This waterfront home is a gem at the back of Hunter Springs. With almost 10 springs, this property is set up with its own natural swimming pool. Enough room to tie your boat off at the waterfront part of the property. Crystal Cove is walking distance to multiple attractions around the Crystal River area, including Manatee tours, Paddleboard and Kayak rentals, a winery, local pubs, restaurants, antique shops, and the Historical Downtown Crystal River. Without even having to get in your car, you are close to just about everything. This house has 4 bedrooms each with their own bathroom. It's a great getaway for big families, or even just a couples' night getaway. Pete's Pier is within 1.5 mile from Crystal Cove making it easy to get your boat in the water and ready for fun! The Cross Town trail is across the street from the house. Scalloping is a huge attraction for this area. If you've never gotten a chance to scallop, it's really something you should experience. There are plenty of local fishing charters in this area, along with tournaments that are held yearly. Everything about this house will make the perfect vacation for anyone. Scallop season begins July 1st, so start booking before there is no more room! We are pet friendly, and family friendly as well. Please feel free to contact me, Chelsea the manager, and I would be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
My name is Chelsea, and I've been working to make Crystal Cove Bed and Breakfast a comfortable, sought out destination, since January 2014. Now owning my own business has becoming a reality. This property is at the back of Hunter Springs and is absolutely gorgeous, so naturally I want to be able to share it with everyone. I've lived in the area for over 15 years, so I am familiar with Citrus County. This is how the idea for the B&B came about. I'm a hard worker and have worked in the service industry for many years. I love being by the water, seeing wildlife, and making sure the people around me are as happy as I am.
Chelsea Brockway purchased this house in 2013
This property in Crystal River offers peace, tranquility, and solitude, and I fell in love the first time I saw it. I want to be able to show visitors to this location just how amazing it is. Not only does the outside surroundings have more than enough to offer, this house has a pool table, dart board, built in bar, wifi and, cable TV. Being outdoors you have a chance to see manatees up close. It's great for fishing, and prime for anyone who loves scalloping. Or, if you're just a nature lover, you can actually see the springs bubbling in the our personal cove. The view here is truly spectacular, and something you will love.
I fell in love with this property simply from the view from the living room. The living room has windows across the whole water view. The water is crystal clear and 72 degrees year round, which makes it a home for manatees and their young. The day before Valentines Day, 2014, I took pictures of 28 manatees in the cove on the property. It really is awe-inspiring to see these gentle giants in their natural habitat.
We stayed at Chelsea's house for the Memorial Day weekend and even though there were 8 of us and 3 dogs it felt very spacious. It is a great house to have a reunion or just a get together. It is well equipped and has everything you need to have a relaxing stay. Everything was immaculate down to the backyard which had an awesome fire pit which we were even able to BBQ some ribs on. We even were lucky enough to see a manatee eating right off the dock. We will definitely return in the future. Everyone had a great time especially the dogs.
We had a great weekend wit the extended family for Dad's 70th birthday celebration. Felt like we were in our own home on the water. Chelsea had plenty of firewood ready for the unseasonably cold weather during our stay. Kids are already asking for a return trip.
Seven Adults (7!) and a Boxer fit comfortably into the BEAUTIFUL home. 4 Bedrooms and 3 full baths! Canoes, kayaks, paddle boards and MANATEES! A fire pit at night! Thanks, Chelsea, for making our holiday wishes come true!
The Crystal Cove Bed and Breakfast (as it is officially known) is located at one of the most unique places I can think of, on one of the springs of Northern Florida, feeding into the Crystal River. There are few places in the world where you can get up, get your coffee, and sit down either in the sun filled living room or out on the lawn or dock, and watch manatees. The house itself is very comfortable and clean; the open layout of the downstairs makes it a very social place, great for reunions. It is an older house, but it has new finishes everywhere. Chelsea, the manager, was very attentive, a text or phone call away for whatever you needed. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. And that water.....the incredible water outside! Chelsea arranged for kayaks and a canoe, which were waiting for us. All we had to do was slip then into the water in the spring near the carport and away we went. We saw numerous manatees during our stay over Thanksgiving, both from the boats and swimming (we didn't have to book a tour to get to swim near manatees!) Even in November, it is possible to swim without a wetsuit - the water temp is a constant 72 degrees (which is why the manatees come in for the winter). It is brisk at first, but after half a minute it is very comfortable. We just loved this place and plan on going back for our next Thanksgiving. Crystal River is NOT the place to go if fine dining is what you are after, though there are lots of pleasant restaurants. This is the place to go if you love the water, and need a retreat for your soul.
Our stay at this lovely bed and breakfast was amazing!!! The owners went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable and memorable. We had such an amazing time seeing the manatees and swimming in House Springs, which is located steps from their back door. We enjoyed using the fire pit, on their nicely landscaped property; it was a great and relaxing way to end our evening and stay. The inside of the house is gorgeous and clean and we had an excellent night's sleep in the comfortable bed and room we stayed in. The hostess was very friendly and gave us great advice on things-to-do in the area; some, of which, are in walking distance of the bed and breakfast. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast and we look forward to returning.
