Why Layne and Yolanda McNee chose Idaho

My property is approximately 2 miles from the pools. We are far enough away from town to enjoy nature and peace and quiet but close enough that its easy to go and enjoy all Lava has to offer. This is a great property for reunions and large get togethers.

What makes this cabin unique

Placed on a 3 acre piece with a creek and nature just out the back door. Enjoy the scenery while barbecuing on the grills or having a hotdog aroung the fire.

Nice cabin with great amenities

  • 4 of 5

We were so pleased with this darling cabin for our first family trip to Lava Hot Springs. We took our 4

Kids including 2 teenagers and two 10 year olds. The house had plenty of room for us. The king-sized bed was so nice for my husband and I, and my twins shared the double bed in the other bedroom. There was also a futon in that room that wasn't used. Our teenagers decided they preferred the couches in the family room so they could watch movies on the tv with DVD player. The kitchen was fully stocked and the washer/dryer was a huge plus for us after days of river rafting and soaking at the pool and hot springs. The only issue we had was some ants and earwigs, but they had even left bug spray under the kitchen cabinet which took care of that. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to make this an annual trip for our family.

OK stay

  • 3 of 5

The location of the property was perfect, not too far from Lava for our family reunion. The cabin was good size and I was really glad they had a full kitchen. There were a few things that I would suggest to the owners. The smell of pine sol was so strong when entering the cabin that we had to open the windows and try and air it out. I appreciate the attempt at cleanliness but maybe use something with not as strong of odor. The cabin could have used better towels, although the bathroom was clean and the shower was great. The last thing was the fact that we were finding ticks and earwigs in the cabin constantly which was a little concerning. Other than that the cabin served our purposes for this weekend.

It was great to come back to

The cabin after such a fun and exhausting day. It felt like home away from home and it was peaceful. It was great to have a full kitchen with necessities and a fire pit at the end of the night.

Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

What an excellent place for a little getaway. The location is great...within 5 minutes of all the fun activities in Lava Hot Spring, yet we felt like we were "camping" in the mountains. The cabin is super charming and has everything you need, except bring your own paper plates and plastic utensils. There is even wood provided (for a small fee) for the campfire. It was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Owner Yolanda lives just down the road and is very responsive and pleasant. We loved it and definitely will be coming back again!!

Wonderful Experience!

  • 5 of 5

The cabins were perfect for our family get away! We rented both cabins and had more than enough room for the 14 of us. They were VERY comfortable and the big grassy area was great for the kids to run around and play on. We will definitely be staying here again! Thanks for such a great experience!
