About Jenny Turner

I am married with 3 children, 2 grown up girls of 22 and 19 and a son of 12. I used to run my own business that focused on supporting organisations to develop excellence in customer service - something I am passionate about. This focus on a positive service experience is at the heart of what I look to achieve for our guests. I know myself how I want to be treated and I look to ensure our guests get a really positive and memorable experience when they choose to holiday in our villa.

Jenny Turner purchased this villa in 2004

Why Jenny Turner chose Taranto

We fell in love initially with the position of this property with its truely stunning views across rolling hills. Compared to the many others we looked at this was the one that stood out from the crowd. We have not been disappointed. The views during both day and night are spectacular - it really offers peace and tranquility and yet is only 5 minutes drive from Alberobello. The other attraction as well as being a trullo that exudes character, was its' unique layout being in 2 wings. We love to holiday with friends but also value a degree of privacy and independence at times which this offers. The icing on the cake is the close proximity to Alberobello, a thriving and totally unique town with a wonderful atmosphere and many good quality restaurants where we love to try the local wines and thoroughly enjoy all the wonderful italian culinary delights.

What makes this villa unique

The Layout - we can offer something a little different for the more discerning guests that want the enjoyment of holidaying with other family or friends but also wish to have some personal space and privacy.

The stunning views afforded to you as you sit by the heated pool relaxing in the peace of the countryside

A pool that is enclosed offering greater peace of mind when travelling with young children

A management team that share my vision of providing a truly memorable experience for our guests and go above and beyond in meeting requests for various leisure pursuits - whether it be pizza making lessons, a private chef or for the more active golf or sailing.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful time at your villa in Puglia. We stayed there with our whole family (9 persons). The rooms were all very well equipped and the garden and the terrace were beautiful. The best thing for our three little children (3, 3, and 6 years old) was the swimming pool. They spent so much time in the water, swimming or playing with the little plastic boat.

The landscape around your villa is very beautiful. We liked the "Trulli" and the pretty little towns, Alberobello, Martina Franca, Ostuni and most of all Locorotondo. We had our meals either on the terrace or at the restaurants in Alberobello which were very good. Our favorite was the very friendly restaurant "Fidelio".

We were also very pleased with the agent in Puglia, especially as we arrived nearly two hours late (problems with the flight). The supermarket was closed and our grandchildren were too tired to have a meal in a restaurant. So the agent led us to a place where we could order pizzas to take away and he waited with us until the pizzas were ready.

We all are very sure that we will come back to your wonderful place!

The fabulous 10 x 5m heated tiled pool is a feature of the property that is set in an enclosed walled landscaped garden in an elevated position with stunning views across the Val D'Itria (Open from end April to end Oct subject to weather). The pool has been enclosed sympathetically to retain the character and views, but does provide a greater degree of security and safety for families with young children, with its stone walls and pretty iron fencing with lockable gate. The pool is equipped with 10 aluminium sunbeds and benefits from a pergola providing permanent shade with an aluminium table and 4 chairs. The pool is cleaned regularly throughout your stay to ensure your maximum enjoyment. The villa has 2 patios, both with covered and open areas. The south facing patio is large with a stone table and seating for 10. The east facing patio has a large aluminum circular table with seating for 6. Large parking area with shade at the rear of the property. A large BBQ is available.

average rating of 4.6875 based on 47 reviews

Great house in a stunning location. Everything required for a large party to enjoy Puglia.

  • 5 of 5

The house had everything our party of 11 (5 adults and 6 kids) needed to enjoy a great holiday in Puglia.

Situated in beautiful countryside a short drive from Alberobello and with easy reach of Bari airport.

The house itself is very comfortable, staying cool despite the heat outside. Very clean, with all mod cons and a nice mix of new and antique furniture. The pool area is very well presented with beautiful tiling, plenty of sun loungers and lovely views over the surrounding countryside.

Easy drives to old towns like Locorotundo, Martina Franca, and to the coast at Canne Torres.

Alberobello has a selection of good restaurants, as well as supermarket, post office etc.

A car is a necessity as there are no shops or restaurants within easy walking distance.

Alison, the local agent, was very helpful, giving us tips and advice and organising a home pasta making lesson and dinner.

Lots of books and toys to keep everyone occupied as well as bikes, table tennis, darts etc in the games room.

