The new light filled English basement studio (approx. 340 sq. ft.) is a great budget alternative to a hotel stay. The unit is equipped with top of the line compact kitchen appliances (a dishwasher, air hood, electric cook-top, a microwave/oven combo, and food disposal), solid maple kitchen cabinets and granite counter-tops; tiled bathroom with full bathtub and Grohe faucets, oak hardwood floors, recessed lighting, individually controlled AC/heating and its own full-size new laundry facility. The unit features a bright entry foyer for your coats and luggage which can be also used as a breakfast area with a glass door overlooking landscaped planters (the patio area beyond the studio summer lobby belongs to the main house).
It is a drive-in unit which includes a fully enclosed garage with an automatic door. The garage (fit for a regular sized sedan/crossover but not an SUV, max parking volume 67'H*130'W*187'L) also provides additional storage space and contains a private laundry facility and the full-size second fridge, which makes the unit an ideal vacation residence for car owners who wish to have easy access to their home while exploring DC area by car.

Fine for my needs. Nice walk to Connecticut Avenue and near National Zoo. Saved parking fees.
Not a terrible value for the costs (particularly in Spring when hotels are very expensive in DC)
First impressions make a large impact. The space is not as bright as the photo would imply and the bathroom baseboards were filled with dust and hair. The wall could use a paint job and the bed needs a new mattress. As a woman traveling alone it was not optimal to have to walk up a back alley way to enter a code into a garage door which then provides access to the space. In addition, when offering toiletries it is essential to provide those items as my luggage had been lost in transit and I really depended on what was stated since there was a long walk to the convenience store to buy even basic items. With a little sprucing up this place could be quite nice. And the value was fair based on hotel costs in the area.
Dear Guest, thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you found our studio to be a good value for your trip. The studio will undergo some furniture and painting updates this month. We will also make sure that our cleaning crew is more thorough and checks inside the furniture
Great DC location w parking
The studio apartment is just like the pictures. Very clean and located in a very walkable location. Highly recommend.
This location was extremely convenient to the Marriott where my work conference took place. The unit is functional with most of the basics offered. The email welcoming me to the unit stated there would be conditioner, soap, body lotion, and shower gel, however, those items were missing, as were the batteries from one of the remotes. The bed could also use a memory foam topper as the mattress seemed like maybe it was older. I really appreciated the clarity of entry instructions. The washer and dryer, and the ironing board and iron, are very welcome amenities for the business traveler. Thanks for a great stay!
The apartment was clean and comfortable the entryway provided a lot of room for our luggage.
Our overall experience was very enjoyable. We appreciated the convenient and secure parking. Although the parking garage was very tight. Although the studio is very small, it suited our needs quite well. Overall experience was very positive. The only thing we would recommend would be a new mattress pad. The current mattress is very firm.
This place was just as advertised. Here are the stand-out features: It is about a 7 minute walk to the National Zoo! It is only a little further to the Columbia Heights Metro station. It has a garage! We parked the car in the garage and saw the city walking and using the metro. The living space is small, but there is a nice little room between the garage and the studio which it a great place to send a child to play, or to escape to and check you email in peace. The owners will provide the wifi password if you ask them to after you check in.
