Photos and Description of this 1 bedroom holiday home in Sequim - GreenHouse Inn by the Bay

Bed and Breakfast featuring en suite rooms with views.

The GreenHouse Inn by the Bay is a premier, oceanfront Bed & Breakfast near the Olympic National Park. We enjoy serving those who appreciate terrific mountain and ocean views, great food, drink, outdoor activities such as hiking in a national forest, kayaking and birding in the protected waters of the Dungeness Bay and on into the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and biking the Discovery Trail through farm and lavender fields and more with like-minded people.

Our goal at the GreenHouse Inn by the Bay bed and breakfast is to ensure you appreciate your time here and have a positive, memorable experience.

Expect to be well fed at breakfast, and well rested and warmed by the heat that is generated from the sunny greenhouse and the multiple fireplaces. You will be provided with a hearty – locally sourced -breakfast and lots of delicious coffee and tea. An evening wine and other beverages reception will prepare you with the information you will need for your stay and an opportunity to learn more about the history of the Inn and the Dungeness Community. Be sure and preview the optional World of Wine package to explore old and new world wines with Michele (a Certified Sommelier).

The Inn is designed with your desired level of independence and individual needs in mind – from a flexible self-serve hosted breakfast to the ability to grab an early morning cup of coffee from a small private kitchen when you rise (even before you, or whoever, are presentable!).

Multiple relaxing spaces are available for curling up with a book, enjoying a quiet cup of tea or spotting birds and deer from the window. Access to the all-season greenHouse adds another sensory element to your stay.

Come to the GreenHouse Inn by the Bay and 'escape the everyday.'

Top Notch

This location while compatible with all in the party, 40 year old son, and parents, 65 and 64, proved "Perfect." Craig and Michele were gracious hosts. Dungeness Bay is directly across the property, although the cliffs are protected land (and dangerous), public access is a simple stride down the street. Breakfast was perfectly made with local ingredients and very flavorful. A stay at the Greenhouse Inn is highly recommended for any Northern Olympic Peninsula travelers. Graham's.

Want to go back!!!

Really pretty place to stay across the street from Dungeness Bay! Craig and Michelle are very friendly and hospitable hosts, and make wonderful breakfast with locally sourced fruits and veggies. Much of it came from their yard and greenhouse garden, which is fun to walk through. Our room was very nice, comfortable and spotless, with a lovely view of the bay. Wonderful locally-made lavender bath products set a relaxing mood. We definitely recommend this place, and hope to come back!

Great hosts who treat you like family.

I have stayed in some nicer rooms, but this place was still very nice and clean. The hosts and the great breakfasts make this a five star place though. They were very helpful with helping us with restaurant choices and other things to do in Sequim.

Most importantly, we felt like family when we were there, not intruders (which is a natural way to feel at some B&Bs.

A great place with even greater people.

The Greenhouse Inn is a quintessential lodging option of Sequim and the Dungeness Bay, the Greenhouse Inn offers the wanted relaxation while being close enough for any northern peninsula excursion.

The Greenhouse Inn is a fabulous get away nestled right by the picturesque Dungeness Bay. The Bayview East room offered the perfect balance of comfort and tranquillity. The views from the large windowed room are great and waking up to the sunrise is pretty unforgettable.

The property offers great public space to talk with the hosts and other guests. You'll find yourself walking through the onsite greenhouse with a child like curiosity. The location is close enough for a trip into town for a great meal or to shop around, yet far enough away you see very little traffic.

Highly recommended and we plan to continue visiting in the future.

Hospitality plus+++

My husband and I were visiting Sequim because we are considering a move there when we retire. Michelle and Craig were welcoming and hospitable hosts and we felt like we were visiting friends rather than staying at an anonymous VRBO. The view from our room was beautiful and the sounds of the surf lulled us to sleep. We went for an evening walk along Marine Drive and saw a couple of eagles roosting in a tree nearby. Thanks to Craig and Michelle for making us feel so welcome in your home. Can't wait to visit again.

Got an afternoon?

Stroll along Marine Drive from the Inn, watch ships pass by and seals & sea birds thrive in Dungeness Bay. Visit neighboring lavender farms & the nearby country store featuring products from local fields.

Visit downtown Sequim for scouting treasures in the many specialty shops and galleries. Drive to the Olympic Game Farm at 1423 Ward Road and enjoy the residents as they live out their “golden years” in a nice wooded setting.

Visit the Railroad Bridge Park on the Dungeness River and enjoy nature and a picnic just a few miles from Sequim on 5th Avenue and Hendrickson Road – links with Discovery Trail.

Kayak just steps away from the Inn on the scenic Dungeness Bay. Launch from Cline Spit and be on your way in minutes.

Bike the Discovery Trail and go for miles...130 eventually.

A close by option is to join the trail at the Sequim State Part on Highway 101 and bike towards Port Angeles or the community of Blyn.

Visit the Dungeness Spit and picnic on a sandy beach. Bring $3 for a day permit for an entire family and some good beach walking shoes. From Highway 101 go north on Kitchen-Dick Road (just east of Sequim) for 3 miles to access the Dungeness Recreation Area.

Have a full day?

Visit Freshwater Bay west of Port Angeles and enjoy some of the best kayaking the peninsula has to offer. Other kayak options besides nearby Dungeness Bay include Ediz Hook and Hollywood Beach for easy launching.

Looking for something a bit more rugged?

Try the Adventure Route and experience a 25 mile trail that runs from Highway 112 north of the Elwha River or at the Spruce Railroad trailhead off East Beach Road and ends at Lake Crescent.

Visit the Olympic Peninsula area wineries

and see why Washington Wines are such a treat.

Pack a lunch, or several, and take a breathtaking drive up, up and up to Hurricane Ridge in the nearly one million acre Olympic National Park. Start at one of the visitor centers to learn how best to enjoy the extreme diversity the park offers based on the time you have. You won't be sorry!

Start your day of birding

with a trip to the Dungeness River Audubon Center at 2151 W. Hendrickson Road (Railroad Bridge Park) to learn about birds and wildlife in the area. Continue on to top birding locations in the area including John Wayne Marina and Sequim Bay State Park; Gardiner Beach; Ediz Hook in Port Angeles; and countless others.

Visit the New Dungeness Lighthouse

an 11 mile (round trip) beach walk along the Dungeness Spit ends at the oldest lighthouse north of the Columbia River –built in 1857. To learn more about this treasure and see if you 'have what it takes' to be a keeper or an “upkeeper” call 360-683-6683 or visit the website.

Come, enjoy the area!
