Lovely property and great base for exploring Wharfedale

  • 5 of 5

The Old Chapel was a lovely charming place to stay. Comfortable, clean and well equipped. Antony was helpful and responsive prior to our stay. Well situated to explore the beautiful surroundings of upper Wharfedale. Happy to recommend!

Property and situation was perfect.

  • 4 of 5

Property was in a very quiet and peaceful village. Accomodation was comfortable and clean. Something to put your feet up on would have been nice. Someone had left some dishes not properly cleaned. My wife and I could not go again, as the stairs were too much for my wife, who has trouble with her knee joints. But that isn't a fault with the accomodation. Garden catches a nice lot of sunshine. Heating is terrific on a cold evening. Heating and electricity is included. Lovely little tea room in the village. Plenty of dog walks within easy walking distance. Altogether, I would reccomend this property.

Relaxing Stay in Idyllic Village

  • 5 of 5

A well equipped cottage with a very cosy atmosphere. Beautiful views of the fields from the living room windows. Idyllic setting. The owner is very helpful and everything is in order. The neighbours are very friendly and helpful with local information. The welcoming bottle of prosecco was a nice touch!!

Was a little disappointed with location- thought it was detached and not overlooked

  • 4 of 5

Thoughtfully set out and equipped cottage but was disappointed by looking into local outdoor activities centre and it's residents who look straight into lounge and staircase. Also the only pub had closed down so meant driving to the nearest one. However, perfect for walkers!

The Old Chapel Buckden

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the Old Chapel at Buckden over the festive period and we had a wonderful time. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed going to Hawes, Grassington and the Arsgarth Falls I would highly recommend staying at this cottage to my family and friends and we love to go back in the warmer weather.

Superb cottage - great value for money

  • 5 of 5

We spent a lovely winter weekend at The Old Chapel.

The location is superb for walking (and for us, running), eating and drinking.

The cottage has everything you need including fast WIFI (essential for the teenagers in the party).

Considering the temperature outside was minus 4 at night the cottage was lovely and warm and very cosy.

We will definitely return.
