Comfortable, Great Location
A few minutes walk from the Campo and the Duomo, in the center of everything, but remarkably quiet due to the wooden shutters, though we sometimes heard some street noise. Also loved the bed, which was extremely comfortable. Very effective AC, good sized kitchen with everything we needed, bright and cheerful. The only down sides are the 70 steps to reach the apt, and the 3 very steep steps to reach the bathroom. Also, this is a mostly no-car street, so taxis stop a few hundred yards away. I'd go back here in a minute.
This place was perfect for us. It is located in a central location with easy walking access to most of Siena. The apartment was well furnished, comfortable, and quiet. We stayed for five nights and Alexandra helped arrange a private tour of the Chianti region one day that was outstanding. The stairs were a little tiring on day one but by the end we were used to them and appreciated the chance to work off some of the gelato. Thank you so much Alexandra and Antonio!
Wonderful apartment !
This a beautiful apartment, in a great location in Siena. The kitchen/sitting room is so bright and cheerful, and the bedroom and bath are lovely. There is plenty of room to spread out and all our needs were met. Alexandra and Antonio were also very helpful during our stay. We hope to be back !
Beautiful and modern apartment located inside the historic city of Siena. Amazing!
This is the only place to stay in Siena. A charming one bedroom with lots of room. All of the modern amenities, located in the heart of old Siena. Our hosts were gracious and made sure we had everything we needed. This apartment made our trip perfect!
Happy in Siena
I stayed in Suite Giulia at Palazzo Cinotti for the week of the July 2015 Palio. The accommodations are attractive, commodious, and comfortable. A/C, shower, kitchen, bed, and all the key factors that make for a pleasurable home way from home experience should satisfy anyone's high standards. Location is ideal assuming you want to be near the Campo, which is the bulls-eye of Siena's cultural and civic life. There are about 70 marble steps to reach the apartment, but despite my being 71 they didn't feel fatiguing to me because they are spacious and don't require a high step up. The tv is large and loaded with channels, the wifi worked perfectly, and the apartment was quiet despite the frequent Palio bedlam in the street below.
Note that there are 3 steps up from bedroom to the bathroom, and these require your full attention (especially at night) because they are steep and narrow. The owner was prompt and congenial. He gave me a basic tutorial on how to operate things in the apartment, but I never did figure out how to operate the microwave. Be sure to ask questions, and I would suggest there be a notebook with descriptions on how to operate devices like washing machine, Sky tv, etc. I really enjoyed my stay here. As much as I love to be out and about in Siena, coming back to this apartment was almost equal to the many highlights I experienced outside it.
Enjoyable stay in Siena
This apartment is large, airy, and clean, with high ceilings that are painted with elegant designs. This is a very secure 16th-century house that has been recently updated in elegant fashion. The location is ideal, quiet at night, and only a short walk from the campo and the duomo. Tall windows allow breezes at night. The photos and description are accurate. This is definitely a non-smoking lodging, which we appreciated very much. The firm king-size bed was great and featured striped damask linens. The bathroom, up two steps from the bedroom, is tiled in blue and white and contains a washing machine and a good shower.
Good restaurants, especially ones with spectacular views, are nearby.
Alexandra, the host, was helpful and friendly, and her welcome basket was generous. She was easy to communicate with from the beginning, and her firm makes payment easy through credit cards.
The only downside, and not a serious one, is the 72-step hike up to the fourth floor. Alexandra was nice enough to help us 70-year-olds with our luggage. The walk from the bus station takes about 20 minutes with bags.
we appreciate your kind review and hope to welcome you again at our beautiful Palazzo Cinotti!
Palazzo Cinotti is located in a limited access area, mostly pedestrian, it is not possible to reach the Palazzo by car. It is possible to arrive in front of the main entrance of the Palazzo just with a private driver. The nearest parking Il Campo (the street is “Via di Fontanella”) is close to Porta Tufi , at a short walk from the Palazzo, crossing via Mattioli (the entrance road to the car park) and then via San Pietro, making a right turn into via di Città. The car park is open 24 hours, on payment. Car Valet : Available on request, 35 Euro per day.
