Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday apartment in Prague 1 - Most Romantic Apartment Prague

2 bedrooms, 2 living rooms. Sleeps up to 4 persons. FREE wifi & ipod docki

Step back in time! This 445 year old house stands in the very heart of Mala Strana, the oldest and most sophisticated quarter of Prague. PLEASE NOTE -this is a family house so is unsuitable for party groups.

The building and the area are carefully controlled by the Department of Historic Buildings. Gaslit and winding streets lead you to the house, built in 1570 (a few years from what is believed to be the date of Shakespeare's birth!). From the pretty cobbled street, through the ancient door, up three flights of steps, you enter the apartment. Parquet floors, original beamed ceilings and fairy tale views of Charles Bridge, the City Spires and the River Vltava all contribute to the air of history and romance. The comfortable and tasteful furnishings, sympathetic restoration and cross ventilation, the two well separated bedrooms each adjoining another room which then leads to a central hallway all ensure good space & privacy. The well equipped modernised kitchen and full bathroom with laundry facilities, all combine to guarantee a very pleasant stay. Moreover, the superb location and great views makes this one of the most memorable places to stay in Prague.

This apartment is on the third (top) floor of the house. Please note: No lift. Tastefully & comfortably furnished with wonderful views of the Charles Bridge, the River Vltava and the City Spires.

FREE ADSL broadband connection on desk, should you decide to bring your laptop. Also free wi-fi throughout.

Satellite television with approximately 20 English language channels.

DVD player and a selection of DVD films are available in the apartment.

iPod docking station

Telephone on which you can receive although not make international calls. Useful for making free local calls.

Very Good collection of Prague guide books, maps & attraction leaflets.

Owner's local tips and personal recommendation of restaurants

Fabulous apartment!!

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed at this apartment in August and were very pleased. The apartment was located in an excellent part of Prague being so close to Charles Bridge. We enjoyed going for walks around the neighbourhood at night as there was plenty of atmosphere. The apartment building and the suite itself had so much character. The suite was spacious enough to accommodate a family of four. The kitchen had everything you'd need if you chose to make some meals at home. The beds were comparable to other European VRBO's we've stayed in. The owner, Clare, was very easy to deal with from booking to checking in. During check in she took the time to recommend places to see while in Prague. We would definitely stay here again.

Best rental in Prague, with the best host

  • 5 of 5

Not one thing I would say to improve our stay. Clare was amazing, filling us in on all the must-sees around town and being available from the pickup at the airport to lining up our departure. The house was full of charm in the best part of town. Awesome view. The highlight of our three week Europe trip. Missing Prague and Clare's flat already!

What a wonderful place to stay in Prague

  • 5 of 5

Just back from a wonderful 3 night break, for a return visit to the ' Most Romantic Apartment in Prague'. Clare, our host made everything so easy for us with lots of wonderful information on where to visit and restaurants to try out. The combined walking & boat tour was a great way to see so much with Ross, our guide who opened our eyes to the amazing architecture. As vegetarians it was great to have a number of restaurants to choose from and our last night was spent in the very atmospheric restaurant in the Petrin Hills at the midway stop on the funicular, where I had a very tasty courgette fritter with poached egg and spicy vegetables and the best apple strudel ever. It is great to find such a well laid out apartment, very roomy and perfect for 2 couples with lots of privacy and of course the wonderful view over Charles Bridge. This is a real jewel and I hope everyone who books this apartment loves it as much as we did. Thank you Clare for being such a wonderful host, your attention to detail is amazing.

Enchanting views from a lovely apartment

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed in many vrbo apartments and have rarely had one so well-designed and decorated for comfort, relaxation, and convenience. The reading lights by the beds were just the right mix of soft and focused. I loved waking up to coffee and email and looking out from bed at the Charles Bridge and Old Town. The design maximized the quiet and privacy of the bedrooms and gave our two young adults ample territory of their own. Bathroom and kitchen task lighting were excellent and there was such a great airiness and light-filled quality about the place along with the coziness we wanted in winter. Clare is supremely helpful and readily available when I had questions. We felt truly at home.

Location, location, location

  • 5 of 5

Just stayed before Christmas with two teenage daughters. Unbeatable location. View of St Charles Bridge from dining room and bedroom. Lesser town square two minutes walk away, and it was so beautiful just before Christmas. The bridge is two minutes walk away. The castle is a short walk up the hill. The old town is just across the bridge. The apartment has all you need. Clare provides a comprehensive introduction to the apartment and to Prague. Perfect apartment for a trip to Prague.

Well situated Prague appartment

  • 5 of 5

A lovely apartment situated not far from Charles bridge, really clean and tidy with everything to make your stay comfortable. Clare the owner was really nice and very informative about places and restaurants to visit around Prague. We were really pleased with standard of the apartment and the owner we could not have wished for anything better. I would not hesitate to recommend this to any of my friends or family. Thank you so much Clare.

Mala Strana, the oldest quarter of Prague is located beneath the Castle. As can be seen on the location map here next to these details, this apartment truly is superbly centrally located in the heart of the Mala Strana, overlooking the river and the Charles Bridge (Karluv Most). Note the parks and green spaces in this part of the city. The steps onto Charles Bridge are just at the end of the street. Crossing the Bridge, you immediately enter the Old Town at the other side. Historic buildings, places of interest, delightful parks and the finest dining are right outside the door of the apartment house. Tram and metro are very nearby but you will so easily walk to all the major sites that you are unlikely to need them

Other Activities: Jazz, Theater, Opera, Ballet, Concerts, Shopping, Casinos, Nightlife
