. Tate communicated very well and responded quickly to our requests. We would certainly return.
