Kick back and relax in our newly remodeled condo located directly on Marco Beach. Our 5th floor condo has an unobstructed beach view and beautiful sunset views. The Apollo is located on the desirable south end of the island and is within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and spas.
The Apollo offers private beach access, covered parking, 24 hour security, a large heated pool, a hot tub, tennis courts, a fitness room, and The Sunset Grille - a beachfront restaurant and bar.
This condo is 1 bedroom, 1 bath with a fully equiped kitchen. There is a king bed in the recently updated master bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room. Flatscreen TV's with cable and DVD players are in both the living room and bedroom. Also included are DVDs, books, and board games, plus free internet and free local and long distance calls. The kitchen has been completely remodeled and has everything you need to cook a home cooked meal. Don't feel like cooking? Just take an elevator ride down to the Sunset Grille and enjoy dinner on the patio overlooking the beach. We've also included extras like beach towels, a hair dryer, and beach chairs. The bathroom has also been completely updated with a walk-in tile shower.
There are many activities available on Marco Island, such as fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing, shelling, and dolphin watching. In the mornings, dolphins tend to hang out on the south end of the island just in front of the Apollo and you can view them from the lanai of the condo. You can also visit uninhabited islands nearby for great shelling, or just to relax. Also within short driving distance you can enjoy world-class shopping and restaurants in Naples, the Naples Zoo, the Everglades (airboat rides available), numerous golf courses, mini cruises, excursions, and fishing charters.
We fell in love with the island on our first visit, and we hope you will enjoy it as much as we have.
My husband and I use VRBO periodically. While planning our first trip to Marco Island, we came across the Apollo condo building. After reviewing our choices, we chose #508 based on the kitchen and bathroom updates, the general attractiveness of the unit and the rates. We were happy to find the condo as it had been portrayed on VRBO. Everything was clean and orderly, which is very important to us. We spent 11 nights at the condo and prepared the majority of our meals in the kitchen rather than eating out. It was lovely to sit on the balcony and eat dinner while watching the sunset. We found the initial contact with the owners to be easy and straightforward. We also found the check-in procedures to be easily understood. We appreciated the designated covered parking spot for our car as well as the security that the Apollo offers. We loved the easy walk to the beach as well as to nearby shops and restaurants. I have a few minor suggestions to make future stays even better for your guests. It would be worthwhile to invest in the Tommy Bahama chairs (recently saw them for $20.00 each at Sam's Club in Colorado) as they are so much easier to use than anything we found in the storage closet. The existing tri-fold, lounge chairs are okay, but bulky to carry to the beach. The existing sand-type chairs sit very low to the ground and are not comfortable. Also, a small cooler and a small blue ice packet would be great to bring drinks to the beach, instead of the medium/large coolers in the storage unit. Of course, if you provide the Tommy Bahama chairs, each chair has its own "cooler" compartment which makes the need for another cooler obsolete. If it were my rental condo, I would invest in some better quality bed pillows and linens. The shell pattern sheets we used felt worn. In the kitchen, I would provide dishwasher detergent, sufficient dish soap (we had to buy more), trash bags for the kitchen/bathroom, a pizza cutter, a pizza pan, additional silverware, and a can opener that works properly. In the bathroom, I would provide a soap dish next to the sink. Lastly, make sure the shower drains properly. The first time we showered, the shower floor was rapidly filling with water due to a slow-moving drain. My husband used the plunger to resolve the problem. Overall, you have a very nice condo that is clean and inviting. I have already referred several friends. We look forward to doing business with you again in the future!
The condo was very nice and had a great view right onto the beach and sunset. We felt very secure there with the separate keys to the entrance, elevator and pool area. The owner also let us stay an extra hour even though we ended up leaving on time, it was a nice gesture. The only slight negative was that water pooled around feet when taking a shower and it took a long time to drain. Otherwise, everything else was great and appreciated the use of the beach chairs and umbrella. The place was clean and decorated beautifully. If staying in September, please note that a lot of the restaurants were closed for vacation or renovations, but if you called first, you could find a restaurant. We loved CJ's for dinner, they had a band playing there as well and the beach really is all seashells, great for anyone who collects them.
Loved staying in this condo. The views were amazing. I was visiting my friend from college who lives in Naples and often travels to Marco and even she couldn't believe how good of a view this condo had. Being able to sit on the balcony and watch the Dolphins play, thunderstorms as the passed by and sunsets were unforgettable. Everything you would need for a vacation this condo has. The owners have done a great job of making everything accessible to their renters. I highly recommend this condo for your next vacation!
Loved our stay. Great view of the Gulf and beach with easy access to the beach and all beach gear supplied. FYI, when you set up the beach umbrella, use the AQUA drill NOT the white one. All other amenities for staying at the condo were provided. All you have to do is stock up on groceries. We will be back!
We loved watching the sunset and the dolphins from the balcony. Couldn't ask for a better view. Loved the updated bathroom.
We loved the condo on Marco Island! The location is perfect and the beach view is perfect! We really appreciated the beach chairs and toys too. The Apollo staff is very friendly and helpful too. Marco Island is a stress free place full of enjoyable, happy people! We want to come back!
