Beautiful log home nestled in the mountains of Montana on a prestine lake. Tom is amazing and such a fantastic host. We plan to return again in the summer.
Thank you Tom!
If you have the opportunity to rent this home you should!! We had such a memorable family vacation here. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer! Kelly is the most wonderful property manager! She went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. The home is lovely. The views are amazing. The lake is so clear it's incredible. The only downside is the 8 miles of dirt road to get here ---- BUT it's totally worth it. On one drive in to the house we saw a herd of elk, lots of deer and even wild turkeys. We wanted to explore the Kalispell area (about 30 minutes away) and visit Glacier National Park but the house was SO comfortable we didn't want to leave! Thank you for allowing us to bring our dog -- he thanks you and so do we!! It was a vacation we will never forget :)
Our family have vacationed at Ashley Lake for 20 years. We have camped, trailered and rented almost everything there is on the lake. All of the family is in agreement that this was the BEST so far. The property, the cabin, the amenities, and having Tom around to help us, made everything perfect for us. We are looking forward to more Summers there. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful place with us. Derek and Julie Shaw and Family.
Absolutely the best! Beautiful property with all the amenities. Family of 10 and all were amazed with it's beauty and size. Is definitely the best property in the area and Kelly goes out of her way to make you feel welcome! Can't recommend enough...if you're looking for an unbelievable experience this is the place to stay!
There is really only so much you can say about this place in words. It truly is a magical home set in a beautiful environment next to the pristine, turquoise blue waters of Ashley Lake. Not only is the home absolutely beautiful, but it is equipped with everything you need from a full, beautiful kitchen to kayaks, motor boat, and water trampoline. We did not want to leave! We live in the area and have seen Glacier National Park and do a lot of hiking, but I had no desire to leave the cabin, because we had everything we could ever need right there. On top of it all, Kelly and Tom are the nicest people, very accomadatin and available for anything. I booked this place a year in advance, and Kelly was always so patient and kind with me. There really is nothing bad or negative about this place! This place is especially perfect if you know of 1-2 other families that you would like to share the trip with, the bunk room is great for the kiddos and then there are 3 other absolutely gorgeous bedrooms with gorgeous bathrooms and plenty of space for a few families to share. When you see it, you will be amazed at how large this home is! There are also basically two family rooms, each with a fire place, the main one next to the kitchen has a TV. Both of the upstairs bedrooms have TVs as well, but you will notice that you will completely forget there are TVs in the house, because there are just so many other things to do. If you do want to explore, Glacier National Park is very close - the Going to the Sun Road is officially open for the year! (2016) If you want to do a hike, Avalanche Lake is one of my favorites and usually accessible even if the road isn't open (4 miles round trip).
I booked this house last October and of course, was in painful expectation for MANY months (out trip wasn't until July). As time drew closer, I began to panic that I'd been over fantasizing and would be disappointed when we finally arrived. Well, that was certainly an unnecessary worry - the place did nothing but impress, delight, awe, gratify, and the list could go on and on... The place is packed with high end decor and finishes (and personalized memorabilia). While I found the electrical system a bit challenging to operate (push buttons for everything), I could tell that if you knew what you were doing, it would be useful. The house was totally stocked with cooking items, spices, paper products and even some groceries and first aid supplies. One thing the pictures did NOT show was the absolutely BEAUTIFUL full bar complete with a variety of glasses, sink, and yes, even some tasty liquers/wines. (and a wine fridge). Also, no mention of a wonderful wine cellar but this place had one... I was a little disappointed in the boat house we rented... while it had a beautiful bathroom, it had 6 bunks, no sitting areas, and you had to enter to it from the basement - through Tom's personal space/workshop. These hosts (Tom and Kelly) are so trusting of people, I find it amazing that more do not take advantage of their hospitality. They are wonderful - supply anything, do anything to make sure their guests have the best possible experience. It would be nice if they put king beds in the rooms instead of queens but the furniture throughout is very nice - mostly all European antiques. Our family group of 8 thoroughly enjoyed this property and plan to come back.
The Flathead Valley is the perfect year round place to be. Property is private and secluded but within a short drive to 2 ski areas, several top rated golf courses, Glacier National Park, 5-star restaurants, everything you could want in a vacation!
