Great location and had everything we needed

  • 5 of 5

Pros:

- The bed is a real bed and very comfortable (not a sofa-bed!)

- Location. You can’t beat having the Quatre-Septembre metro stop a few steps from the front door. The Opera metro is just a 5 min walk. It’s also close enough to walk to the Louvre and other sights.

- Elevator. The apt is on the 4 floor so the last thing you want to do at the end of the day is take the stairs!

- Washer/Dryer.

- Hairdryer. I wasn’t expecting this so it was a nice surprise, even though I only used it once (the weather was hot!)

- Fast Wifi.

- Olivier. He responded so quickly to my inquiries about the listing, and was easy to work with the whole time. He also promptly returned my refundable deposit (I just had to remind him once by email when I arrived back home).

- Quiet. Even though there’s a restaurant right outside the front door, you can’t really hear anything from the apt even with the windows open. We also couldn’t hear other residents in the apt.

- Clean. The place was really clean, the towels and linen were all freshly washed.

- Price. We were so happy with this apt because of all of the above and especially the price!

Other things to know:

- No Air Conditioner. There is a fan, but that just meant we had to leave our windows open to air the place out. However, if you open the window, there are…

- No Screens. This didn’t prevent us from opening the window but one night we had food out and some bug flew in. It’s not a big deal, but we probably would’ve left the windows open longer if there were screens.

- Shampoo/Soap. I was a little surprised there weren’t any for us, but we had brought some from home. Just remember to bring it with you.

- Small Shower. We are not big people and I agree with others that this was a cozy shower. The water pressure is great though!

- Roissybus vs. Metro/RER. Ok this was the biggest mistake and not a fault of the apt but I wanted to mention this to be helpful if you do stay here. I read from someone else’s review that they took the Roissybus so that’s what we did…it was horrible because we landed at 5p and it was peak traffic time. What should have taken an hour took 2 hours. We were stuck and regretted not taking the RER into Paris! If I had to do it again I would take Olivier’s recommendation on how to get to the apt, or just take the RER into Paris and then take an Uber or cab.

Hope this helps. We stayed here for 5 nights in Aug/Sept 2016 and we’d stay here again!

Neat, well planned space to make the most of the space available

  • 4 of 5

Everything was very well organised and Olivier always responded promptly and helpfully to queries.i would definitely recommend this apartment if you are keen to stay close to the main sights.

All of the appliances worked well and the flat is well maintained.

Excellent Location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this property for 4 nights at the end of our honeymoon in October 2015. The apartment was in an excellent location- literally steps away from the subway. Close to a wine store, 2 grocery stores, a couple good cafes and some really good restaurants! Also about a 15 min walk to the Seine and louvre. The apartment was small but really all the room that you need- when in Paris you just need a place to lay your head! It was clean and tidy. It is on the top floor, but there is an elevator. The stairs are good for working off some of that good French cuisine. Olivier was great while answering our questions during the booking process and he made the process smooth. The only glitch we had during our stay was that the building management changed the entry code and we didnt know the knew one. A resident gave us the new one and all was well. I would stay here again in a heartbeat if I were to return to Paris.

6 Stars out of 5

  • 5 of 5

It was our recent pleasure to stay at this small apartment in the heart of Paris. We were a little apprehensive at first due to this being our first vacation rental. This apartment surpassed all our expectations. The apartment is exactly as portrayed in the photos. It was very clean and well maintained. The appliances and kitchenware were all of high quality and usefulness. It has a oven/grill/microwave combo that works quite well for all forms of cooking. There is a washer/dryer combo that washes clothes very well. The dryer option is limited however the apartment is equipped with a drying rack that works just fine for drying your clothes. The appliances come with instruction manuals in several languages to educate on their operation. It boasts a smart TV that allows you to play your Netflix account through the TV in your language. The apartment is well lit with numerous electrical outlets throughout. It comes equipped with a vacuum in order to keep it clean. Olivier provided excellent customer care, always available with several lines of communication. The location was excellent. We were in the center of Paris yet far removed from the tourist areas. We were close enough to walk to most attractions, with a subway stop just outside our door for those that were not. The area is very safe and convenient, with numerous small supermarkets and bakeries within walking distance. Our favorite was Rue Montorgueil shopping street a 1km (2 subway stops) walk that offered everything you could possibly want in regards to food. We prepared all our own meals and felt we ate quite well, quite Parisian.

The building is very quiet and serviced by a small elevator. Travel to/from CDG is simplified by a short o.5 km walk to the opera and taking the Roissybus directly to the airport. While the studio is fairly small, the layout fully utilizes the available space. The flat is more the size of a hotel room with a kitchenette. You are provided a kitchen area with countertop and stools for eating and a table and chairs for drinking. You have a large comfortable bed with reading lights and extra bedding. There are cabinets for clothes and sufficient room on the floor for suitcases. The only criticisms would be the small size of the shower (a better designed curtain rod would help) and smaller cookware in order to use both burners at once. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Overall score - A++

Great location but we did have a couple of issues

  • 4 of 5

We loved the little apartment in Paris. We stayed for 6 nights and having Wi-Fi was very nice. The flat was small but fit our needs. We did have a couple of problems. The elevator was not working when we arrived so we needed to get up 5 flights of stairs with our luggage. Olivier helped us but for old folks, this was an issue. The lift was fixed that same day. Then on our last day, the power went out even though we were very careful to only have one item plugged in at a time. It took most of the day to get the power back. We packed everything when it was still light outside and went to dinner. Thank heavens the power was back so we didn't have to leave in the dark. I would recommend this place because of the location but just keep in mind it is in a very old building which is part of the charm. The neighborhood was fantastic and for the price, it was a very nice place.

Great location, great manager, very clean!

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is exactly as described. It is small, but perfect for 2 people. We stayed 8 nights for our Anniversary. Everything was very clean, and in working order. Bed is extremely comfortable. There are no screens in the windows, but there wasn't any insects, so we left the windows open at night. It is in the heart of Paris, but on a quiet street. The Metro is about 1 minute away, which was perfect since we used it everyday. There are plenty of cafes and markets close by to get everything you need. Olivier was very friendly and responsive. Our deposit was refunded promptly (after a quick reminder that Olivier asked for in advance.) We would definitely stay here again!

Tips for English Speaking American:

**Ask how to use the washer and dryer. It's in French and not labeled as we would expect at home. It is very simple once figured out how to use it. Dryer functionality isn't the best, but we just air dryed the rest of the way.

**Happy Hour!! A typical 20oz beer/glass of wine is 9 euros in most places. They are 6 euros during Happy Hour. Typically 5-8 pm

**Figure out how to read the Metro map. We went the wrong direction a couple times.

**Buy tickets to the Catacombs online. You can go right to the front of the 2+ hour wait.

**Bring an electric adaptor