Owner's Response: Delighted you all had such a good time and thrilled you mentioned in particular the tiled pool and the pool garden. We had this all refurbished this year and have to agree it does look quite spectacular. So glad you enjoyed the pasta making evening and managed to explore so many of the beautiful towns. We look forward to welcoming you back.

A wonderful Villa in a beautiful rural location

  • 5 of 5

We were an extended family group of 3 generations. So that we could all relax a top priority was to have a safe place for young children - the fenced off lockable swimming pool area, with its non slip pool surround and new solar lighting more than met our expectations.

We also loved the abundant space around the villa with its cherry and walnut trees with places for the children to safely explore. The views of the countryside are quite outstanding especially when viewed from the roof terrace. The villa itself is comfortable, appropriately furnished, and the beds and quality sheets were most appreciated. The villa was very clean and well maintained, the kitchens are well equipped and the outside tables and chairs are perfect for family meals together. We made good use of the well equipped games room with bikes, toys and especially table tennis.

The agent Alison was very helpful and dealt with any queries very efficiently and the owner Jenny made every effort to make our holiday a success. We would highly recommend this villa for a great family holiday.

Amazing Family Holiday Villa!

  • 5 of 5

I have recently taken my extended family (Mrs, two kids 1yrs and 4yrs, parents and In laws - all in mid 60's), to this amazing Villa near Alberobello for a two week family holiday. It was brilliant! A beautiful property, with two separate living accommodations which suited our needs perfectly. Very well equipped with all the mod cons, but presented in a very traditional style. The roof terrace offers stunning views of the local countryside and the extensive grounds (at least 3 acres) were amazing for exploring and lizard spotting with my 4yr old. Games room provided lots of fun with ping pong and darts competitions. Used the mountain bikes a lot to as the local are is beautiful and easy to navigate on bikes.

The pool area is stunning and gated (great for little kids). It was a little cold, but we still swam everyday.

The owner, Jenny, was incredibly helpful and informative in the period of time leading up to the holiday and her property manager in Alberobello, Alison, was lovely to. Very welcoming and again very helpful.

Local people, restaurants and bars are all excellent. Local supermarket was excellent, had a brilliant deli counter with lots of local cheese, ham, salami, bread and a very good butchers counter

I can highly recommend this villa - Trulli Sulla Collina, and the area and look forward to returning there next year for another great family holiday.

Beautiful property is

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful stay at the Trulli in late March/early April. Both the main house and truly are beautifully maintained and the games room was pit to great use by the children. Excellent location almost equidistant to the three charmingly exquisite villages of Locorotondo, Alberobello and Martina Franca. I would highly recommend staying here.

A wonderful home for the perfect holiday

  • 5 of 5

Everything about Trulli Sulla Collina is even better than the listing details. Although only 10 minutes from the town, it is in a wonderful quiet location, with a lovely view, surrounded by olive, almond and trees.

We didn't see much of Puglia due to the weather but the place was so comfortable that the absence of sightseeing didn’t bother us. We were 8 people in all and had plenty space, privacy and comfort and yet the house had a lovely homely feel. Moreover the house had everything we needed and the grandchildren loved the games.

Alison and her husband were also very helpful and very pleasant to deal with.

The property is situated within 3 acres of olive and almond grove in a hill top position in rural countryside but within 5 minutes of Alberobello. The approach to the property is down very pretty, quiet stone walled lanes, ideal for walking and cycling. It's position offers some of the most fantastic views across the Val D'Itria and being in this position the property benefits from a cooling breeze during the hot summer months. The nearest town Alberobello which is a UNESCO heritage site and a unique and fascinating place to explore with its' thousands of trulli. Restaurants and coffee bars are plentiful, good quality and very friendly, being full of character, many being trulli buildings. There are many small shops to explore - ranging from good quality clothes shops through to traditional bakers, butchers etc There are large and well stocked supermarkets on the outskirts of the main historic centre and about 5 minutes from the property. These stock branded goods as well as having excellent delicatessen counters for wonderfully fresh Parma ham, olives, sun dried. Tomatoes, cheeses etc etc

The Thursday market in Alberobello is a must, the array of fresh fruit and vegetables is fantastic and the opportunity to soak up the atmosphere of how the locals live is a real cultural experience.

We also offer many activities and leisure past times to make your holiday even more enjoyable from cookery classes, to a Puglian Chef preparing a meal for you, to car and bike hire, please see link below
